  • Georgia is a state located in the southeastern United States. It was established in 1732, the last of the original Thirteen Colonies.
Named after King George II of Great Britain, Georgia was the fourth state to ratify the United States Constitution, on January 2, 1788.
Georgia is the 24th largest and the 8th most populous of the 50 United States, home to more than 10 million people,
a number that continues to increase every year thanks to the many charms that this State has to offer.
Georgia is known for many things: beautiful old houses, a rich history, Southern charm, and, of course, some of the most welcoming and unique cities in the country.
Thriving cities and charming towns, beautiful countryside connecting mountain vistas with white-sand beaches,
plus a temperate climate offering all four seasons make Georgia one of the very best places to live in the South.
Across the state, you will find world-class entertainment, professional and recreational sports, and restaurants providing cuisine from around the world.
Below-average housing costs, low taxes - and a cost of living that’s lower than what you’ll find in many other U.S. cities - all combine to make Georgia an affordable place to live.
If you’re new to the state or just aren’t completely sure what you want in your new hometown, the following are considered to be the best places to live in Georgia,
all factors considered - education, healthcare, cost of living, quality of life, crime rate, attractions and amenities.
    10. Atlanta. (Good for jobs, education.)
    9. Savannah. (Good for families.)
    8. Augusta. (Good for jobs, retirees.)
    7. Duluth. (Good for jobs.)
    6. Athens. (Education, retirees.)
    5. Decatur. (Family life and funs.)
    4. Peachtree City. (Job, affordability, raise a family, safety.)
    3. Alpharetta. (Job, quality of life, family, safety.)
    2. Johns Creek. (Quality of life, affordability, family, safety.)
    1. Milton. (Education, health and safety.)
Thanks for watching this video. I hope it's useful for you.

@@San-uv9ue Savannah is okay, it has nice restaurants and places to visit. Like River street. It's beautiful on river street when you get to see the sun set over the river. If you're going for education, it's a nice place to go. I've graduated from Georgia Southern with 2 degrees. But the campus there was originally Armstrong before they merged, I was sad about that because I really wanted to graduate from Armstrong but SCAD, is a great college to get a Artistic degree. There's also Savannah Tech.....but Savannah can be very dangerous, Ive gotten emails about shootings and all kind of stuff....but that's like any place that you'll go to, so be careful of the hoods that you visit. Because there are some areas in Savannah that is straight GANGSTER!!!!! But Savannah have nice clubs, like 51 degrees, Elan, Frozen Paradise etc., so if you're the party type, I will say go to 51 first, it has 3 different levels to it where they play all kind of music from Latino to oldies, Elan is good for when artists comes and house party music, but of course visit when Covid is more undercontrol. Also be careful of parking when you're downtown....the traffic can be bad!!!! I've been hit in savannah....and I've seen some terrible car accidents......but if you decide to more there just be aware of the driving.....You can also find a decent apartment there, the cost of living is WAYYYYYY BETTER than like New York, DC and Cali. But yes just be careful if you plan on moving to savannah. Make sure you check to see if there's any sex offenders in the particular area that you're looking for a house or apartment in and what not. If you have children, think about the best schools that will benefit them. You know the usual stuff. Plus Savannah is closer to Hilton Head/Bluffton. So if you get tired of Savannah, you can always travel to SC. Alot of military people live in savannah too. But if you're looking for a more safe and calmer place, then Hinesville is like 45 minutes away. It's where alot of military people retire to, so it's good to raise your children there. it's not busy like Savnnah, AT ALL!! But people that live in Hinesville drive to savannah almost everyday. Ohhh if you like the beach, there's Tybee that's close to savannah..... you may enjoy it. And there's also Richmond Hill, on the outside of Savnnah. It's nice there too. It's much closer to savannah, but I have noticed that the apartments there are a little more expensive....but Richmond Hill is nice too. But BLESSINGS! LOVE AND LIGHT! to where ever you decide to go, may God be with you 💚💙.

As someone who has lived in the Atlanta area for 25 years, I can say Atlanta is a great place to live, if you don't mind being murdered or robbed and spending a large portion of your life in your car getting anywhere, and being subject to a corrupt government including mayor and DA and being without water when the watermanes burst. The best places to live in Georgia were not on this list. They are in the beautiful more northern scenic mountain areas. while some of these suburbs are nice, I currently live in one, they don't have a good work/life balance for people and it makes a lot of people mean and nasty and overly aggresive driving. People live here for work, not because they want to.

I’ve lived in Ga. all of my life. It truly is a beautiful state, but it is quickly becoming a shithole. My feet are tied here from parents and others my wife and I are having to care for, to work. If I wasn’t tied here, I would move tomorrow. They said that Atlanta is a great place to live? In crime, Atlanta ranks as one of the worst in comparison to cities of the same size. Albany Ga is just a small Atlanta and Valdosta isn’t much better. In another 5 years, the only thing good about Ga, will be the fact that it borders the panhandle of Florida. I will say this though. If you ever want to see true beauty, go to Helen Ga. and rent a cabin during the Fall season. You can sit on the porch of your cabin with a cup of coffee and the view of the red maple trees will take your breath away.

I live south of Macon, visited Atlanta many times for sporting events and would never move there for any reason. Traffic is awful, drugs everywhere, panhandling on every corner/on-off ramp, and crime is off the charts. Would not move to Savannah either, one of my kids attended SSU, he and seven of his friends were robbed at gun point on campus. Chatham county has a bad meth problem and it is pretty much a dump.

@@daclass1985 Sybil is right, St. Simons is great. It really depends if you like the city or the country, but since you are not married and young I am guessing you would want more of a night life. Which, that is going to be Atlanta or Savannah but I still would not live in the city there are plenty of nice cities surrounding Atlanta. If you like the beach and just have to be near the shore I would recommend Bluffton SC, not GA but right across the border from Savannah. If you want land some of the cheapest I have seen is in the Cochran/Montrose area although it is starting to grow in those cities. Peachtree City is also nice, but expensive. Stay away from Macon, there are some nice areas there but I would avoid it altogether, just on the other side is Jones County that area is not bad. I live by Warner Robins, its nice but crowded, I would keep going past WR and look in Perry if you want to be in center GA.

You said despite the urban population. So explain how NYC with 8 million people living there is named one of the safest largest cities in the United States? Atlanta just has politicians that don't care about making the City safer and better for its residents and visitors.

Right on money other smaller towns that would be good for people to move to would be like in Gwinnett county Buford Suwanneeand Lawrenceville
Enough where I live the pretty small towns that get forgotten in a lot of these lists are like coming Jasper ellijay blue ridge were the people who get forgotten on any list but we're good community up here in the north and good places to live for is visitors especially come through a lot it's more of a retirees when you move north where is if you move South the middle you're getting more of the middle class you move out towards Decatur and places like that you're moving more in the upper class Murrieta upper class like areas so you just have to pick what's best for your situation like I said before and I said again I live in Jasper because of my income and it suits me based on my needs of what I wanted so that's why I chose Jasper out of all the towns in Georgia to move to

He's talking about the City of Decatur. He mentioned the best schools and that's definitely in the city of Decatur. That building in the video is the Dekalb County courthouse in downtown Decatur. It's more expensive than the rest of Decatur for a reason. I definitely like North Decatur too!
