      Or Pleiades like diamonds in a black background. I enjoy M42 from Orion. What a Nebulae! Yes they are expensive. Analyzing the cost, the 3 glass blanks for the objective, I bet take a good percentage from it. I remember Roland from Astrophysics stating that he was having trouble outsourcing large blanks of optical quality glass at a reasonable price for his telescopes. Perhaps this is why he discontinued all 6 inch APO production and larger; (The AP155, AP160, AP175, AP180, etc.) He now concentrates in smaller size telescopes; 90mm to 130mm.

      Качественная оптика всегда стоила огромных денег.
      И вы ошибаетесь, все сильно подешевело, за эти годы, очень сильно. Если телескопы сравнивать их по оптическому качеству.

    • @edgarslifejourneyvlog
      @edgarslifejourneyvlog  Před 2 měsíci

      @TMichman , The TOA-150 Takahashi optical tube from this video, was $12000 USA in 2015 or so, it now is currently $15070 USA + Tax! And will continue to go up as costs to manufacturer increase, inflation etc. This is a fact. This price for an optical tube is already more than 1/2 of a minimum wage yearly salary here in Canada, or 1/3 of the average yearly salary in Canada. That is a lot for a bare optical tube, with no mount, no accessories, nor tripod! Hard to compare prices of triplet APO refractors to the prices from the good old days, since there were none of these instruments in existence. APO triplets is a relatively new thing that gained momentum starting from the 80s, despite they were developed in 1763. In the 1950s and 1960s, the only telescope designs that were affordable to the masses were the Newtonian reflector types, and I say affordable because people could polish their own mirrors, unlike refractors which is a much more difficult task, and not popular among amateur astronomers. But you are right that high quality optics will always be very expensive, such as LZOS, Zeiss, etc.

I use two pop filters and speak 6 inches away from it. I pre record videos, so maybe in the next videos the change will reflect, but not sure. The new videos are starting from this last one posted about Prime 1 Studio Transformers. What puzzles me is that before publishing I review each video playing them on my IPad Pro 12.9 inch and my Mac Book Pro with speakers from my 27 inch Apple Display and they sound fine. • @zara8289
      @zara8289 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@edgarslifejourneyvlog I did audio production for a time, it sounds like it's clipping. If you have a decent mic then your audio levels are too hot. That coupled with what sounds like a low end filter (i.e. filtering out all the low frequencies) makes it really tinny. Basiclly it's nothing but high end frequencies maxed out (i.e. clipping) which is really ear assaulting.
      You're better off recording at lower levels and using something like a compressor filter to bring them up as opposed to overdriving and creating all that clipping feedback.
      A pop-filter definitely won't fix what I hear there, it's not from that. It's also possible that your mic is bad. That being said from what I hear it sounds like a classic case of the mic input being cranked up way too much and the audio clipping. In your recording software you don't want the meter maxing out to the top; you want it hitting just below 0db, like -3db max for example.
      Either way something is going sideways there, even with the volume down those high end frequencies come through as an assualt and it's too much to take.

      I know what you mean and where you are coming from. It’s kind of the same thing when it comes to doing astrophotography. Why do many spend thousands of dollars to take a picture of a celestial object when space telescopes can do so much better? Well it comes down to the personal satisfaction of “I managed to take a good picture of that object with my gear”, the experience, and some consider it fun. Same goes for doing visual astronomy. You are doing it live and is very satisfying in my humble opinion. I love science in general, in particular astronomy and I will never skimp on the gear within my means. If I could, I would buy the 21 inch TMB (APM) APO refractor. Too bad one needs about 5-7 million dollars for the optical tube, mount and observatory that would go along, as I doubt it would qualify as field portable scope. 😂👍 In the end I do respect your opinion and each one of us has to make up their own mind when it comes to how much we spend and in what we spend.
