This watch reminds me of Middle School where all the cool kids wore G-shocks. I got one in 8th grade and after doing my own TylerTube tests such as throwing it in the pool, running it over with my bike, etc. it still runs to this day. That was 12 years ago
Had one in the army while I was in. Been through extreme cold (Alaska) and extreme heat (Death Valley Arizona, Afghanistan too) It’s still going strong and I have it to this day. I bought mine in 2010
I still wear g shocks it's all I wear. I read somewhere that the navy seals were even starting to wear g shocks don't know if it's true but as durable as they are wouldn't suprise me

Many different cheaper watch brands have mass produced computers in them with customized cases. The screens may be different materials. They only have to be more indestructible than you while you're wearing them.

I've had a few Carbinox watches and they have held up pretty well. The last one I killed by pitting it while welding, obviously my fault. But their prices have went up to the point I don't think they are worth it. I'm currently wearing a ZBlaze watch and it seems built just as well, at a quarter of the price.
i still wear mechanical watches, i mean i got a smartphone (just like every single person in 2024) so if i got to check the time i pull out my smart phone and it will show the time, weather, sunrise/ sunset, storm warnings, crime alerts and its all in one screen... that said i do wear wrist watch sometimes...

I know they likely already lit on fire by now, but for a lithium fire you’d want like, a metal bucket filled with sand to put electronics in when the batteries expand, they can burn for a while and burn extremely hot and can burn almost anything.
It's outside, it's fine also most of the time the damaged battery doesn't burn, in fact for me none of them has.

I always had good luck with G-Shock while in the army. I was infantry and wore that watch everywhere while stationed in Alaska and deployed in Afghanistan. It’s been in -35 deg weather and it’s been in over 110 deg weather. Very durable watch. It even survived a suicide bomber when I was hit lol I didn’t like how bulky it was but it held up for years of abuse!

I actually have the exact same cheap watch. I'm abusive to watches and it has held up for over a year. There are a few little scratches you can see when the watch is asleep, but as soon as it lights up you can't even tell.

I resisted smart watches for years. But i finally broke my dumb watch for the last time, i spent more money replacing components, and crystal front glass than the watch was originally worth. So i ended up just buying a galaxy watch 5 pro, the weight and size wouldn't work for everyone, but for me it does, and its not rectangular. Iike another brand, and thus far seems decently durable. Unbreakable? Yeah, nothing is Unbreakable. Especially if you give it to me to use on a daily basis. Lol. I would say it is durable though. Haha
Edit: i did immediately order a metal band for it, the silicone one that came with it felt wrong to me

I've had my corbinox watch for about 3 years. I am a mechanic and a construction worker. My watch has been through hell and still looks and works great.
I think it’ll scratch at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level 7.
Nothing has yet to survive my nightstand and a 36 inch drop from my couch to the floor.
I've found the Garmin Instinct is nearly indestructable, although at 3x the price.
You want a durable watch, get a G-Shock.
