Jon Hassell - Last Night The Moon Came [Stretched]

Jon Hassell describes “Last night the moon” as “a continuous piece, almost symphonic, with a cinematic construction” and drifting “clouds made out of many motifs”. Core material is drawn from a session at Studios La Buissonne near Avignon in April 2008, with detail added in Los Angeles in November and December. Live recordings from Courtrais, Belgium and London, as well as a remix of a piece originally created for a Wim Wenders movie, are also integrated into the atmospheric, filmic flow, along with short samples snared throughout 2008.

Yeah!! You can do a lot with Audacity but it goes to show what a brilliant work this is. That you can slow it to 1/4 time and it still makes you feel like God has come to save you from all vexation and suffering and delusion. Hassel is what Miles Davis would have become if he were still alive; meaning THIS IS MODERN JAZZ. Bebop be damned.

Если мне всё таки удастся написать сценарий фантастического фильма, то такая музыка в том фильме оказалась бы к месту. Ещё в конце художественных фильмов часто под подобного рода музыку проходят титры.
Астронавт случайно улетает в открытый космос во время ремонтных работ на околоземной космической станции, срывается. Но не умерает, а впадает в анабиоз и долгое время летит в кромешной тьме. А потом с высоты падает в океан экзопланеты. Но и это еще не всё: на этой планете он встречает девушку, тоже с Земли. Её подняло ветром вверх в Альпийских горах, когда она вечером возвращалась в свою деревню. Она жительница одной из провинций Древнего Рима. На этой планете организм человека не стареет. Красиво там. Они выйдут на связь с Землей через радиопередатчик астронавта.
