It's really sad that nobody seems to remember Archie. He didn't trip on that shell, he protected his captain from it.

The playthrough with the USA literally dropped Dozens of Nukes is the one where Japan refuses to surrender and must be invaded, then Germany Clings to life until 1947. Which was after their entire Reich was literally reduced to a radioactive wasteland.

Apparantly I was one of the first people to get this achievement. I got it when only 0.1% of players had it. The thing is, I didn't even do it on purpose. It's actually incredibly easy to just get it by just playing the USA normally.
I did it totally by accident, tbh you can do this without trying to do it.
My bad thing with usa is that i dont wanna wait until i get nukes and thats why i dont have this

And about 50 million of those were soviets

It does say on the Lend Lease Act that taking the Neutrality Act drastically increases the requirements to pass the Lend Lease Act, from what I can read when I paused the video when you hovered over it, you couldn't choose it because no other major democratic nation is at war or has more than 0% surrender progess.

B-29’s were actually really effective at defending themselves over Japan when compared to B-17’s over Europe.
I mean comparing B-17s and B-29s hardly seems fair though. B-29s were so much faster and often did night bombing.
Dyllan Alford what RAF Hawk said and Japan’s anti-air defenses were basically non existent.
Japan had a few thousand aircraft relegated to home defense, problem was most couldn’t climb to the B-29’s operating height, and those that could were usually shot down. I compared them to the B-17’s because the idea of bombers not being able to defend themselves stems from the operations of the 8th Air Force over the Reich.

Sad late game fact ... you have to carpet nuke to make break through @ParadoxFixThisPlz
They are so horribly under powered. I kind of feel like a nuke should be much harder to build but when you use them they:
1. Delete every unit on the tile it hits. (no de org crap, the unit is literally gone as if it was overrun)
2. Remove ALL buildings on that tile (again it can't be repaired, everything on that tile needs to be built from scratch.)
3. Disregard the population of that tile as counting towards your manpower.
4. Each time a players core territory is hit with a nuke it reduces their war support by 10%
5. If your capital is hit with a nuke, it's a one time 40% war support loss.
@@QuantumShock1 I'm pretty sure that nukes already decrease war support tho, but I agree to the previous points.
Germany is a large pain in the ass once they manage to defeat France and break the Stalin Line. Spamming nukes seems to be the meta against late game Germany nowadays.
@@theexam7394 And the allies and the Soviet AI are unbelievably weak. I had to help the Soviets defend their line just to prevent them from losing.
One good thing though is Italy is still useless so it was easy to make another front
@@ericaarcadia7178 Very agreeable. The Soviets couldn't even win a war of attrition (something that they're supposed to be good at), and heck they even declare war on Japan considering the fact that they couldn't even handle one front.
Also, Italy is very useless as long as you maintain naval supremacy and a solid amount of troops on their border. Their national spirit "Vittoria Mutilata" makes the AI very offensive-focused. Everytime they attack (even on forts) might mean that they can break through after some time.
@@QuantumShock1 Thats the thing the first nukes weren't that damaging. A tile in this game is a significant amount of land, one nuke like the ones dropped in Japan shouldn't wipe out all divisions. There should be either: stronger nuke variants or the deployment of 8 or more nukes in a tile completely deletes everything like you say.
Historically, after the B-29 had got radar-guided guns, it could shoot down any interceptor going after it.
Heh, I did that achievement AND Georgia on my mind in the same game with no exploits It's so easy these days with the "withdraw from Washington naval treaty and get Britain to declare on you" strategy.

Actual stats are debated but its estimated that between 70-85 million died in WW2.

Total dead in World War 2 was about 72 million. In terms of military casualties a total of about 12 million in Europe and about 20 million in Asia with the rest being the civilians

I think the achievement icon is a reference to the movie of the same name. Which is pretty cool honestly.
I tried achieve many USA achievement with just one gameplay, results are:
•Team America (Nuke Paris)
•3 Georgias (US, UK, Soviet Union)
•Arsenal of Democracy (300 Mil. Factory as Democratic)
While play as Communist USA and using your USA Gameplay collection as my inspiration to do so, thank you so much Dave! Now excuse me, I have to deal with One Empire 😉
Feedback fun fact economic law doesn’t effect infrastructure build speed so as America I do the same early game thing but max out infrastructure

When you choose Neutrality Act you need a major nation with the same ideology to have at least one point towards surrender before you do Lend Lease focus. Otherwise you can only easily lend lease to Chiang Kai Shek's China with Lady Wu as advisor and USA side of China's foreign development focus tree acivated.

I would complain about the decaf bit, except I've come to appreciate it. I think it's the sort of thing that comes as you get old, I have normal coffee in the morning, decaf if I absolutely have to get coffee in the evening. It tastes just as well too.

I have always wondered about the one division trick and building up your division size as big as possible. considering you spend upwards of 90 xp to max out that division, do you really earn enough xp through this trick to offset that 90? is there a possibility that if you end up at war sooner you may not earn that exp back and may have been better suited to go ahead and leave the division at a smaller size anyways?
