- Skull Island: Reign of Kong is a trackless dark ride located in the Islands of Adventure theme park at Universal Orlando. Universal Creative based its design on various films in the King Kong franchise and consulted with Peter Jackson, who directed King Kong (2005), during the initial phase of the project. The ride officially opened to the public on July 13, 2016, which was preceded by a series of soft openings held the previous month.

Yes I rode this ride once
The facade, queue, the theming, the music and animotronics are amazing on this ride, the only problem the ride is the over reliance of the screens. If they had less screens and more set pieces then this ride would easily be a top 5 at Islands of Adventure.
The animatronics in the queue are really well done. The Kong one is great too albeit anticlimactic.
I liked it when they had scare actors in the queue.
I love the witch animatronic in the queue!
When I ride this again soon, I’m going to have a friend film me saying *”HEY KONG! GODZILLA KICKED YOUR ASS!!”*

Screens, screens... and ...even more screens!
So incredibly boring compared to the "old" rides
King-Kong Encounter and especially Kongfrontation.
But that's only my opinion ;-)

I hope the ride is better in person ... On the video it looks very boring !
It’s similar to Fast and Furious Supercharged but it’s MUCH BETTER than that piece of shit! But this ride pales in comparison to Kongfrontation! You could say boring, but I really liked it because I’m a Kaiju fan, the giant Kong animatronic at the end feels a lot bigger when your riding it compared to the internet.
it is. In person you get to experience wind, water, and the screens look better than in the video. This is my 2nd favourite dark ride at this park, only losing to Spider Man
