  • Dr. Tony Nader is one of the brilliant minds in the United States with extensive knowledge of holistic consciousness. He has a Ph.D. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from MIT and is a neurologist trained at Harvard University. He is the successor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, a renowned scientist and Vedic Guru. Dr. Nader is the head of the global Transcendental Meditation organization in more than one hundred countries.
In this episode I ask Tony the age old question: what is the meaning of life? You might assume that question is a bit tongue in cheek, but what Dr. Tony Nader explained emphasized health and wellbeing and connectedness to mind, body, and soul. He connects mindfulness to brain science.
    I found it absolutely fascinating.
    Enjoy!

I have noticed that the more realistic a video is in providing effective and natural paths toward lasting peace and happiness, which we all search for, the fewer the views, and especially the fewer the comments.
My guesses as to reasons are that (1) people have to be ready for a simple and effective solution, coupled with (2) the natural disappointment that so many products and services advertised as providing such a solution do not fulfill their promises.
Readiness may require trying and giving up on the more popular solutions, such as breathing awareness, the most popular yet least effective meditation technique. Only after giving up on these popular solutions does a person finally become receptive to learning a natural, effortless, and really effective technique like Transcendental Meditation™ or Natural Stress Relief™.

Thanks for the lmrtsmve of meditation. My experience with meditation is ability to focus and concentrate.
I also followed teachings from Bhagavatar Gita, the Hindu holy book. One point from Gita I followed is acceptance of things that happen with out our contributing to to disaster; be a natural such as Tornado or personal eg cancer. Following this teachings, I applied to myself with unexplained diagnosis of cancer lung ( never smoked) with almost 13-15 cancer spread to brain in July of 2018.
With a combination of spirituality and acceptance, I am still doing well, inspite of statistical life expectancy of 6- 8months. Here I am almost 5 years later , I am functional.
For those who think meditation and Gita are a religion meditation can be practiced by any one and by any religion.

Great talk! I had an extreme "experience" about 50 years ago, about a year before I started TM. I spent many years trying to recreate that experience and now think that time would have been better spent just living with what I learned. As far as drug or chemical induced experiences, I fear that would result in repeated use trying to recreate them. That would be especially non-productive since the person would attribute the experience to something outside themself, missing the most fundamental and valuable aspect to be gained by experiences of expanded consciousness.

"Established in Being, perform action," Dr. Nader shares about contacting infinite energy, creativity, and intelligence, our 100% inner value, our Self, to act anchored in life, to ENJOY, and expand happiness for ourselves and our world, 100% outer value, 200% of life. Sound abstract? Listen in to this talk to enjoy the opportunity to make sense of the experience of life, and have an enjoyable listen.

I like the explanation given in 32:50 on how the physical reality emanated from consciousness. It also reminded me of the philosopher Plotin who described a doctrine of emanation explaining the exact same thing. Wow.
