The Best yrs of my Life. Late 70s and early 80s
Yeah me too. This brings me back to Hartford, Connecticut in 70s. Hartford High class of 79...matter of fact I I knew a brother named Theo Wright. He was from New Haven.
And That's Fasho!!❤
Someone please put me in a time capsule and take me back to the days when music was real, life was more simple, everyone loved each other. I still listen to old school music to drown out the negativity surrounding us these days, plus it gives me lots of positive memories….enjoy this music because they don’t make real music now.
Wow!! You said it better than I ever could!! If you get that time machine don't forget me!!
Still Have This Album On Vinyl And Not A Scratch On It
These was my boys they were tight RIP Louis mccall
I love confunkshun.i 😮thank God that I was able to see them perform live in Charlotte NC at a summer festival.they were so cute down to earth and the concert was fantastic.i love you guys.❤❤❤❤❤😂😂
Great album these guys should be in the hall of Fame.
Lovin you is so easy"!!
Make it last" Ole School will never get old !!
Music i grew up on!
I was in 8th grade visiting my auntie in Bronx NYC. She came back from California with this album. I listened to the song Loveshine over and over. Been a Confunkshun fan ever since. Great music. Great Band!
Michael Cooper once said that they would rehearse 8 hours A day at their Studio the melody Lounge in Vallejo on Sonoma Street that was open to the public. By the way his second job was a sheriff and the same county🚔

This album is the hardest to find. I wore mine out.
Wow! Sooo many memories! Me, my sis & gfs flirtin’ with all the GIs at Luke AFB and dancing the nite away at the Silver Wings Rec Center and NCO club! And now here I sit, 2nd shift at work with my Raycons blasting my ears lol....retiring in three and a half weeks! Time absolutely flew by!
See this is why I love music
I was in Atlanta when this happened it didn't matter to me I just love you
I had this album back in the day...Con Funk Shun, there will never be another group like them...
This is such a great album that I can't forget how much it brings back so, so, so, much of the days I lived back then..."Make it last."
LoveShine was the all time jam, even till this day I got to pull it up listen to it
WOWWW!!! THIS ALBUM IS CLASSIC. BRINGS BACK MEMORIES. 2 ME, IT'S THEIR BEST. THE ALBUM THAT MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH CON FUNK SHUN!!!
My jam....old school funk!
One of the loveliest love songs I’ve ever heard! Shout out to to Confunkshun-formally project soul from Vallejo, CA.
love love love this album it has really grown on me
not a bad song on this album
Cedric Martin was a very clean, crisp and funky Bassist!!!🤘🏿❤👑
L
I Think I Found The Answer!!! Freshman in college. Played this song 2-3 dozen times a day!!!
Michael Cooper is so talented!! DJ LUKE From Tokyo
Felton , genius
This is a super under rated album. The slow jams especially are totally hidden gems in my opinion. Amazing instrumental performances, vocal arrangements, and just the perfect, subtle dose of 70's psychedelia and spaciness
This was the JAM back in the day in Germany, I love it. there will never be another.
I have this but no player. Glad this is here. Commercials though.
Con Funk Shun has been one of my favorite groups in the late 70's. This Album was perhaps my favorite one because I was deeply in love with a beautiful young lady from my hometown. I used to sing "Make It Last" to her all the time. The very first time I sung the song to her she came all the way to Fort Bragg, NC to visit me. Wow, those were the days.
My last full summer in Bridgeport Connecticut. This whole album make me long for those days!!
use to hear make it last and loveshine in the casinos as a kid, and my moms house in the 2000s when i was a kid uh memories
This is Confunksun in its prime!
9/2020 Still listening.
I will never forget how this album would make me feel..
Me neither, this that sweet love music.
I was a freshman at SC State. Their best album . Only can find it on CZcams
This was the JAM back in the day , alot of this new stuff today can't compare. ☺
I'm second in motion.
AGREE!!
You right!
This reminds me of Not Ready 🤘🏿
@@jeannie20001 very true
One of the most underrated.
Never heard this song and never heard of them. Was at Southern University A&M and never heard this in 1978.
You NEVER heard of confunkshun?? Damn... you lead a young sheltered life. This band was it for SOUTHEAST TEXAS and the PINEY WOODS!!
Wow.just Wow.
This album brings back so many Beautiful Memories 😎

I remember this album when I was a young man. Really a beautiful album first girlfriend with this album
Con Funk Shun, Bootsy Collins, EWF, Ohio Players and many other "Bands" ushered in the Disco Era in the late 70's.... the decade of the 80's was the epitome of all musical genre's.... This time period has/had the BEST music EVER...from Pop to Rock to Heavy Metal to R&B to Soul, Jazz and RAP!!!😎🥸💯
Favorite Band
Definitely my favorite Confunkshun album, and the title cut is my favorite song out of many great songs they had.
Mine too
My favorite Con Funk Shun Album ! Ever
i think it is their best album
johnny boswell horns are crazy fly
I have to agree johnny. This is special for me because when they came to Birmingham, AL in concert promoting this album, I got to see and fall in love with, a young Latina percussionist who was with them. She did the conga solo for the song "When The Feeling's Right". At the time, female percussionists were unheard of and when I saw her play, she had me hooked. The Latina was none other than the Legendary Sheila Escovedo! I've been a fan of hers ever since. I also agree with preving, I think this was their best album, followed by Candy, although Linda Lou McCall, widow to Louis McCall doesn't think so.
Just picked this up on vinyl.... fantastic album
You have to be real ole school to know and luv this music, Dammit
One of the best years of my life young man 18 with A nice ride and my 1st love me and my best friend at the time were off into our cars and our girl. Even as youngster's we were selective in who we hung around we weren't off into all that violence and hard core crime Shit and guess what ? We're OGs now and NEVER been in prison. Bet A lot of people wish they could say the same !!!!
There are an abundance of reasons for that. Not the least of which is the music they are subjected to. I'll go to my grave believing the rap is the worst thing that has EVER happened to music. Let's not forget the violent nature of the most popular video games. You have black radio stations that employ announcers that speak no better than common street hoods; in fact, they embrace these DJ's. Our youth are being manipulated at every turn. But this is a story for another time, another forum.
Confunkshun's "Loveshine" LP was their best. By far. Summer of '78. Sixteen years old. Summer of love for me-- well not quite. I was still chasing my first piece, but that too is a story for another time...
Even as a girl back in the day. I had my ride and it was mean clean machine. One guy in my life school was everything great family no jail. We had it and still got it going on at 66. That's what it was all about and love still shine this album and Confunkshun band one of the best.
Me too my brother I was 18
All I can say is peace...and, beautiful vibrations ♥️✌️☮️♎

I love this album so much I commissioned a wall art hanging picture of it. The album cover on one side with the vinyl next to it, partially still in the cover jacket. I even had the DJ play some of this album at my wedding! 1978 was a great year in music for me.

yo, this is it
This a definitely a cruising album. Just put it on and let it play.
When those horns chime in, this jam sounds like "FUN".
Love these guy's music, & the one with that soprano voice be hitting those high notes, bro man can straight 8 sing.
That's Felton Pilate. Michael Cooper is the one with the heavy voice. They really knew how to make great music back then.
Brother that is called a "falsetto" singing voice or style, as opposed to what is called the "natural" voice. The falsetto is actually a singing technique and not an actual voice type, like for example the one you've mentioned the"soprano". People who sing in this very high falsetto style almost always have a much deeper natural singing voice, for example Prince or Phillip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire. Many singers actually don't care for the falsetto because it tends to make men sound like women, like for example the great Russell Thompkins Jr of the Stylistics. However during the 1970's almost every group had to have one because women loved it and it sold millions and millions of records.
Felton Pilate beautiful voice
Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, I stand corrected, Felton Pilate is very talented.
@@abdur-rahmanmuhammad9429 TRUTH!

This is a fantastic album, let me borrow it. No my brotha, you got to get your own. :-)
Goddamn right. Real music guys didn't lend out their albums. CD's either. And chicks weren't allowed within 25 feet of my albums. They get any closer, you might as well give it to 'em. They done scratched it up.
90's Slow Jams commercial plug... I see what you did there...
I waited till I got on the road and adjusted the eq if I loaned this out I will never see it again
And lovin' you is so easy!
