Carmel Surfabout 2024

The 41st Annual Carmel Surfabout was described as being “Like one big group hug.” A multi-generational tradition in the local Central California surfing community, The Carmel Surfabout brings together the various surfing tribes throughout the Monterey Bay for friendly yet intense competition. With serious local surfing talent throughout the age divisions from old to young, the competition stands as the who’s who of the community and who gets to carry the bragging rights of being the best surfer in their age class. Follow along with the competitive points race for ‘Overall Waterman,’ the award given to the competitor who wins the most points by placing the highest throughout the various divisions. From a brutal long-distance paddle race to pushing little kids into waves and huge airs in the shortboard division to nose riding a longboard, the Surfabout has it all. Come check out a full feature documentary of the funnest weekend and biggest party at the beach of the year, the 2024, 41st Annual Carmel Surfabout. The secret is out about the most awesome surfing competition around and funnest weekend of the year! Although the competition itself is limited to Monterey County residents or past participants, everyone is more than welcome and invited to come enjoy the beach, the festivities and the good vibes!
