Nobody wants to use hall effects. They wanna sell replacement modules.
Yes you get the point
But Gulikit is going to make hall effect joystick for Dualsense Edge
@@Dracconus
Lol too late
My Dualsense Edge arrived
Now I'm just wait for Hall effect joystick modules if my joystick drift
@@Dracconus hope with the back button too
Hall effects are trash, way higher input delay, the gulikit has like 20 ms delay
@Chummy Boy rofl, you are so wrong. It is adorable.
they just need to offer replacement modules for 20-30 bucks for the thumb stick/buttons/dpad then they’d be a really good competitor for the dev since stick drift is a quick replacement to fix.
There are some on the market now for $27.99
That's way too much money. You shouldn't be asking too pay that much as a consumer. It should be 10$ tops
@@ultra_cosmic maybe but 20 dollars is what sony charges for modules I can’t imagine them charging less for replacing more parts maybe that’s not right but it is a specialty “premium” item. I don’t think the number of people that would want replacement parts is great enough for them to sell at a lower price point.
@@Klust413where?
@@slothman4631 Honestly, I can't remember where I found them 4 months ago, but I believe I found some or a board to swap into the lil blocks with minimal work.
I think Amazon?
I appreciate you making this point. I’ve been looking all over for this exact info, including manufacturer’s site. You’re the first person I’ve seen to review this controller AND mention this fact.
Good point. There is $60 controller with hall effect.
Granted the nice thing is this takes one second to replace
What controller is that?
What controller
8bitdo has them for 40, and with back paddles
I got my controller today, and I hope that PDP soon releases some hall effect modules
I want one bad but read that you can’t turn the ps5 on wirelessly. I don’t want to have to press the power button. I emailed the company 4 days ago and no one got back with me.
I doubt any CONSOLE company is ever going to release Hall effect modules on their controllers, the point is to make money they want you to buy replacement modules when you get stick drift
You do know the ps5 turns on automatically when you put your TV does it for me don't have to worry about turning it on with the controller
That’s why they have an option for you to set up and replace or re-calibrate your controller for stick drift. That’s probably why they didn’t put Hall effect.
how?
@@bernybuttsman5795 go into the app and yoy can recalibrate everything
Hall effect modules are sold by another company and are compatible with the victrix pro bfg
what are they called?
I just bought some! I don't think I will ever buy another non modular controller. So nice being able to just replace 1 part instead of throwing it away and buying a new 200 dollar controller.
@YourSixStudios I can't decide ouch controller to get but you helped me narrow it down! 👍 👌
Hall effect modules are on the way, $40 for a two pack.
when? cus im thinking ab buying it but the only thing stopping me is if it breaks they don’t have any replacements for it.
Thank you!!!!! For 200.00 they could of put hall effect sensors in.
Fighting game player here, something else that I’m not a fan of is the trigger lock feels faulty. If you lock it, it slowly slides back to being loose with use. I use my left trigger as a dash macro and a button I use to plink during very important combos. I play a rather high execution character so it’s pretty frustrating to either readjust it or try to get used to its new feel on the fly.
Other than that? Amazing modular controller. I can’t speak for the analog issue since I bought it for fighting games and I never use them.
Big thing for me would be the d-pad and fightpad buttons. I would be using it for street fighter.
I saw the thumbnail and thought that was a trackball insert. I was sorely disappointed to find it was, in fact, not a trackball.
I would imagine it could easily be an upgrade they can offer for now and on future iterations of the controller they can add as standard.
hall effect sensors are in less than 10% of controllers on the market..so while yes, it is kinda dissapointing..its also not even close to a deal breaker for me. been playing without them for years and couldnt even tell you if a controller did havem aside from the drift issue not being an issue.
of course im all for better quality sticks, so hopefully hall effects will be more standardized in controllers in the future now that itrseems they are gettin trendy
this guy gets it lol
Aiming on COD feels like shit with this controller for whatever reason. Returning and getting the Edge
At this rate the only way to get Hall effects is to purchase and learn how to attach them to a controller board yourself.
You can actually order or you will be able to order Halifax joist modules to pop in there
You can get Halifax sensors for this controller just only in u. S us here in Canada unavailable. Unless I go to a different manufacture. At that point you're building it from the ground up.
I'm loving my *scuf ps5 reflex* controller when I'm not waiting a month for it to come back after stick drift repairs lol
Trying to send my in now. My right stick is spinning me in circles and flicking right/left without touching it. 3.5 months old, had over ten in past and never had to send them in
@@tylermiller214I think it’s an issue with the ps5 versions. I just got my scuf, hope it lasts…
My negative about the controller its the triggers. They have this curve to them that raises the the button and i always accidentally hit it. Also the locking mechanisms for the triggers, wasnt thought out. I have big hands and i stay accidentally locking the triggers. To the short press.
They could easily sell the Hall effects. Considering you just replace the sticks.
I am very late to the party, but there is a company making hall effect replacement sticks for this controller now! Both sides and fairly easy to do. I know that there is also a rumour that the makers of the controller are also going to make hall effect replacement modules, so its either wait and see, or crack on with reputable company making them already. Hope this helps... Hint: on amazon and sometimes ebay...
Sweet
It’s not just about stick drift it’s such a better stick in general
Can you flip the right side module so that the joy stick is up top and the PlayStation buttons are upside down? Been trying to find a controller with both analogues up top.
Hey if they supply replacements for that controller with a little modules there it's better than Sony's edge in terms of replacement process
But they also said coming soon. Hall effects in twenty twenty four is what I heard probably 2 3 months ago
I’m actually experiencing drift on my Victrix honestly like a week after use.
It would drift up when I would start a game. I’d flick the analog then the drift would completely stop. Other than that I love the controller.
sounds like a defective joystick. why not rma or get a replacement.
Get a replacement
He’s trolling 😂
I love the pro bfg, it has replaced my xbox elite controller.
They’ve announced Hall effect modules
I strongly agree
And it doesnt have in buil speakers and vibration thingys
I got mine a few months ago and it already has heavy upward drift, but seemingly only when I am pressing buttons
the yellow potentiometers are the worst and cheapest, they are the ones used by Power A
The ability to buy a combo module that is or isn't hall effect would be a better option
If they can be sold seperately then that's a plus
I already have stick drift on mine and I got it a day ago
Fhey prevent stick droft, but do they loosen up after a while ? Therefor introducing drift.. ?!
For me the L and R triggers are too sensitive. Just holding the controller i keep getting inputs on them without hit the triggers. Other than that amazing controller
Is the dpad any good?
Have this controller it’s been great for months. It’s finally happened left stick has major stick drift already.
Thot u could recalibrate it to get rid of stick drift a different guy reviewing it said so anyways
I've returned one of these pads at my local bestbuy already. The R1 AND R2 buttons are non op after the update.
Not sure what's going on but it happened to the new one I got in exchange for the 1st one...When I got to the victrix app it's not showing the module.
Doesnt it have an option to recalibrate and eliminate stick drift?
It is the "goat" the holl effect are on controllers that are probably more or less expensive, with less features, it is litterally better then the official ps5 pro controller they released
cant wait for the PRO BFG release next month for Xbox
Huh, never thought Hall effects would be such a hot button topic for console gamers. FPV drone pilots and model aircraft flyers have been enjoying hall effects for years now.
The only thing I didn’t like about it is that they never sent me my controller after I ordered it back in December
Look yes I agree it would be one of the best controllers if it had it but where is the controler scroll Wheel
Haptics…..need haptics. But I bought one of these today
My right stick, won't drift per say, but my character randomly just looks at the sky sometimes. Idk debating submitting for warranty. Been like 3 months in. Honestly disappointed in what it is overall. BB would been 100$ more for same buttons but with pc switch buttons and triggers
Are all the buttons tactile buttons like scuff or battle beaver?
I’m wondering this to
Only the fightpad is tactile
The problem with the bfg is that it's software bricks the USB dongle and u can't buy a replacement
I hoped for a clicky d-pad
I bought these , how come no one addresses the 6 button fight pad button layout (to low ) and the button input itself (when pressed you really don’t feel it). Those are my 2 gripes
Does anyone know how good this controller on apex is, I wanna pro ps5 controller for I can play more competitive on ps5 and maybe start recording again but I don’t know please help if you have any advice on this controller
And they dint sell individual modules. If youre stuck drifts, you have to buy a whole new controller.
Mines came yesterday in the Amazon locker, but I was at work. Picked it up today and am looking forward to using it.
Well??????????
You a big fan of the paddles? Im not a fan of the controller tbh i think its a very cool controller but the scuffs ive had in the past id say were alot better but its price is abit more
Cool lego set bro
💀
I thought they use magnetic stick sensors?
What is the like scroll thingy for on thenbacl
Can you remap one of the paddles to a D-button? Or just to the common buttons
Is there a way to remove the paddles?
Do any of yall know why my left trigger doesn’t register my inputs all the time?
I’ll wait for Hall effect to buy a new controller lol
Hall effect sticks are like $2 on AliExpress lol. There's a reason why these. Companies don't use it.
I can’t find a single Hall effect ps5 controller nor Xbox controller other than some wired one without the back paddles so this isn’t a surprise to me
nacon came out with their hall effect controller a couple of days ago :) on paper it looks promising
Maybe it’s not an oversight. If it came out first with Hall effects, it would have been $300 most likely. Maybe they get you in the door with the OG and come out with the Hall effects later for $100 if the OG is successful. Just a thought.
Low key got already have stuck drift with my victrix and it’s bad
Got stick drift after only a month or 2. Also controller just freezes for no reason
Mine started drifting on day 1 for some reason
The issue is just 5ms , compared with GAMESIR G7SE Gamesir is super fast 💨
I just got my pro Victrix controller and when I connect it to my pc I can’t use my headset it want let me talk can you help me with that
Only ps5 mode let's audio thru. PC and Xbox mode does not.
Thx, was hypped to see a controller for 180 instead of 240 euros. Not buying this and the edge! Sticking to the regulair controller.
Hall effects can still get drift
Ive had this controller for less than a month and I have stick drift already.....Sucks but its a good controller.
Damn really? Already?
I had the Victrix gambit on Xbox. Would it be the same sticks and stuff? Or is it a whole new tech like different sensors and stuff?
I agree! But is there any controllers that do come with those sticks? Not that I know of lol it’s bullshit obv bc NO ONE wants to make a quality product that will last anymore, bc they would rather higher larger profit margins by selling you 5 elite controllers in 7 years!? Ie: me (but I used Best Buy warranty)😅 they bet on people not taking advantage of a warranty & instead shelling out to buy another bc it’s “more convenient” my oem os5 controller has crazy drift from 6months forward of buying it, as much as I want the ps5 elite I’ll prob go with this controller bc options w/ a 4 button paddle system 👏
8bitdo and Gulikit want a word with you
It's not an oversight I bet that Sony won't allow them to use Hall effect because it will make them look bad
Scuff and other custome pad companies use hall effects. I doubt it matters.
I just got this and I love this more then the ps5 controller
my boyfriend had their other controller. I dont like the triggers.
I still like it better than the Edge. I feel like I wasted my money buying the Edge. Very little premium about it
Compared to what?
@@aaronsmith7143compared the Series Elite. Don't get me wrong it looks nice, but it doesn't add anything special except the changeable thumbsticks. But really that's a ploy to get you to buy shit
His shirt makes me want to take his opinion to heart. Clearly he has impeccable taste.
They're bringing hall effects
I have the Victrix Gambit and can say with confidence that you won’t experience any drift I’ve Heavily used mine since Christmas of 2021 and no drifting
It came out in december dawg why are you lying lol
@@aidenoakes3924 you sir are an idiot🤦🏻♂️ spoken like someone who clearly doesn’t have a point of reference because you clearly don’t own one, I have ALL of my deadzones on 0.00 and no drift, but I suppose you know my life better than I do, bro really tried to lead us astray with his comment everyone, trust me as an ACTUAL OWNER of the product a can actually talk about it, that being said, if you don’t know don’t talk
@@aidenoakes3924 gambit is not the bfg. Gambit was released long ago.
I got drift on my after 6months and repair yet..
I’d still buy it tbh
This controller doesn’t have gyro. Right?
Do they sell the stickmoduls separatly?
Not yet no
Do they make one for xbox
Honestly just get the dual sense
What controller has that anyway
Gulikit King Kong, 8bitdo Ultimate, replacement thumb stick modules by Gulikit for Switch and even ones announced for the new Dualsense Edge first party controller by Sony. They are also featured or available in other handhelds like the steam deck and neo. So to answer your question, more and more controllers and handheld consoles are using them.
No suck thing as avoiding stick drift. All controllers get it. You can spend 10 thousand and next week controller could get it or worse could just break. Be happy
Link plz
It's crazy my vitrix came out the box with stick drift. The same with the dual sense edge also. Crazy.
Nah the bigger issue this has is that it doesn't have rumble. You will always be disappointed if you expect them to put hall effects in the joysticks
It doesn’t have rumble or adaptive triggers because most people in competitive gaming don’t use it or like it because they feel it throws them off their accuracy and it makes the controller, heavier and more battery
@@boneless_Jungle_Ham F the competitive gamers, that isn't really an excuse to cheap out on rumble, the basic ps5 controller has it, and this controller is like $100 more than the base controller
the sticks on those feel weird on fps games, too delayed
Did I understand correctly, the gamepad has no vibration at all?
I would like to know the same thing
For real make a victus proo!!!
Jk that is the pro 😂
Had the controller for under a month and I’m already experiencing stick drift….
There’s a two year warranty it covers everything
@@Kazalim. Until it happens again. Then you get it fixed again.
Then it happens again, you get it fixed again.
Rinse and repeat until the warranty lapses, then you are shit out of luck. For the prices PDP charges, they should have used Hall effect switches. This is just defending bad quality product. 😐
@@inny74 He wasn't defending anything lmfao, he was helping him
Anyone have info on fixing stick drift on this thing? Two months in and it’s already a major problem. Do not buy this controller
They also lack gyro, which is a big issue for shooters (especially at $180).
Almost no one uses gyro even for shooters
Hall effects will bankrupt all controller makers
