    Lowered my hybrid Maverick 2/23. Used Eibach springs, 2" front/2 1/2" back. Initially had some rubbing the inner wheel well (stock wheels/tires). Tailgate damper was a must for me, under $30 and 15 minutes, replaced the lost tie down with a triangle tie down (use factory screw).

      I want to do this because I like the look, but I I'm worried on how it affects the smoothness of the ride. How do you like it? And Do you bottom out with passengers in the back

      You said initially you had rubbing with the stock wheels. Do you have 17's or 18's? And Did eventually that go away? Thanks

      Mine has 17s on it now. I’ve never rubbed once on the stock wheels or 20s

      @@mason5545 Stock 17" wheels/tires. Mine was an early lowering and there was some back and forth of information with Eibach with the shop on why. Ended up the inner wheel well needed a little massage to get clearance. After that no issues. I had a REALLY good shop that I trust. It matters

      @@PerformanceOnWheels I’m use to driving either a super duty diesel f350 which averages about 13mpg and costs $225~$250 a week to drive back and forth to work. Or an f150 which costs approx $75~$85 per week to drive.
      I think I can sacrifice 1~3 mpg for some sick wheels. 😝😂🔥🔥🔥🔥

    I just installed my eibach springs on my 24 maverick. I believe you installed your rear eibach springs upside down. The progressive part should be on the top. The writing on the springs should be able to be read.....not upside as stated in the install instructions. Unless it is different from a hybrid to an ecoboost (like i have). Thanks

    I'm no rocket science, but the best way to lower.A truck or a vehicle is with small wheels.At least 1819's.Don't go bigger than 20s.You don't want to go dubbed dub size.That's not lowering lowering the car.Smaller wheels faster lighter weight rims don't go bigger than twenties

    I just picked these lower springs and it says you need to cut the front "BUMPER STOP" and it comes with a pair to replace the back. Did you see that in the instructions? Is this something that has to be done? Thanks.

    What’s the ride quality like with the Eibach springs? I haven’t had a mini truck since the early 90’s so that being said I was much younger and would tolerate a lot of bumps and bouncing way more then I will today. Haha back in the day I had an 87 toyota on deep dish 15x10’s with some low profile tires on 5 stars poking way out the sides! Haha I’m not bringing that look back 😂😂

      It’s not terrible, little bit stiff but it’s very easy to drive on a day to day basis. Not bad at all

    Wondering if first iff tires rub. Next if the mpg is better, and last can you still load up the bed and the truck ride will and not bottom out. Just got my maverick today and based off how yours looks. I want to do this

    • @PerformanceOnWheels
      @PerformanceOnWheels  Před 10 měsíci +1

      They don’t rub at all! Mpg has gone down 2, I’m guessing because of them being slightly wider is the reason why.
      You can load up the bed and it will work exactly the same

    • @Mr316jon316
      @Mr316jon316 Před 10 měsíci +1

    • @PerformanceOnWheels
      @PerformanceOnWheels  Před 10 měsíci +2

      @Mr316jon316 the ride is a little bit more harsh but not bad at all. No I haven’t gotten it close to bottoming out. It is still higher up than most cars
