They made a Trollstav (which is swedish for wand) that summons trolls... I can't, I just can't, it's too on the nose and hilarious XD
I summon them inside the fortress before opening them, I don't need to fight anyone, i love the trolls!
You know you can summon up to 2 trolls.

I love using that staff in the swamps. It’s just so much fun
It seems to me that there's quite a difference between the standard troll summon and the one with the club. Much like the regular trolls, one with a tree in it's hand seems SIGNIFICANTLY more effective. This was an amusing one, whereas the trollstav doesn't seem to be the 'best' new stave it certainly looks like the most fun!
I always figured they'd do the same damage and everything! The only difference is aesthetics. But maybe my impression was wrong! Are the log trolls really that much better?
@@WafflesGamesProbably they have more reach and a wider sweep attack so they hit more stuff with their swings for sure, dunno about damage per hit though. It's not without precedent if you think about it, the dead raiser has 2 different possibilities too with the sword or bow randomly selected for every summon.
I summoned a troll with the Trollstav on a fire serpent in some shallow water and the serpent didn't even attack it. They are also helpful for keeping ashlands critters busy while you farm wood and grausten.
Great and enjoyable video Waffles, as usual. Cheers and I'm even more excited to get my Trollstav. I don't think it was meant to just be a major OP things that just destroys everything in one hit but rather a wonderful addition to have less aggro and mobs concentrating on you. And even then it STILL seems to be op. I don't think I'll ever leave home without it tbh it's too handy. With other staves or weapons in addition it's such a fun and welcome addition to the mage arsenal.

Fun video. How much blood skill did you have for this video? I assume the troll do more damage the more blood skill you have, line the summoned skeletons.
Im thinking that's probably true. It was either 50 or 55. I can't remember.
You can mine those huge planes stones with just one troll summon.
With my testing you can mine :
Stone, copper (would recommend), tin, and iron (from muddy scrap piles)
And the troll itself can smash silver but not the meteor.
More testing but it doesn't do anything to a Jotun skull or soft tissue, gotta check Black marble too
What's the crafting recipe for this? I might have missed it in the video but couldn't find it anywhere
I think of you turn on the flying mode you can trick the enemies into ognoring you as the game doesn't treat your position floating in the air as a spot they can path to amd fight you.
Use this to avoid having the mobs aggro to you instead of the troll

You should have summoned the troll at the base of the towers. Also, Stone golem.
First none ashlands use for me too. It really is the best 😂

whats the point of it being strong against weaker enemies? by the time u get it, the plains biome is like meadows!
Well for one, it's fun. Also you may wanna return to previous biomes and gather resources!

I know this was just you having fun, but seriously!? Go in ghost mode. I wanted to see how much damage the elder did to it!
Oooo ghost mode would have been smart for the elder!
Even if he went in ghost mode, nothing would happen. There's a bug right now where the trolls do not draw aggro from the bosses. It's actually the cheese strat against the Ashlands boss.
