Lombardo is fuckin' awesome, this isn't Scaglione, he came in a little while after this for a couple of months, Dave rejoined for the European leg, I know I saw them twice on this tour, 17 years old and it bent my mind. There was nothing like them or to touch them back then, just godly !!!
There was only ever one drummer for slayer, DAVE LOMBARDO! as good as Paul was in slayer the way Dave put beats to their riffs is what makes the slayer sound, everything they recorded without Dave just didn't have that slayer sound.
evilaggression you are the man for putting all these videos up here - amazing quality for 86 - the drums sound incredible especially. Drums @ 3:35 OMFG
The 1 St riff of the song..pure death metal sound..and that song is from haunting the chapel from what...83? 84?? Possesed was on demo tapes.... So death metal was there called anyway you named

This takes me back, and by the way, I'm 90% sure it's Paul Bostaph behind the drum set. There's no way that Dave plays and head bangs like that and John Dette was a left handed drummer...
King and Hanneman were only 22 years old here and they already had great songs under their belt.
and Lombardo 21
Kid’s nowadays have no idea what awesome times they never got to experience at a slayer show!! I’m so glad I grew up in the 80s 🤘🏻
Ok boomee
He’s right. Tell me this doesn’t sound, and look better, harder, and more fun than any slayer show from the latter years of their run.
Chemical warfare may be one of the greatest songs in metal period. Top 5
this is the most excellent slayer song of all times.
it's a masterpiece. one of thrash metals biggest achievements.
God lombardo doing his work
Lombardo is fuckin' awesome, this isn't Scaglione, he came in a little while after this for a couple of months, Dave rejoined for the European leg, I know I saw them twice on this tour, 17 years old and it bent my mind. There was nothing like them or to touch them back then, just godly !!!
They are still godly in 2020 . No one can top this thrash metal band
He joined during the second leg or the reign in pain tour I believe -Lombardo or NO ONE ON DRUMS
Lombardo left after the first leg of the rib tour - Lombardo the best of thrash - fuck you
Gotta respect Jeff hannamen. A true legend. Rock in peace Jeff. Legends are never forgotten. SLAYER!!
I wonder how the bouncers manage to not headbang
Tom's speech before the song is mindblowingly epic.
Look up jonathan kleck
You havent heard much have you
''if you're up or down, no matter where you are......you will always live, in CHEMICAL WARFAAAARRRRRRRREEEEEE!!!!!!!!''...........
There's Metal and Then There is Slayer!!!
There was only ever one drummer for slayer, DAVE LOMBARDO!
as good as Paul was in slayer the way Dave put beats to their riffs is what makes the slayer sound, everything they recorded without Dave just didn't have that slayer sound.
Jon dette
Bostaph has sloppy feet and can’t play it fast like Lombardo
This song sounds so much better like this with the Reign In Blood tuning rather than the Haunting the Chapel tuing.
@Jaypcfh
Nah its 1986. Most likely the Reign in Blood tour. Its Dave. Paul didn't join until 1992.
Excellent version. Amazing how some of these videos have survived and they all have better sound than the audio on War at the Warfield etc
2:03 = epic drum hit
I can always use that song to purify my mind from bad thoughts !!!
If you can't stand the heat stay out of the fucking kitchen 😂 Tom Araya such a bad ass
That s the real shit!!! And raybeez is doing stage security!! Wow!!!
Im so glad there were people back in these days to get footage like this, so fuckin awesome.
Every Train,Ride
evilaggression you are the man for putting all these videos up here - amazing quality for 86 - the drums sound incredible especially.
Drums @ 3:35 OMFG
TRUE SLAYER !!!!
Thankful that I got to see them in a small club in 1990...
The 1 St riff of the song..pure death metal sound..and that song is from haunting the chapel from what...83? 84?? Possesed was on demo tapes.... So death metal was there called anyway you named
Mantas/Death had demo tapes at this time too.
And SADUS too...
ladies and gentlmen ..slaaaaayeeer.
tom on the mic only makes slayer that much more sick
LEGENDARY
Yep!
Wow, I think Slayer played at this gig all my favorite songs! I mean, Chemical Warfare is a killer song, but this clip....that's unbelievable!
I even like Kerry King in this era!! 100% SLAYER
This makes Metallica sound like Poison
Ehhh not that bad but I know what you mean
Wow!!! What a legendary show!
This is what a Thrash Metal show is supposed to be.
Fucking awesome!
Fucking Slayer!!!
Raw as fuck! Can't beat early Slayer, especially as you can hear the guitar solos.
Reminding me of Hanneman shouting, “demons are ready to die”
Mr. evilaggression, u kick ass !!!!! Thank u so much uploading these vids .
1:53 Dave Lombardo was absolutely essential for Slayer; no other drummer has ever been more important to a band, with the possible exception of Bonham
And without Hanneman - RIP IN PEACE
Zed Zep split after Bonzo died - there has been three other guys replace Lombardo in the past
not only but he put the sickness in a higher level :D
SLAYER IS KING, HANNEMAN, LOMBARDO AND ARAYA
Awesome
@OneGuitarDude. Amen to that bro. Fucking legend, love the dude. Hope he can continue with that back issue.
Dive'n of the balcony! Fuk!!
Seen em Live
this was fucking awesome
Holy FUCK.!!! Oh Yeah.
Man, Tom sounds a little like chucky in a way.

dudes this isn't lambardo he left during the reign in blood tour its Tony Scaglione, i'm positive, either way drums sound godly
No...its Lombardo. This is before he left
He replaced Lombardo during the half of the Reign In Pain tour
Some of these crowd would be in their 60's now. Let that sink in 🤣
So what? It’s from the late 80s, of course they are
2:04
@theberzerker81 it was the same tunning but just the quialty..
so badass. my real name is slayton and i was named after them
Wow... kinda weird now seeing Kerry with hair...
Im somewhere in the pit.
@Jaypcfh Dude you so wrong, look for praise of death live in holabnd 85 i think, dave drums and headbangs like hell
Man,if you can´t stand the heat, stay out of the fuckin kitchen

Mr. Sinista Productions, LLC. Thats not scaglione
That was Lombardo. Scaglione few months after this concert
I miss when gigs were recorded on potatoes
I hate pit guards. Always ruining the mood
This is slayer yah shit ?
This takes me back, and by the way, I'm 90% sure it's Paul Bostaph behind the drum set. There's no way that Dave plays and head bangs like that and John Dette was a left handed drummer...
