These movies aren't the best movies adaptations from video games, it has its flaws, but this one has to be my fav in the series. Can still remember the goosebumps when I first saw this trailer. Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) was such a outstanding and incredible sequel on so many levels. The story, performance's, music, action sequences, special effects, and cinematography was amazing and wonderful. Milla Jovovich did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Alice as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. It was decent. To this day the ending still gives me chills and goosebumps 😰😱 and I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍

I saw this movie a few months ago with my Mother for the first time, and I must admit it's the best zombie movie I've ever seen. I mean, I've seen other RE movies but this is the best to date. I know newcomers like you love this movies because it is a zombie, non-stopping action flick (I even used to like the movies but that was almost 10 years ago, before my first contact with the games). Someday 10 years ago I got Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the third game in the franchise, and I played it with all the characters in it. What a game. It had everything you needed from a George Romero zombie film: story, character development, realism, political and social context, but the most important thing on the movie: IT WAS SCARY AS *HELL*. Then I watched the whole RE movie franchise again, and I noticed something: the original character cast of game never played lead roles on the movies, not even Alice existed on the games. Then I saw how convoluted the story of the movies was, and how much it deviated from the games plot. Basically the hate is because: - The movies dumped the source material. - The movies' main character is an overpowered character that doesn't belong to the canon. - The movies' story doesn't fit with the style and story found in the games. - The games presented political context. The movie did not. - The movies don't relate with the "Resident Evil" title, because they aren't scary at all.
Alice isn't anyone important, just the main protagonist of EVERY Resident Evil film released. She worked for Umbrella and escaped the outbreak in The Hive, she was captured and genetically modified when the Racoon City Outbreak took place allowing her to escape. She fled Racoon City on a helicopter with a Umbrella soldier who was abandoned. The nuclear strike wiped out the helo and he escaped but Alice was recaptured and re-modified. She escaped again leading to RE: Extiction and then to this.

Horror fan? Check out 'Ash VS Evil Dead'. It's a horror/comedy staring Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Lee Majors etc. The first two seasons are up on Netflix with season 3 airing on Starz. Milla Jovovich's first Resident Evil movie since becoming a mother.

The intention of director Paul W.S. Anderson was that this would be the first film in the series to have an optimistic ending. The producers, however, wanted an intense cliffhanger as the ending. The director added the massive attack, leaving the film open ended.
The fight between Chris and Claire against Wesker is almost identical to the fight in Resident Evil 5 (2009) where Wesker fights Chris and Sheva.
First film where Chris and Jill are both present. However Chris and Jill never meet or share any scenes in the film, unlike the Resident Evil games where the two are very close. In fact the couple have worked together in Resident Evil (1996), Resident Evil: Revelations (2012) and Resident Evil 5 (2009).
Chris and Claire confronting Wesker is slightly reminiscent of Resident Evil: Code: Veronica (2000). Coincidently Wesker first shows his superhuman powers in Code Veronica to Chris and Claire same as in this film Wesker first uses his powers on Chris and Claire in the films.
Ali Larter missed seven episodes of her TV series Heroes (2006) in order to appear in the film.
During filming, Milla Jovovich accidentally shot out a $100,000 camera.
Although never mentioned explicitly in the final cut, the script clarifies that despite Wesker's injection Alice's blood system continues to fight off the antibodies.
Despite prominent billing for actress Spencer Locke, her screen time is very limited since she appears briefly at the end. Additionally, the character of K-Mart does not utter a single line of dialogue during the entire film (excluding archive footage from Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)).

I watched this trailer to remember the days how i was waiting for this movie,how i was excited to see it and how i watched this movie 3 times in cinema and save the ticket for the memory.It was my first movie which i saw in 3d and it was insanely amazing.God i wish to back in time to 2010 back for those days,i feel such a good teeenage nostalgia when i was 19yrs old and still love the idea of this and i was waiting for sequels for so many years and they dissapoint me very much exept first four resident evil movies.God still wishing to see this movie in cinema again on huge screen and 3D to remember how good and watchable this movie was in cinema,but not in home cinema.What a memories :D
truly remarkable how far paul Anderson is willing to go to make this movie seem better in comparison to the new RE movie coming out
That time I thought it is fictional movie but today I realise that movie was very much close to reality.

In terms of action this is the best resident evil movie and cool soundtrack as well.

Funny- the last 45 minutes are the first I've ever watched any of these movies ( as in I saw this one before others but the last parts) so now I'm seriously interested.

Horror fan? Check out 'Ash VS Evil Dead'. It's a horror/comedy staring Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Lee Majors etc. The first two seasons are up on Netflix with season 3 airing on Starz. It's one of the most original shows I've seen in years and it's on the bubble as not a lot of people are even aware that it exists.
i didn't like the movie at first, but when i watched it again, i found out that it was damn wonderful :D
