In February 2021 Eric Clapton’s live shows at The Royal Albert Hall were canceled due to the global pandemic. Determined to play, he brought his band together in the English countryside. In the absence of a live audience, he decided to record the performances. This release is the culmination of their sessions together at Cowdray House, West Sussex, England. - Hudba
"This one's for Peter!". Hats off.
Eric Clapton, Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Chris Stainton. A quartet of greatness. 👍 😎
I thought maybe that was Chris Stainton.
He's been around. I guess they all have.

and im not that old... 36 years old...
Dear Eric…don’t ever stop…we need you!
All fantastic musicians! So glad Clapton and his band recorded this whole album!
"This one is for Peter" ... a wonderful introduction and then a fantastic interpretation of a great song ... awesome. Chapeau Mr. Clapton

Its such a blessing for one British blues player to publicly pay respect to another great blues payer of his generation shalom Eric
It just amazes me that after all these decades, Eric Clapton's voice is still as smooth, on key and solid as it's ever been and his gift of being able to play the guitar the way he does, just shows that he's by far one of the greatest guitar players of all times
Smiles, hello Mary 🌺 😊
He sounds better than ever.
No question
Peter could blow him away on vocals. Loved em both
Mr. Clapton...i became a big fan of yours. You have a great kind soul. You were the best in Porto Alegre. Come again when you can. We miss you.
Peter Green needs to be acknowledged as one of the greats along with Eric, Jimmy and Jeff. How Peter is denied is beyond me.
I agree. My opinion is he is not as accessible as the aforementioned
.. maybe but at least Peter is the best and true singer of them. Crapton is an awful singer.
@@catholiccowboy8545 Clapton has an awfully nice bank balance though 👈

@@MrJenklns .. good for him ! Since the early 70s he's only in for money. I heard he has a rich contract with Fender, he's not supposed to play in any other brand of guitar than Fender.
What a privilege to be alive at the same time as the legendary Mr. Eric Clapton.
After reading he was in bad health, it's wonderful to see him playing and singing so well. Never underestimate Slow Hand
This a registration from February 2021. Probably without Jab.
Amen to that ❤
He's been on tour lately. He was in New Orleans just a little over a week ago.
..lol ... He's good there because you can't hear him play his guitar. Did he play his anti-vaxx records with Van Morrison ?
Eric Clapton was in bad health because of the C-19 jabs - apparently the side effects were so bad he thought he would not be able to play the guitar again.
Thank you Mr Clapton. You were one my Dads favorites...Now mine..
King Of blues! Wonderful! Went by Over half century , Eric voice is still wonderful as his fame. Luckily, I presented in his concert 2017 in LA County California after half year of delay. A lot of blessing to Eric Clapton.
This is only person that I would pay money to see. So wonderful to see him back and in the zone. I have been an EC fan since the beginning with the Yard Birds. What an evoltion throughout the years. Play on!!!

"this one's for Peter"....what a beautiful thought by EC....his acousitc playing simply blows my mind along with his singing. This type of small intimate setting works so well for him.

Whether sung by Fleetwood Mac or Santana and now Eric Clapton, all are done so well and one of my all-time favorites. Simply Marvelous.
Three of the best groups of musicians ever. But in the case of Black Magic Woman, I have to go with Santana.
Lockdowns and vaccines don’t work in stopping the spread of covid. Children’s test scores and businesses get impacted by the lockdowns.

This is pure art. Jesus lord this sound good. I am happy that I grow up with artist like Eric clapton and mark knopler. Salute eric!
Incredible , he still has that marvelous voice!
And only getting better. 👍
I am watching the full dvd on release day which is November 12th and I am stunned…..again! Eric just keeps growing and improving with age. He is well past the age where most artists hang it up but his voice sounds as good as ever. His acoustic playing doesn’t get talked about enough. Superior touch playing almost completely finger style and his solos are about perfect. The man knows his way around the fretboard. His phrasing and solo style are unmatched and he never plays the same thing twice. There is a lot to take in here and I am hearing some things in his playing I haven’t heard before. It is so annoying watching him play acoustic in his live shows in arenas because people won’t shut up and listen to him play. Everybody has to scream, yell, and clap in the middle of a song so the rest of us can’t hear him. No issues with that on this video. You can hear every note and he doesn’t hit a sour one at all. He also surrounds himself with the best musicians and you can tell these guys have played together forever. God bless you Eric and I hope you stay healthy and happy and bring us more music like this. Music heals!!!
Just love the piano work of Chris, Eric on acoustic is just brilliant, Steve on drums and Nathan playing a real double bass. HEAVEN
Nathaneast and Eric Claptom
I'm no expert but I honestly don't think his acoustic work gets nearly as much praise as it should! The electric guitar work is wonderful too but there's something extra special about his acoustic work.
I think his acoustic bluesy playing only gets better. His electric skills have naturally dropped off due to his age but this stuff is only getting better
He’s THE BEST on an acoustic guitar. It’s not even fair.
Let alone how he can play like that and sing at the same time.
Steve Gadd is amazing
Clever composition, you just know Peter is smiling down, thanks guys.
Wow! Very smooth and flowing! Thank you so much Eric for paying tribute to the late Peter Green ❤️👍 From one great guitarist to another.

Some people may view what Gadd is doing in this as “simple” “dumbed down” “easy” but in reality Gadd is the ONLY drummer on this planet to be able to display this kind of discipline and control. There’s such a high amount of complexity in his simple playing. He’s a bonafide absolute genius.
That's because he is a master. 🤘
Steve Gadd sets the bar so high that it is a real pleasure and a privilege to be able to enjoy all his performances and his work in time and space. GENIUS. PS-These people beautify the world. They put flowers on every music they play. Blessings! 🍷🎸
Steve Gadd is great.
Always one person in the comments who makes a fool out of themselves by making ridiculous statement. You're one under this video.
A couple of years ago, I read a book from the ’70s by a jazz scholar who himself was an excellent pianist. Among the contemporary jazz drummers he considered most talented at the time, he also mentions Steve Gadd among the half a dozen listed. I guess it hasn’t gotten any worse since then, even if jazz hasn’t become a determining factor in his career.

@@mikelast7918 The song itself is nothing (standard minor-key twelve-bar blues); it’s the Santana band arrangement and Carlos’s playing in particular that makes it catch fire. This rendition would be fine if Clapton had any pick-less acoustic lead-guitar technique, but clearly he doesn’t have.

Clapton is my generations heartbeat. We do not have a time in our life where he (or his music) hasn't been out there in the limelight. As we near retirement age and he should be long past retired, he's still putting himself out there! I'm sure he doesn't read all these posts but... Thanks for the lifetime of music and all that you've done to bolster other musicians careers, bring the Blues to the forefront along with your own flavor mixed with your influences from Legends past.

You are confused, it's about me...Wake up!
It's gorgeous!
Back when graffiti started popping up all over London proclaiming "Clapton is God", Clapton would correct journalists during interviews by saying "no, they mean Peter Green". Such tone, whether he was playing a strat or a Les Paul. Some of the best phrasing, in or out of the blues, and his singing sounded effortless. People don't realize that Fleetwood Mac started out as a blues band built from the rhythm section of John Mayall's blues breakers; Peter replaced Clapton in that band.
@@ajsmusic2561 yes I am still confused
Laudable initiative of Eric, I am a contemporary of his and I have been playing, singing and writing songs since 1964, I am one of the many unknown artists who have lived with music well. without music we don't know how to stay and for 2 years I have been writing and recording songs that I gift as Claton with whom in 74 I shared the stage on his first tour in Australia *

Peter Green was the man who successfully replaced 'God' in the Bluesbreakers. When I heard the 'Live
in 1967' album, I couldn't believe it wasn't Clapton. I checked the booklet and yes, it was Green. Of course, I know this song from Santana. Eric's version is delicious with it's 'chamberness'. It reminded
me David Gilmour's acoustic 'In Concert'.
