There are a lot of things we need to bring together in landscape photography to get a really strong photo. Sometimes that is easier, sometimes that is more difficult, depending on the composition, on the environment, and on the sturdyness of the weather situation. This time it was extremely tricky, I have to say, and I was already all about failing massively. This is how I turned it around.

The first photo appeals to me much more than the second. The second did have magical light and if one only loved landscape was the better. However, the first had that wonderful "storm" look and it showed a human/nature interaction. These really appeal to me. I would have like to not have the white automobile in the photo but still..!
Hi Erich, interesting, I haven't expected that anyone would like the first shot more as the light was not ideal. But I think that shows how individual the personal taste is 🙂
According to the car: yes, absolutely. It had been better without. But I didn't have any choice here, unless I had relinquished the entire hut. But that was indeed an important element here for me.

Thank you so much, Darren! The free beer trick works all the time, in my experience. The advantage is: if it wouldn't work, we could at least walk down and enjoy one by ourselves 😉

Always great videos Christian! And beautiful photos. You always manage to capture wonderful atmospheres even in less than perfect conditions.
Passo Rolle is almost a nemesis for me 😅, every time I hope to come back with a fantastic shot, but the weather is never on my side. But sometimes I have been successful like for example on August 13th where I managed to capture the entire arc of the Milky Way on the Pale di San Martino.
Despite everything every time I go to these magnificent places, even if I don't come back with a wonderful photo the important thing is to enjoy the moment, live the adventure.
Hi Stephano, thank you so much, my friend 😊 There was always a low pressure bubble hanging around in the mountain, which is why the mountain got always veiled again after it was unveiled for just a few seconds. I think, the spot could work well in constant high pressure conditions. I will definitely try it again one day 😊

Yes, I like the composition, just the conditions were not ideal. I had needed one more hour or so to bring everything a bit better together. But however, now I have a reason to return 😉
