You're on your way back from a day of hunting for chests, when you see Zhongli standing in a field of glaze lilies. His eyes were closed, and he looked so peaceful. You walked towards him to see his face better, and right before you stop in front of him, he opens his eyes. "This is an awkward position for us both to be in, he says as his eyes stare deep into yours. You take a few steps back, before he reaches out and stops you. "I thought you wanted a little bit of space." You say, confused as to why he stopped you. "But I never spoke any words that could lead you to that conclusion." He responds. He turns towards the setting sun, and you stare at his back. It was silent for a moment before he said, "Have you ever run through a field of glaze lilies?" "Plenty of times" You respond, a little curious. He turned towards you again and asked, "Have you ever run through a field of glaze lilies with someone there, who will always be there by your side?" It was silent for a few moments. "No, I haven't." You say. His eyes stare into you again, as if looking for your soul. "Would you like to?" Before you could get a chance to respond, he starts running, his hand in yours. You feel your hair whip against your face, and you couldn't help but laugh. Even though you couldn't really see much of his face, you saw Zhongli's mouth curve upwards. 30 minutes later, you guys are laying down, looking up at the sky. You both enjoy the silence as you try to catch your breath. "That was fun" You say. His breathing had deepened, so you turn to look at him. He was asleep, his hand still clutching yours. You smile, and fall asleep like that. When you wake up, it was already morning and Zhongli was nowhere to be seen. You stood up and stretched and looked all around you. There was a note on the ground, and when you picked it up, you smiled. "Lets do this again sometime." Was what the note said. You almost tucked the note in your pocket before you saw a few more words that were smaller. "The flowers are almost as beautiful as you." You blushed a little bit, and tucked the note into your pocket. As you walked away, you promised to remember, that night in the field of glaze lilies.

You sat in the field, taking in the sweet scent of the glaze lilies all around you. You carefully picked a glaze lily from its stem, intricately wrapping it up into the flower crown you were making for your beloved. At that moment, you feel two hands cover your eyes. "Guess who~" the velvety voice teased as your heart leapt. "You came Zhongli. I've missed you my love!!" You cheer as the hands lifted themselves off of your face. You hold the flower crown behind your back as you get up and turn around, seeing your boyfriend. You've waited for this date day for so long and now he is here.
He smiled as he bent down to kiss your forehead. "Hello my precious y/n. I hope you haven't waited to long." You shook your head as you revealed the glaze lily crown. "I made this for you!!" You exclaimed, smiling softly. His cheeks become a light pink as he grinned, taking the flower crown and putting it on his head. "I love it dear. Now what was it you wanted to show me?" He asked. You grabbed his hand, and a cheeky smile erupted on your cheeks. You sprint off, dragging him along behind you. He laughs as he tries to keep up. You guys continue running for what seemed like forever, but it really only was a few short minutes. You guys arrive at the base of a tall tree, its autumn leaves falling slowly around you. You motion towards the picnic you had set up. "Its our date!!" You smile as Zhongli chuckled. You feel yourself get lifted into zhongli's arms as he spins you. After the spinning stops, he looks you in the eye. "I love you for forever and always y/n. Don't ever forget that." He exclaimed, his tone sincere. You smile softly, your face bright red. "I won't." You reply. He smiled back at you as he leans in for a tender kiss.

POV- (Angst, Fluff)
You had always loved lilies. They were so beautiful in your eyes. That was until you couldn’t see them anymore. You had lost your vision when you were 15 and it had been 5 years since then. You never knew the full reason why you lost it, your parents had never told you. You had adjusted in the time period of 5 years and even had a guide dog to help. It still didn’t satisfy your need to see though. As you walked about endless streets of Liyue, you ran into an object or at least you hoped it was. You backed up and apologized profusely. A soft yet sturdy voice responded,
“It’s quite alright.”
It was Zhongli. You and Zhongli had never been that close, you were mere acquaintances. You could identify his voice though. You could feel your dog tug on the leash and sniff Zhongli.
“I truly am sorry, please allow me to make it up to you.” You said with a soft tone.
“If you so adamantly insist, please assist me with picking flowers.”
You only nodded and you heard the sound of fabric shifting. A hand grabbed yours and another hand was placed on your back for stability. You interpreted it as a signal to begin walking. It was about 15 minutes before you could reach the designated area.
“We have arrived.” Zhongli said as you removed his hands from your body.
You hummed in response as you felt the rays of the sun shine on your skin. It felt so serene and tranquil. You smelled the light essence of flowers around you. You leaned down and ran your hands over the plants. You had realized you were in a valley. Your dog gently tugged on the leash, leading you. You followed and soon came to a stop.
“These are lilies..” Zhongli said barely above a whisper.
You stayed silent as you bent down to sit in the valley of lilies. You missed this feeling. Though it wasn’t the same as before, you had missed it so much. You heard the shifting of fabric and footsteps. You suddenly noticed a presence right next to you. It was not your dog, but it was Zhongli. His hand moved to place a delicate lily in your hair.
“Thank you very much.. it has been such a long time since I enjoyed to presence of lilies..” You said in a slightly sad tone.
He hummed in response. You decided to shift your position and lay against the bed of lilies. The warm sun washed over your face as you relaxed. Your dog curled up next to you and rested as well. You might have lost your vision, but you have created new memories in the process.

So, this is a bit different than the title of the playlist is, but hey, it's...something :>
You stepped carefully on around the glaze lilies, afraid of accidentally stepping on one. Behind you, Zhongli carefully walked, gazing down at them with a melancholy look as he lost himself within his thoughts. As you turned to face him you watched as he slowly hummed a small tune, reminding you of your real purpose here.
Looking down at the glaze lilies once more, tears slowly filled both of your eyes as you listened to his humming. You bent down, grabbing one of the glaze lilies before standing tall once more, softly holding it in your hands as you were reminded of her once more.
“Do you think she would be happy?” He mumbled, kneeling down to stare at the lilies once more.
“Of course she would,” You said, your own voice dropping lower as her image flashed in your head. “You’ve done so much for Liyue, Mora-“ You paused, clearing your throat, “-Zhongli.” You knew better than to call him that at this time. If all he was reminded of was her, then you had no choice than the play around that, ignoring any ways of hurting him any further.
Your heart throbbed as his gaze on the lilies softened, reminiscing those old memories that he had of her. Your soft grip on the lily turned tight as you pinched its stem with your fingers, the glaze lily shifting backwards in response. He loved her still and there was nothing you could do about that. His soft hums continued as you stared down at the glaze lily in your hand before walking further away from Zhongli, ignoring his calls of your name as multiple emotions pushed thoughts into your head.
“He still loves you, dear sister,” You mumbled feeling your heart painfully throb as someone tugged a heartstring while you picked a petal off of the glaze lily. “How wonderful, isn’t it?” You paused remembering her beautiful smile while you pulled another petal.
“Why did you have to go? Why did you have to be so stubborn?” Tears flowed from your eyes as you pulled another petal, remembering her bloodied body amongst the glaze lilies. “It should’ve been me,” you pulled another, sliding it into the palm of your hand beside the other petals. “I should’ve gone instead of you!” you pulled the last petal, dropping the stem to the ground while holding your clenched fist filled with petals above your head, remembering her last and final words that stuck beside you to this day.
“Maybe he would’ve been happier with that. Maybe he wouldn’t be such a lost soul. Maybe…” Your fist slowly released its grip on itself as the petals slowly fluttered down onto your body while Zhongli’s own hand slowly took your raised one. He pulled down your hand, kissing your knuckles as you turned to face him, your teary eyes meeting his own amber ones that seemed to shine brighter in the night.
“Love,” He mumbled to the back of your hand, pausing as if he were thinking of words to say. “Had it had been you who had taken her place, she would have lost herself,” He paused. “I…would have lost myself. You were the one to ground me through everything,” He pressed a warm kiss on the back of your hand as he turned you to face him.
“Although I do miss her, she will forever remain as a dear friend, for you are my one and only,” He softly let go of your hand as he placed a hand behind your neck while his other arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to him as his warm lips met yours.

This was a time when he was considered, as one may call it, a bonehead. Stubborn and strong-willed... but not strong-brained. He once met a god of dust and wisdom. She was keen; she was most everything Zhongli was not. Old mythoi would suggest the two ruled over the place now called Guili plains. Only Zhongli remembers. Only Guizhong is long passed. Dust and Stone would eventually settle, hidden in the glaze lilies. The Dust and Stone by which those glaze lilies would flourish for a thousand years. The flowers by which Dust was put to rest.
“An old friend long gone. Though they do say that Rex Lapis had an extensive memory.”

What happens is that Zhongli still can't solve the puzzle until today and hangs around the places where glaze lilies are at.

You simply cannot wait to see the glaze lilies field so you were running like a little girl who will find something fun before her.
When Zhongli said he had a day off as a reward from Hu Tao, he immediately asked you to join him for a walk, saying that he want to meet his old friend. And beside, he said that the glaze lilies are blooming a week ago.
"Woah, it's pretty," you amazed when you see the glaze lilies field before you till as far as your eyes can see. "It's ethereal!"
"Pretty, isn't it?" Zhongli walked behind you with a thin smile in his face.
"Zhongli, let's go to the middle!" you shouted as you ran from him.
"Dearest, please be careful!" he shouted, reminding you not to run to fast. But at the end, Zhongli still chasing after you.
The pink-hued sky matched the silvery earth. You took a deep breath when you stop as the wind blows, running through your hairs, sending the scent sweet of the glaze lilies.
"I can't believe that you said this was the land where the Archons fighting against each other," you murmured, knowing that Zhongli was listening to you.
"I did say that, dear. It was a millennium ago," Zhongli snaked his arm around your waist.
"A millennium ago, she wished this field would be covered in glaze lilies or other pretty flowers. And her wish comes true," memories rushed in Zhongli's mind.
You smiled, knowing how hard your lover has come through all of the pain. Pain of losing his dearest friend, and to wait until her dream comes true like now.
"Oh, what are you doing, dear?" he asked as you kneeled down, letting the glaze lilies tickle your feets and clasped your hands together, praying.
But you didn't answer him, already knowing what were you doing.
"May you find peace in the afterlife, Lady Guizhong," you whispered. The wind blew your pray with the scents of the lilies underneath you.
Meanwhile, Zhongli who was just standing there suddenly felt some kind if pressure. He looked up and averted his eyes. And there she was, standing in front of him and you. You may not notice her, but Zhongli can saw her clearly. "You finally found your missing half, Zhongli." the God of Dust smiled at Zhongli sweetly. "I'm happy for you,"
A single drop of tears slid down to his cheeks as her figure faded away. Zhongli smiled and wiped his tears. "As if you already know she was my other half, Guizhong," Zhongli chuckled.
"Zhongli, you're crying?" you stood up and see the stain on his cheek.
"No, my love. The wind blew hard enough to send some dust to my eyes."
Your eyes suddenly catched something that took your attention. A shining glaze lily. You thought it was the most beautiful glaze lily in the field. You intended to pick it up for you and kneeled down.
But, "oh--" you stopped when you feel a gloved hand on yours. "Zhongli?"
You looked at him as he smiled at you. "Here, let me pick it for you."
"Thank you," you smiled softly at him.
"Don't bother it," he said as he tucked the lilies to your hair.
"Hey, Zhongli..."
"What is it?"
"Will you always love me like you always remember Lady Guizhong?"
"It's a ridiculous question, my dear. You already know the answer. And most importantly, you're the dearest for me. I will always love you for the eternity."
"Oh, Zhongli," you hugged him as he kissed the top of his head.
It already set in stone. You will always love him and so as him. It was an eternal contract. Nothing can break it.

Imagine leaving/running away from mondstadt for the sake of forgetting diluc and travelling to liyue to clear your mind, not to mention paying your friend Zhongli a visit. (ya know, just to vent and stuff) and staying in liyue for a while with zhongli helping you heal but you are slowly falling for him.
Which leads to where you are now, running through the glaze lily fields, hand in hand with Zhongli, the smile that once had shattered after witnessing diluc and Donna together had now came back after the amber eyed man gave you a look full of love and adoration.
You swore you felt something in your chest that wasn't painful for the first time. (hallelujah to that)it was something so warm and fuzzy....
truth be told, the geo archon did captured feelings for you but around that time he kept it hidden once you told him about your crush on the owner of Dawn winery
After hearing news that it was all but unrequited love he couldn't help but pity you, the time you appeared right in front of him with tear stained cheeks and puffy red eyes... His heart cracked.
"How could Diluc choose her over you of all places?" those were the words that he said to himself as you were telling him what happened back in the wind City.
Sure he was frustrated about it for a moment but it soon subsided.
He realized that he still has a chance with you.
He had to thank Diluc because if it weren't for him, he wouldn't have had experienced this special moment:
Planting a kiss on your lips under the sunset surrounded by the glaze lilies.
Diluc was now the least of your worries as you continue to walk with Zhongli hands intertwined,
Approaching what might be a beginning of your new and joyous relationship with the funeral consultant.

You were waiting for Zhongli wearing a white dress that stops bellow your knees, with beautiful white rose hairpins. you gaze to your left seeing more couples hanging out. You look over to them loosing focus on reality, you were wondering what happens next after all this.
Zhongli taps your shoulder, “Was I late?” you glance over your shoulder, “Oh no, it’s fine. I was just admiring the flowers after all.” he sits beside you observing the little details of the flowers.
God, if I were to control the future, I’d be marrying this man, you think to yourself.
You get lost in his eyes, “Are you okay, Y/N?” you froze in spot, “Ah! yes, sorry i-“ he cuts you off with a chuckle, “HEY! what’s funny hm?” “Nothing, nothing.” he teases. after a little while, you find yourself getting tired and sleepy, “Hey, isn’t this so relaxing?” He nods to your sentence. “Gahh, I wish I could stay here forever.” you say with a bit of sadness.
“Hey, since we’re already spending the last hours in the field, I want to show you something.” Zhongli says, “What is it?”
He reaches for your hand helping you to stand up, “Follow me okay?” “Okay. I trust you.” you reply, which made him let out a chuckle, “I’m glad.” he says smiling. That smile is enough to cheer me up even on the lowest times. He pulls you into the field letting the petals fall on the both of you as you run into the field.

A gentle breeze rustled your hair. You could only hear the sound of the wind as the both of you sat amongst the the field of glaze lillies. Zhong Li invited you today to accompany him sightseeing in Liyue. After a long day at the harbor, he thought it would be a good idea to end the day by watching the sunset together.
Just when you thought you've seen in all, the Geo Archon still manages to surprise you. Throughout your journey, never once have you seen so many glaze lilies in one place. The two of you have been sitting in silence ever since you got to the field. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence though, rather quite a welcoming one. In the distance, you could see that the sun has started to set. The colours of the sky never ceased to amaze you. You sighed in awe.
"A beautiful sight, isn't it?" said Zhong Li, finally breaking the silence. A soft smile on his face.
"It really is... Though, I didn't expect to see so many glaze lillies. Aren't they rare?"
"Well..." he said. "An old friend of mine was very fond of these flowers. Back then, you could find an abundance of them throughout Liyue. Nowadays however, only very few of them exists in the wild."
Zhong Li paused before he spoke again.
"This field, is merely a space I have created in her memory... You are the first to come here in a very long time."
You could hear a tinge of sadness in the way he spoke. Or was it longing? The archon has lived for thousands of years. A millenia of loneliness. Immortality can be a painful thing.
This field meant so much to him. Letting you join him here is... quite an honour.
"Ah, I apologise. I did not mean to sour the mood," he said.

The lilies danced in the wind, as you sat there. The tea warming your fingers and soul, but you longed for more. How you wished these lilies weren't of the plain white color, but that of the blue, yellow, and white. Instead of your hoodie and shorts, you longed to be in a beautiful gown only a goddess could wear. You close your eyes, and instead of the tea, a pair of arms wrapped around your waist. You open your eyes to find that you were staring into those eyes. Those eyes that were formed from rock for you to see and for him to look at you.
"What is on your mind, my dear?" He questioned, picking up a Glaze Lily and placing it into her hair.
"Do you hear that Zhongli,?" You questioned, hearing a soft melodic tune in the distance.
"Perhaps you could hum the tune you are imagining, dearest." He pressed a quick kiss to your temple.
You began to hum and add a few words. "When the glaze lilies bloom once more, will you sing for them." You had stated at the end, delighting in a passionate kiss with him. The stars flickered, as the sun fell down below the horizon.
"I think, I know what's truly like, to move on. For so long, Quizhong was stuck on my mind. Wondering if she would reincarnate into another person so I could touch, but I have learned, she won't be coming here. But those who kept her memory alive. And that is you my dear." He kissed your forehead.
"I love you." You say as you whisper into the universe, staring up at the stars drinking your tea once more in a hoodie and shorts.
Perhaps one day. One day, I'll find someone real who mirrors you.

white clouds, hinted with mixes of blue and orange were drifting across the sky. the glaze lilies were beginning to bloom, slowly opening their delicate petals as the sun sank below the horizon.
zhongli stood in the middle of the field, watching you slowly come into view. your bright [e/c] eyes sparkled as you ran to him, almost throwing yourself into his open arms.
"zhongli," you whispered, joy alighting your voice.
"[name]," he said lovingly, stroking your hair. "it has been a while since i've last held you like this."
"we never had the time," you chuckled, wrapping your arms around his neck.
the moon was beginning to rise, the glaze lilies fully coming into bloom. "shall we walk?" he offered, releasing you. intertwining your fingers with his, you nodded as the two of you chattered away while strolling through the field of beautiful flowers.
the field was where you stayed all night, talking and picking the flowers, laughing and smiling as the sun began to rise again.
you stood up from where you sat among the lilies, gaze wistfully turned to the rising sun. "it's time," you murmured sadly. turning to your beloved, you pressed a final, lingering kiss to his lips. he watched you pull away, golden eyes taking in every movement that you made.
"goodbye," you whispered, the final wisps of your almost transparent form disappearing with the sun. "my love."
those were the last words he heard you say as the sun began to make its arc across the sky and the glaze lillies began to close.
OK I can just imagine that this reader is like a weak god like Guizhong or smth and they can only appear while the glaze lillies in that one specific field and Zhongli doesn't have much time to visit us as he has a mortal life now and I'm somewhat happy somewhat crying my damn eyes out 🥲

It has been a long day, the cranes flying, the cats meowing, and the dogs happily wagging their tails. You went into Liyue to claim your rewards for commissions, and went to visit the Funeral Parlor Zhongli works at, but he wasn’t there. With a bit of thinking you realize where he could be. As you look for Zhongli at the Adepti’s seatings you spot Zhongli in a nearby glaze lily field. He was so calm, his figure towering over the fragile and beautiful lilies, the suns rays complimented the golden tips of his hair. As you approached him, he already knew you were present.
“Ah, traveller...why don’t you sit with me and listen to a great story I have..”
You spend the rest of the sun fall and night listening to Zhongli’s incredible stories till you fell into a slumber of peace. As the tunes of Mondstat play, the chatters of Liyue’s Harbor, the buzzing of Ruin Guards, and the falling feathers of the cranes, nothing could disrupt the peace Zhongli had surrounding the two of you.

it's your last day with Zhongli before he disappears. You wanted to make it special. Zhongli would tell you stories ad you walked around liyue smiling and giggling. He was very calm even though he knew he wouldn't be by your side anymore. You just ate grilled fish with him as he continued talking non stop. It was the last time you'll hear his voice so you gotta make the best of it. It got to sunset, you and Zhongli slowly walked into a field of glaze lillie's. You watched as the fire flys would slowly fly around you guys. Zhongli walked behind you slowly as you were kinda far ahead. Zhongli was just admiring the glaze lillies. It was such a amazing sight for him.. you turned around as he just grew weak falling onto his knees " Z-zhongli" you ran to him and held him in your arms. Zhongli stroked your cheek " take care of everyone for me okay? I'll be back.." You shook him "Zhongli wait!"
Zhongli Disappeared in your arms. You teared up but soon looked down at the glaze lilly that was in your hand. You placed it in your hair then got up taking a deep breath. " Zhongli.."
after a few years of Zhongli Disappearance you would always go back to the field of glaze lillies with the same flower in your hair that Zhongli left. You decided to go to the field early thinking it'll be prettier at sunrise. You suddenly stopped as you saw Zhongli silloutte in the middle of the glaze lillies. " Z-zhongli!!!!" You ran towards him and pounced onto him crying into his arms. Zhongli eyes softens as he held your waist " Mmh...Y/N I told you I'll be back.."

"Oh. Yes... that would be lovely." He kneeled down next to you on a small stool, and began planting the flowers. He knew exactly what to do of course, as with most things due to his vast amount of knowledge on just about everything. Suddenly he didn't feel quite as nervous. The silence wasn't awkward, and the two of you simply enjoyed each other's company for a short while. He reached for the dirt scooper and suddenly felt a small hand cover his, only to pull back immediately.
"Go ahead." He said gently, letting you take it.
His heart skipped a beat as you shyly met his his eyes, slightly embarrassed at the accidental touch, even thought it was through gloved hands. Suddenly the peaceful atmosphere was gone again, and all he could think about was touching your hand again.
And again.
And again.
But he doubted you were thinking about it, and felt foolish for fixating on it so much. He leaned over to your side of the flowerbed to cover some roots with dirt, and at the same time you leaned over to his side, almost making your heads collide.
"Oh..." the both of you sat there with your mouths hanging open, unsure of what to say or do.
His amber eyes seemed to glow an almost otherworldly gold in the moonlight, and you couldn't help but be completely hypnotized by them for a moment. It was strange to think that the god of Liyue himself was so close to you, or the fact that he even trusted you with that secret to begin with. To you, he was so much more than that though, and you only wished you could tell him.
"Zhongli..." you spoke up softly. "You... you didn't come here to plant flowers with me... did you?" his eyes widened, and he knew he couldn't lie.
At that moment, He remembered Childe's words to just get it over with. Don't overthink it. Don't think about it at all.
"No... I did not." He looked down, and stood up from the flowerbed. If he was about to confess to you, he wouldn't do it in the dirt.
He took off his gloves, and silently extended a large slender hand. Confused but intrigued, you took yours off too and accepted it. He helped you to your feet, and guided you over to underneath large tree in your yard, his hand still lightly clasped onto your fingertips. He let go, and put both hands behind his back, staring out of your yard, which was on a hill just outside Liyue, and down onto the city.
You looked at his somber expression, wondering what thoughts were going through his head. He always looked like this, tall, proud, and wise, with the weight of thousands of years of living sitting heavy on his shoulders, being even more evident in the way his brows always knitted together deeply when he was lost in thought.
"In all my years..." he began, still looking straight ahead. "I've encountered few things as difficult as this..." He smiled ever-so-slightly, then sighed. You stayed silent, waiting for him to continue. "One cannot know what time will bring us, and I am no exception to this. In my time in this world, I've learned not to think about what those things will inevitably be." he sighed once more and closed his eyes, realizing he was overthinking it again. "I have a confession to make, and a... contract of sorts... to propose." His intense, stoic gaze peered deeply into your eyes, leaving you at a loss for words.
All you could do was slightly nod, urging him to go on. He decided to take a chance, and take your hands in his once again, and was relieved when you didn't pull them away.
"In the time we've come to know each other... I'd like to think we've become quite close, yes?" You nodded, more than agreeing with the statement. "So would I... in fact... I've found that I've become quite... captivated by you."
His slightly ambiguous words made your heart race in anticipation, not quite saying he liked you, and not quite saying he didn't. It was clear he was struggling to get to his point, whatever it may be. He always did this when he was avoiding talking about something, so you reassuringly squeezed his hand.
"Now about this contract..." he paused. "It's a special contract unlike any other I've ever made. One to thank you for what you've done for me. For giving me a sense of purpose I thought would be gone forever. For giving me something to look forward to when I wake each morning, and bringing me such joy when I needed it most."His deep, rich voice as sweet as honey felt heavenly in your ears, and the things it was saying even sweeter. You couldn't believe this was actually happening, and he couldn't believe how easily it was coming to him all of a sudden to tell you.
"This contract... a contract of hearts... will bind mine to yours for however long you would have it, and I would swear to protect you with my very life, and cherish you with all my soul. To be yours... and only yours for all time." He was intense no doubt, which was in character for the god of geo when making a new contract, and while his proposition would have scared most people, you understood and loved him all the same.
"This covenant is absolute, all but for one exception... should you ever be unsatisfied with our union, I will render this contract void... and set you free." He looked down, seemingly hurt at the very thought of it. It broke your heart to see it.
"And should you not share my feelings at all... that is also fine. I shall respect your wishes." He couldn't bring himself to look in your eyes, and stared down at your hands, still resting in his palms.
"Where do I sign?" You said, grinning from ear to ear. This made him perk up, and a gentle smile also come to his face. He lightly chuckled, and intertwined your fingers with his.
"You just did, my dear." he replied, getting closer and closer to you, until his lips softly met yours, and delicately began moving in perfect harmony with your own.
It was a kiss that only a gentleman of Zhongli's caliber could achieve. So mellow, yet so passionate. So simple, yet set off fireworks throughout your entire body. He pulled you closer to him with one hand on the small of your back, the other placed on the back of your head. He kept it there as he pulled ever-so-slowly pulled away from the kiss, and brought your head to rest on his chest, and held you in a way that made you feel so warm and protected, like nothing in the world could possibly hurt you in his arms.
You always wondered what it would be like be like this with him, and it was somehow even better than you'd ever imagined. After a few moments like that, he pulled away again, and gave you one more tender kiss on the forehead.
"Care for a walk, my love?" He extended his arm to you, and you eagerly accepted, hooking your elbow under his, and beginning your romantic stroll under the moonlight with your new love, Zhongli.
On your walk, you passed by a certain redhead. He stood on a balcony smirking down at the two of you like the two of them knew something you didn't, before subtly winking at Zhongli, who only nodded in acknowledgement. You thought how strange the interaction between them was, but decided to not press him for information. You simply wanted to enjoy this night, and soak it in all you could. He told you centuries worth of stories about Liyue and even Teyvat itself, and you clung onto every word that came from his lips.
This man next to you had all your attention, all of your heart, all of your love, and you intended on keeping it that way... forever.

Zhongli never thought he could fall this hard, in all of his immortal years, he never thought this would happen. Ever. But it did. And he was not disappointed.
You were running around in a light blue cottage dress in the field of glaze lilies, your skirt hyping up and down from the air pressure. You were beautiful, no denying that.
Your (hair color) hair swayed, swirled, and shone in the sunlight. Your angelic light singing being the only thing Zhongli could hear.
He moved in closer to you, took your hand, and your other, and started swaying side to side with you, a little dance that you both loved because you had shared your first kiss while doing this little gesture.
You being caught up in the moment; kissed him. This little sign of affection being Zhongli’s favorite thing in the entire world. He would trade MORA for this.
“I’m so happy I could spend today with you,” Zhongli said. Automatically making your heart flutter. “Not as much as me.”

He stood like a pillar in the field of glaze lilies, under the illuminance of the moon. He was tall and slender, arms crossed, as still as can be. Dressed in attire not suited for the outdoors. His long hair wrapped in a thin ponytail, brown which faded to a lighter shade near the tips. The glint of a geo vision caught your eye.
Slowly you backed away from the man not wanting to disturb the man engulfed in the tranquility the area provided him. Then suddenly he turned around, a sigh escaping his lips and you froze.
Your jaw agape, drinking in his beauty. A defined jaw line, soft lips, his brown hair framing his face as though a work of art.
His eyes captured you, golden like cor lapis. Warm like the beams of the sun. The two streaks painted on the outside of his eyes a orange-red pigment, highlighting the golden effect.
‘Oh lord of geo stop staring!!’ You scolded yourself for rudely staring at a stranger.
“I must’ve disturbed you, I’m sorry! I’ll take my leave now! I’m really sorry sir!”
As you did a thunderous growl stopped you dead in your tracks, you turned to see the man a tinge of pink at the sound of his stomach growling.

That was a few months back, when you first met the vastly knowledgeable man. He told you stories and information that caught your attention whenever you visited the fields.
The two of you falling deeper and deeper in love, but failing to notice the other’s oh so most obvious hints.
Zhongli realized he was completely enraptured by you when you brought a basket of freshly picked flowers to teach him the art of flower crown making.
You wore his awkwardly woven crown of marigolds, sunflowers, and glaze lilies with the most warming of smiles. And you asked how you looked and he simply stated, “Breathtaking Y/N, absolutely breathtaking.”
Finally the day came, this opportune moment. His heart hammering wildly against his chest, hands shaking as he held the box containing a single silver ring with a piece of cor lapis as it’s gemstone.
“Zhongli? What’s all this?” You arrived.
His eyes shot towards you and knew he couldn’t wait any longer.
“Do you like it? I’ve prepared it with some help from a friend.”
“I love it Zhongli. I do truly.” You said with a bashful blush.
He held your hands, practically towering over your figure. Your face beet red at the closeness of Zhongli.
With a deep breath he spoke, “Y/N I must be truthful to you. I’ve fallen for you. So deeply words are fleeting my mind, I find it difficult to describe.”

He continued tears threatening to spill as he spoke, “In all the years I spent in complete solidarity. I never thought someone like you would make all those lonely years, disappear in a single night.”
He went down on one knee looking to you and only you.
“I love you with my all my heart, I will never do anything that brings you pain. I will never leave you. For as long as I am able, will wrap you in love and affection as you so rightfully deserve.”
Tears streaming from your cheeks as he uttered the words, “Will you marry me?”
You nodded, hand over your mouth as you sobbed in joy, “Yes Zhongli! I do!”
He slipped the ring on and pulled you in a warm embrace of romance. Capturing your lips with the feathery touch of his, in fear of hurting you.
Once you both pulled away he lifted you close to his chest as he spun the two of you around in the field of blossoming glaze lilies. Laughing through the tears you both shed.
He loved you, and you loved him.

Zhongli is someone who you loved very much. You knew Zhongli since the Archon War, seeing Guizhong die in Zhongli's arms. You knew how much Zhongli was in distress. Seeing the person you love, love someone else just hurts, honestly.
"Y/N?" Zhongli said, you didn't know what to say since he was just sitting there... watching the sun go down in a field full of lilies, crying. You start to tear up since obviously the reason he was crying was because of Guizhong. "Cmon let's run around the field" you take his hand and you both run around the field and laugh, finally, you made your loved one laugh. His tears start to fade. He finds lamp grass, makes a necklace out of it, and puts it on you while you put your lamp grass crown on him. You both run into the distance while you saw a glimpse of a figure, "Huh?" you said confused, "Is there something wrong?" Zhongli asks "No, there's nothing wrong.. Let's go check if there's more lamp grass so we can make a crown for Childe," you said happily. "Alright, if you say so"

He likes to think that he looked at you the same way and that you understood just how deep his feelings for you were. For someone as old as him, time just wasn’t the same and he thought he had all of eternity to tell you about how you bewitched him to the core.
Alas, time doesn’t stop for anyone, not even for the lord of contracts. Now, as he stands over your grave in the middle of the field of the blue flowers you oh so liked the tales of, he likes to think back about your smile and about how you ran when you still could.

The way you act… it was as if… the goddess herself reincarnated inside of you.
His heart couldn’t help but squeeze at the sight of you. The way you smiled so warmly at him… how your soft gentle hugs gave him warmth and comfort. Your love and appreciation for all living things… this nostalgic feeling drove him to the edge.
His longing for Guizhong only grew with every century that passed. Yet he still managed to live and get it together despite his loss. But now that you’re here with him… he didn’t know if he could take it. He couldn’t lose another… he wanted to be with you even for a little bit longer.
His warm hands held yours, his eyes didn’t want to let you out of his sight. You were so fragile, so innocent yet strong at the same time. Everything about you brought him sense of peace.
“Do you like Glaze lilies, Zhongli?” You asked with a smile on your face. The warm sunset hits your skin with a warm glow as the wind brushed past the two of you. “You seem to be fond of them”

Zhongli hums, looking back at the glaze lilies that danced with the wind. “I do” his warm amber eyes stared back at you.

It was just you and Zhongli, just you together and just being surrounded by the beautiful sight of glaze lilies, accompanied by the shining sun that would soon set. What a beautiful thing to experience, just you two alone and together and just be surrounded by such things.
The silence between with each other was peaceful and that enough was right. Taking hold of Zhongli's hand, in which he gladly return with a gentle squeeze, giving him a confused look wondering what's the matter in which you only responded with a cheeky grin as you dragged him by hand and sprint through across to the sea of glaze lilies.
"W-wait, dear-"
Poor man was surprised by the actions but didn't dare to stop you from this running, just seeing you be a bundle of joy swelled his heart with warmth and soon finding himself attracted with joy, a large smile beaming up to his face, a side of himself where only he would show to you.
"?"
He lets out a hum as he realized that you had stopped running, your hand still holding his own and tight as ever as you two find yourselves at the edge of the cliff. "Let's sit down" you gestured him to follow as you sat down on the ground with ease, him following your actions, as the two of you sat down at the edge of the cliffs, such a romantic sight don't you think?
Once again, silence reaches the two of you, comfortable silence that would ease both of your hearts and mind as you two watches the sunset. Though suddenly as ever, Zhongli suddenly leans into your face, giving you a gentle kiss full in the lips in which you gladly return with a hum. This moment precious between you and Zhongli as he pulls away, eyes filled with warmth and adoration for you and only you, as he spoke.

You and Zhongli were enjoying yourselves running in the beautiful field of glaze lilies you had dreamt about about without a care in the world, even with your lost sibling that you still have not found, even after traveling the 7 nations across teyvat.
In the end, you decided to take a rest after years of searching with your beloved zhongli.
You didn't notice that he was looking at you, admiring your eyes quietly while you two kept your hands intertwined with one another.
You looked stunning to Zhongli as the wind flowed through your hair with the sunlight shining on your already glowing face.
You stop for a quick break, smiling. The both of you laughed with each other for who knows what, but as long as you're both happy, everything was great in that moment.
"I wish I had eyes like yours," you mumbled quietly.
"I think I should be saying that." Zhongli chuckled even if the both of you had the same amber eyes.
You ran for quite a while and ended up falling asleep on Zhongli's lap resting under a tree, feeling exhausted but glad you went with him.
"Thank you, traveler, for being with me."
Zhongli loved you, but he knew that you couldn't stay for long as mortals don't live forever.

Your hands trailed along the grass as you gazed out along the horizon. The sun was setting, casting Liyue in a golden glow. The field you laid upon was dotted with fragrant glaze lilies. You'd always admired the flowers, ever since Zhongli introduced to them all so long ago. You cherished that memory of him. Picking glaze lilies with the God of Contracts.. Nobody would believe you.
As you were lost in thought, you didn't notice the shadow of a tall figure coming behind you. It wasn't until he spoke that you realized. "Admiring the sun, dear? Would you mind if I joined you?" Zhongli asked.
Surprised, you turned from your spot on the ground to look up at him. "Zhongli," you greeted him with a smile, "Of course not, sit down." The man thanked you with a nod and lowered himself onto the ground with you. A soft breeze decided to kiss the hill you two sat on, ruffling the glaze lilies that surrounded you. "The breeze is quite lovely," you commented, your hands playing with the grass.
"That it is," Zhongli murmured in his velvety voice. Carefully, he plucked a bloomed lily from the ground, cradling it in his gloved hand. "Look, Traveler," he gestured to the flower he held, "a beautiful flower for an equally beautiful person." He smiled softly as he tucked the glaze lily into your hair.
"Thank you, Zhongli," you chuckled, a pink tint setting onto your cheeks. After the man had fastened the flower into your hair, your free hand slid into his.

pov: you’re with your loved one, (out of family perimeters) dancing within a field of their favorite flowers. the bright moon glitters apon your faces while the breeze gently flows. the flowers smell fragrant as you both giggle and talk about youre future together. you’ll have fun, make a family, be together forever. then, the world stops. they fade. the flowers dull and the moon no longer glitters. their last words repeat again:
“find me where the sea pours into the stars.”
you feel droplets travel down your face and smile, for them. you held the blade ever so lightly while it danced across you’re slim body. crimson pools under you and dyes the flowers. you’re not sad though. you’re more...happy. why? because crimson was their favorite color.

You pick up a glaze lily, twirling it with your thumb and index. Zhongli, with a smile, walks over to you. The sunset complimenting his brown hair and orange-ish tips, he looked brighter than ever. "Haha, what's the special occasion?" you question.
"I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, Traveler," he replies cheekily. You can't help but notice the happy mood he's in. He takes your hand and places it on his heart. There was no one else this close to Zhongliー close enough to hear his heart beat. Why was it thumping so fast?
"You know.. Traveler, there's two things Archons and humans share in common.." he bent down and hovered his hand over the glaze lilies, watching them follow the wind created by his slight movements. "One, is our appearance. We appear like everyone else, human.. like you," he continued. What's the second thing? Zhongli walks off slowly in the sunset, you trail behind him.
"Our emotions. We can't control how we feel; when we feel anger or distress. Or.. when we feel affection and things that tickle our heart," he looks off into the sky. "Love," he chuckled, as if he'd thought of the emotion as a joke. His eyes told you everything, he'd fallen in love with you. You never thought you'd see such an alluring image from such a serious person like Zhongli.
He pulls you in closer, your eyes locked and it felt like your hearts were in sync. What a beautiful moment you two shared.. yet, something felt strange. The way he looked at you, it was different. Your two lips met. You pushed Zhongli away, quickly looking down to hide your flushed face. He snickered, cupping your chin gently as he admired your facial features closely. You knew exactly what he was thinking.
"Zhongli.."
"Hmm?" he responded ever so effortlessly.
"When you look at me, do you see me?" you ask. "Why of c-"
Before he could finish his sentence, you quickly snapped back and attacked him with another inquiry, "or is it Guizhong?"
Zhongli looked flustered and was taken aback by the sudden question. His eyes panicked, looking everywhere but your face.. He was ashamed. He thought he had forgotten his past lover, the God of Dust but instead he had found a replacement. You weren't Guizhong, not even close. Simply a rebound for his open wound, a replica of what once was his source of happiness; of warmth.
"Who was it that you just kissed? Was it me or Guizhong?" He remained silent. "Answer me, Zhongli! Answer me honestly!"
"I.." he stammered, it seemed like he couldn't speak out the words he thought. It was as if he was too ashamed to even voice his string of thought.
"Oh god. You love me right? You said so yourself!" you cried out. "Or do you love how much I resemble Guizhong, huh? Do you love my kind eyes and cheerful smile? Do you love my gentleness and kindness? All of which resembles her!"
Not a single word escaped Zhongli's mouth. "Of course.." you sighed.
I forgot to mention that it's not canonically mentioned that Guizhong and Zhongli were past lovers! This is simply just a POV. Don't take things to heart
The sound of your voice was like music to the Geo God's ears. You, Guizhong, and him were an unbreakable trio. Guizhong the brains, Morax the brawns, and you were the heart and soul.
You would help Guizhong in her inventions, some of them failed, some of them succeeded.
You three would run through the Glaze Lily field, laughing. Guizhong would giggle as Morax would smile when you trip on a rock and fall face first on the grassy fields. It was all peace and fun.
Sadly, you were once reminded that there was an ongoing war. You and Morax lost a dear friend. Guizhong.
The plains were painted red as a ruby, spears and swords stabbed the ground. The Glaze Lilies were withering.
Morax held Guizhong in his arms. As she muttered her final words, her body disintegrated into dust, and the wind carried her remains away.
This scarred both of you. Your relationship with the God was worsening. You would get into arguments often. Then you two finally cut off all contact. You fled to Monstadt, and lived under a different alias.
When you heard the Rite of Descension incident, you quickly travelled to Liyue once more.
There, you bumped into a blonde with a floating thing as their companion. You then offered them your help them to solve the murder, and they accepted the offer.
You and your friends met a ginger haired man, which was rich with Mora. He introduced you to Zhongli, a consultant in the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. You didn't think much of it, until you saw him.
He looked...familiar.
You stared at him throughout the whole conversation, in which he noticed and smiled at you.
You know that smile anywhere.
But.. you didn't know who it was. Was it Guizhong's? You were thinking too much that when you came back to your senses, you were alone with Childe. He told you where they went and you excused yourself from the table.
Fast forward a little bit, You found out Zhongli was Morax. That's where it finally clicked. That was Morax's smile.
You didn't know how to break it to him, so you asked him to meet you at Guilili Plains in the form of a note.
"What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?" Zhongli asked.
The sky was filled with stars as the moon shone bright.
"Let's run in the fields, like we used to do."
"Excuse me?"
"You know what I said."
A sudden wave of realization hit him.
"Are you..?"
"I am." You said.
The both of you were silent, but the crickets weren't.
Zhongli then smiled and his tears reflected the moonlight, which made it clear he was crying. He started walking, faster and faster until he was running.
Your eyes lit up as you also started running. Just like the good old times.
Suddenly, you felt your foot hit a rock, and you start waving your hands and wobbling. Just as you were about to fall down, you feel someone catch you.
"Be careful." Zhongli said.
He helps you back up and you stare at the moon.
The Glaze Lilies relished in the moonlight and the wind blew in your ears.
"I miss her." You said. He put a hand on your shoulder.
"Me too."

It was one of your favorite flowers. As Zhongli held your hand, he went to a rock for you guys to sit down and watch the sunset. “would you like to go on another date sometimes” as the Archon said while looking deep into you’re eyes while admiring it, “ Of course, after all being with you makes me feel special”. your pov:
The Archon then looked back at the view admiring the beauty of it… and yes, being with him makes me feel special. He is something i really appreciate especially having him by my side. I never really thought loosing him, i don’t know how i’d feel loosing him after all.
Third person pov:
“hey, i really love you… you wont leave right?” as he asked while admiring the view. “No, why would i leave you. After all i don’t think i’d be able to live without you, things would be so…” you said not finishing it “Things would be so what?” He then asked. You didn’t really know what to say, you just looked at him and looked back at the view “so… bland ig, i mean there are still a lot people out there thats here for me but your just… different” You said.
He just looked at you and smiled, as he then proceeds to sit closer to you. You just looked at him and smiled, after he then kissed your cheek softly. You reminded him of Guizhong but you didn’t really think about it much.
After some minutes of small talking he took a dried glaze lilly “Happy Birthday. This is a dried glaze lily that came into bloom on the day of your birth. Long ago, the people of Liyue would say that this flower blooms bearing the weight of the beautiful memories and prayers of the land. I believe this to have been applied on the day you were born as well.”
You were really happy, plus you didn’t really know anything about glaze lillys “Thank you… Zhongli, this means a lot to me” you smiled :)

There you sat, in front of the tomb of your beloved friend, the glaze lilies in full bloom. A singular tree grew from the ground, the flat terrain around it seemingly blending into the background.
Tears streamed down your face, never once did you think you'd be without her. You sat on your knees, your face buried in your hands as you sulked over your loss. The inseparable trio now separated, for good.
"Morax I- I'm so sorry!"
The words slipped out without your command, the man behind you gently rubbing your back. It was you who he had trusted to protect her, it was you who thought you could protect her. But the one day you decided to leave to check on your own small civilization, she was assassinated. You blamed yourself for everything, even if it wasn't in your control. Hundreds of years of friendship, wasted, just because you left her for one dreaded day. What even happened? Everything was so quick that you couldn't register, one moment you were leaving, and the next you were standing over her dead body. You could see the god who killed her in spite, so why didn't you seek revenge yourself? Why did you have to ask Morax, why did you have be so weak?
Pessimistic questions swarmed your mind, making you unable to stop crying. He kept telling you it wasn't your fault, but then why was he also crying? Why was he consoling you when he should be blaming you? But you knew he wouldn't, he was way too humble for his own good. The brawn wielding god he once was disappeared over time, he was now so caring and appreciative of everything around him. Perhaps it was the influence of Guizhong, but what could he do if she wasn't here anymore? What could you do if she wasn't here anymore? Neither of you had imagined what it would be like if one of you ever went missing. I mean, you were all immortal for gods sake, you'd live forever, right?
But alas, the dreaded archon war had torn all your dreams down, the big city of had once dreamed of building was now merely a memory left in dust.
"Y-Y/N you know it's not your fault, I wouldn't have been able to do anything either"
He spoke the best the could, his voice breaking every now and then as he, too, had tears flowing out of his eyes uncontrollably.
The wind blew relentlessly, perhaps the far off anemo archon, too, was experiencing hardships of their own. You had no clue, what you did know was that the archon war was over, your dear friend taking the last spot in amongst the seven. The element of geo, was now his to call his own. But he would never, he couldn't take the title all for himself. Even if you weren't geo wielding or even a proper god, he felt as if it belonged to you as well. But titles are just titles, both of you knew this, friendship among the three of you was much more greater in your hearts than a mere title.
But now only two remained, for how much longer though? Will another of you die off? Will you one of you leave the other to suffer for eternity? You weren't sure at all, only fate could tell. But you were glad for one thing at least, that the war hadn't stolen both the people dearest to you. A loss is a loss, but if it had been both of them, you didn't know what you would do. What, would you go asking other gods to put you out of your misery? They probably would without hesitation, still harnessing the jealousy from loosing their chances at becoming one of the seven.
"But it is! You- you left me to protect her.. and I couldn't"
Your voice was abrupt at first, dying down as you realized the weight of your own words. The atmosphere seemed to be even gloomier, everything just seemed so wrong. You wanted it to go back to how it was before, before that damn war.
"How about we go somewhere else, staying here any longer will only discourage us.."
His voice was weak, but so was your whenever you spoke. Just days ago you three were talking happily, the war raged on but you were safe together. Strength in numbers, right?
"Alright"
You kept your head down low, your cheeks stained with freshly cried tears, his were too. Where could you go? Where did he have in mind?
"..Just follow me, that's all"
It was a bit odd coming from him, usually he'd be direct and straight to the point. But you didn't doubt him, so you agreed without hesitation. Both of you trusted eachother full heartedly.
The journey from the mountains to flat land took awhile, but it was all worth it. Even if you had to leave her grave at Mt. Aozang, you were glad he brought you somewhere more cheerful.
Had Guili Plains always been this beautiful? Or perhaps it was because the sun had set and the moon's light shone brightly; catching onto every petal and stem of the lilies littered across the ground. Sure there was a lot of them on the mountains, especially near her grave where you had planted them, but those were nowhere near this. The beauty of the field mesmerized you, yet the abandoned villages on the side gave you slight guilt. But that was for later, right now you could bask in the moonlight with a god who you held very dear.
The god before you seemed to be lost in thought too, his golden-brown locks seemed so beautiful where you stood. His rich eyes swirled in golden tints, practically glowing with the moon's borrowed light.
"...I'm glad"
You began, unsure of what you were going to say. Perhaps you should follow the flow and let your thoughts spill out into the open, for him to hear and for you to stop on.
"..For you bringing me here, I hadn't known it could be this beautiful. If I'm being honest, this reminds me of her.. in a good way"
Your words were heart filled, he knew that, and he was glad that they were. A soft smile grazed his lips, he was happy that he was able to bring some sort of relief to his friend, and himself too, in a way. Even if he had visited this place a lot before, it seemed more beautiful with you by his side. That was one thing he could agree on with you.
"Then I'm glad you feel that way, I do believe we both needed a break from everything"
The truth, that's all he spoke. And you knew that. You bent down to the ground, admiring the lilies.
"These truly are beautiful, no wonder she held them dear to her. How fragile they are, too, almost like those humans. But it seems as the humans too, are relentless in their own way"
You could only hear a hum in agreement, you and he both knew the nature of the humans. Yet you both didn't know how she had cared for them, such odd creatures they were. Trampling each other for benefit of their own, you were sure they did this after death too. Greed overwhelmed the poor folk, but it did so with the gods too. The human and inhuman both had their own ways of spreading pain amongst each other, whether it be on purpose or not.
You gripped the stem of a singular glaze lily, plucking it out of the ground easily. It's colour seemed to fade slightly the minute you did that, maybe it needed song? But you didn't sing, and the only song you did know was the one she would hum everyday. Her lullaby as soft as ever as she tried to calm the pain of the humans she loved oh so much, down below. But that'd be too sorrowful to hum right now, and you didn't exactly want to ruin the mood. So, you decided against it.
"Here, bend down a little"
He crouched down somewhat, knowing what you were about to do, yet he welcomed it gratefully.
You raised yourself up slightly, grabbing a hold of his shoulder to lower him even more. You cupped his cheek, getting a good look at him for the first time in a long time. His eyes were as golden as ever, the rich colour laid across his iris effortlessly. You just now realized how beautiful they were, hundreds of years you had known him and just now you came to realize. His sharp nose looked even sharper up close, if that was possible. And last of all, his soft lips. They looked like they were in anticipation of something, something that neither of you would mind. But maybe it wasn't the right time for that.
"You know, you are quite handsome from up close"
Your closeness made it easy for you to see the tint of red on his cheeks, his eyes breaking away for a second; only to return with even more anticipation. But it was rather a gaze that admired you, a gaze that reminded you of how close the two of you were. Figuratively and literally. But it was evident neither of you were going to back away.
Your mind finally remembered your previous intentions, to place the glaze lily in his hair, just like Guizhong used to. In fact, she'd place a glaze lily in whoever's hair she saw fit. She always seemed to have an endless supply of them, that will definitely be a memory of her that you'll miss.
Your hand wondered over to the side of his face again, brushing the hair aside ever so slightly to make room to the flower. I was thinking about writing a zhongli oneshot anyway, this gave me a lot of ideas lmao
You placed it in his hair, the flower tilting and flopping over as you did so, but you didn't mind; and neither did he. It was a memory of how she had always done it, not the same but close enough. Her hands always seemed to have a magic touch to them, a touch that none of you would ever be able to perfect. Not that you wanted to, it was hers and hers alone.
"Ah, you always were such a tease, Y/N"
As those words escaped his lips, it reminded you of your actions and what you had just said before. A red tint also settling on your face as you realized. A small laugh leaving your throat as you did so.
"I guess I still am"
Your words were happier then when you were thinking about Guizhong. It seemed as if the dark cloud you were stuck in before was lifting itself slowly as you basked in the moonlight with your dearest.
"Then how about we finish what you decided to start?"
Now the red on both of your cheeks grew as you realized what he was suggesting. His words were quiet as he, too, was embarrassed at asking such a thing.
His hands found their way to your cheek, cupping it gently. You leaned into his hand, your eyes half lidded as you enjoyed the new warmth that met your face.
"May I?"
Your eyes opened, filling with hopeful desire, you nodded. Wanting it as much as he did.
His hand lowered itself to under your chin, raising your head as he leaned closer. A small smile playing on his features as your lips met. His lips were soft; as you thought they were, yet they held a certain roughness that seemed so welcoming. In all honesty, this moment felt like magic.
His lips gently pressed on yours, softly and so delicately. It made you forget about the previous events as you just lolled in the moment. Your body feeling relaxed yet agitated with happiness at the same time. His hands were gentle with you as well, as if you'd break if he was a little too rough. They made their way to your cheek once more, leaving your chin to fully embrace you.
You never wanted this to end, this moment would be engraved into your memory forever more.
Breaking away mere inches from your face, he smiled; forehead against yours. Together you were right now, and together you were going to be in the future. That was both of your hopes, this new found happiness would surely stick with the both of you.

You and Zhongli were outside, late at night with the stars twinkling above, playing their own quiet lullaby that only children would be able to hear at this time. Zhongli had asked you to come here, you told him you didn't know where this place was but he just simply turned around and smiled at you before saying
"You'll find it eventually, it only allows who it wants to see it"
And walking away, leaving you in the dust with confusion written all over your face.
It's been 1 or 2 hours since you've went outside Liyue's gates to look for this fabled field of just gentle white and blue glaze lillies and your dearest friend.
As much as it is also embarrassing to say, you've caught feelings for him over the time you've spent together. Little did you know that he did as well.
As you near a great mountain out in the wild, far far away from the city, you admire the nature surrounding it before something starting to bloom in the night catches your eyes. Well, more like thousands.
As you finally turn around to do a double check of what you just saw, your eyes widen and seemingly glitter and glisten from the stars above and the amazing sight you never thought you would see.
It was amazing... The ever so bountiful field of glaze lillies that were only ever mere fables from Zhongli. It was real. And you ready loved it with your entire being and soul.
As you began to walk over, seemingly mesmerised and compelled to go over for whatever reason, the sight of another thing clearly standing out in this field in the distance surprises you. A head of dark black fading into a beautiful orange , seemingly those two colours on him stood out on him, especially the vision hanging behind him and his pair of amber-coloured eyes that you'd stare into for as long as you could possible.
It seems magical, really.
As soon as you step a single foot into the field of blooming glaze lillies, he turns around his head to look at you. As if he was told by someone else, strange.
"Ah, Y/N. You're finally here" Zhongli says calmly with a small smile as he walks up to you as you take your time going over to him, careful about where you would step, fearing about crushing such beautiful and somewhat rare flowers which have seemed to appear out of nowhere behind you.
"Zhongli, hello! I-I'm sorry if I made you wait too long, I've never seen such a beautiful place before" you stutter a bit while saying that, and end up blushing even just the tiniest bit too much for the man in front if you to see clearly.
He smiles fondly before taking your hand and walking through the field of fully bloomed glaze lillies and saying, "It is quite alright, I'll wait as long as possible for you. Now please, follow me"
As you walk alongside him, hand in hand in this amazing night in this glaze lily field that you could've only dreamed of doing before, you sworn you could have heard something. And you also feel like someone else could be here, smiling, watching you two in spirit, but oh well. Time to enjoy your time with this amazing person you've loved only for so long.

You and zhongli were sitting above a field that was grazed by lilies. A few streaks of golden sunlight were cast upon you two. The lillies bloomed around you. You giggled as you put the last lily in zhongli's hair that were now in a braid. "Aaaaanddd.... Done!" You exclaimed like a kid, you put the braid over his shoulder so he could see the work you've done.
"Aaannd? What do you think of it!"
Zhongli looked at it and smiled "it's wonderful Y/n! I must say you are very good at it"
"Thank you! I had a lot of practice when aether was around" saying his name made you feel a bit sad, you have been here for god knows how long and you miss him.
"Y/n? Are you alright?"
".... yes... sorry I was just thinking about him, I wonder was he is doing right now..." You leaned back as your arms supported your weight while you gazed up at the sky.
Zhongli was scared and pained deep down that you would leave him when you have found him to your own world leaving him alone for the next decades. He really enjoyed your company and he didn't want to let you go but seeing you sad like this pained him more than you can imagine.
Zhongli's eyes sadden a bit. Zhongli never liked seeing you sad. Zhongli grabbed one of the bloomed lilies around you. "I'm sure he is still thinking of you, we will find him I promise" he pulled out the stem and puts it in your hair.
"Heh... thanks zhongli" you smiled. It was quiet after that. The silence wasn't an akweird one but a comforting one. "Heh... I remembered playing tag with aether when we were little."
"Tag..?"
"Yeah, don't you know what it is?" zhongli shook his head slightly from left to right.
"Come one I'll show you." You stood up as you smiled down at him as you held out a hand.
"Is this 'tag' dangerous?" Zhongli asked as he got up.
"No, not at all" you giggled. You started explaining it.
"So, do you have any questions?"
"Is this what humans do for fun?"
"Yes this is what we do for fun." You giggled. "Tag! Your it!"
You giggled as you ran away from zhongli. Zhongli stated running after you catching up quickly to you. Now he was running right behind you.
'Shiet! I forgot this man had legs for days so ofc he can run fast with his beautiful long legs' you thought.
Before zhongli could touch you you tripped over your own feet causing zhongli to trip to. You both rolled down the little hill together. You both stopped when you two reached the end of the hill. You were now on top of zhongli. You laughed hard causing zhongli to smile at you.
He pulled a strand of your hair behind your ear, this caused your laughter to die down.
"Thanks for cheering me up zhongli!" You smiled.
"You're welcome my lilly ♡"
