This was very fun to watch & now I'm inspired to create some painted & stenciled papers. I don't have a gelli plate and have never really wanted one. This looks a lot more fun. 😂

This is so very nice. Quite frankly, I do have a large gel plate and I prefer painting paper without it. It’s a personal preference I’m sure. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, something that should be so obvious... isn't. It's truly a V-8 moment because why didn't I think of that - LOL! It looks like so much fun that I'm going to try tomorrow. TFS! (BTW, you got a new subbie based on this video.) (P.S. BTW, I abandon all my handmade journals at Little Free Libraries and the Senior Center. That way I don't need to worry if people like or don't like what I've done - take it and the little 'It found you, now it's yours note' or leave it for the next person.)

What fun they look amazing I’m starting to stencil postcards and papers as a background so I have some ready to go. Gelli plates can be scary the end result is much more hit and miss than using your ideas. Loving Lavinia stamps all of them are beautiful. Thanks you for the ideas ❤️🧚♀️🧚🧚

Gelli plates are outside my budget, but that's okay. You're ideas are more than enough for lots of experimentation! I love stencils so much. I'd like to find one like the flower. Thank you for your friendly fun video.
I wholeheartedly agree!! Especially since I want a 12x12 so I can do all the way up to scrapbook paper. I have bought the stuff to DIY one, just haven't done it yet. Plan on doing mostly glycerin with some alcohol. This looks like yet another great way to play with paper until then!!❤

@@oneheart19 Most "recipes" for diy gel plates use either 91-7% rubbing alcohol or glycerin as the liquid (instead of water, juice, broth) to mix/hydrate the unflavored gelatin. Glycerin is a preservative, so both should prohibit mold growth. Glycerin is used commercially in many products. Alcohol will continue to off gas (smell like alcohol). If your homemade plate molds you can bread it up into pieces, microwave it to melt it, then re-pour it into your frame(mold aka pan).

Hi Carol Thank you!! It's a knock off mixed media mat that I think came from the brand Waffle Flower (I saw that one on scrapbook.com) originally...But i found one like it that was inexpensive at hobby lobby.
