You are correct, the brother made a mistake as Allah had mentioned Adam’s ﷺ mission on Earth long before his test, Adam and Eve’s appointment to earth is not viewed as punishment, instead, it aligns with the plan of Allah.

According to SCHOLARS of Islam the meaning of “la ilaha illa Allah” is that nothing worshiped is worthy of worship except Allah-it is simultaneously a denial and affirmation. “la ilaha” is denial of all worship other than that of Allah. “illa Allah” is affirmation that all worship is for Allah Alone without partners.

Slight correction and I could be wrong. But I don't think Adam and Hauwa (As) were sent to earth as punishment in Islam. That was always the plan of Allah. Remember when Allah told the Angels that He was going to place on the earth a Khalifa. Them eating from the fobbiden tree was just what initiated them coming to earth.

To clarify, Adam&Eve sent to earth wasn't a punishment, but God deemed they're ready for their task. The task as custodian of Earth been established earlier. When they're making mistake, recognized their mistake and followed a sincere apology to God (unlike satan who knew did wrong but no repentance), then God deemed Adam&Eve were ready for their task. One repentance set a difference between creations. Our purpose is to worship, our task as humanity is custodian of Earth, we will be tested but when failing those: repent.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Adam and Moses argued with each other. Moses said to Adam. 'O Adam! You are our father who disappointed us and turned us out of Paradise.' Then Adam said to him, 'O Moses! Allah favored you with His talk (talked to you directly) and He wrote (the Torah) for you with His Own Hand. Do you blame me for action which Allah had written in my fate forty years before my creation?' So Adam confuted Moses, Adam confuted Moses," the Prophet (ﷺ) added, repeating the Statement three times.
@@forgivenessseeker2023 Exactly my point! Adam&Eve fate were sent as custodian of earth in the first place, never mentioned punishment as misunderstood by Prophet Musa. Adam&Eve, they were deemed ready as authority due to humility/repentance opposite of satan's arrogance/defiance. Satan deserve punishment but granted respite. Adam&Eve forgiven and proceed to their written fate.

Professor Bart Erhman, one of the world’s best New Testament scholars, teaches a good course on this, and has written a book, on just this subject, “How Jesus Became God.”
BY THE END OF THE CENTURY, some Christians were beginning to think of Jesus as a God equal, or nearly equal, to God the Father. Earlier on, Jesus was thought of as the adopted Son of God, and the Gospel of Mark backs up that view. It was only by the end of the century that many Christians were beginning to believe in Jesus as a fully divine, pre-existing being. And it took a few more centuries still for the Doctrine of the Trinity… Jesus as fully God equal to God the Father… for orthodoxy to completely embrace that doctrine.
Before the end of the first century, most Christians were “Ebionite” Christians, who essentially were like today’s Messianic Jews.
It is my belief that these ideas accumulated more and more after Jesus’ death. There is Biblical evidence to suggest that Jesus never taught he was God, although some passages in John (which is where the “I am” comes from) suggest he did think he was God.
But in the Synoptics…
Jesus, when he teaches how to pray, never ever says, “Pray to me.” Never. It is “Our Father” who art in Heaven, not merely “my Father.” All the peacemakers, he claims, “will be called the sons of god.” Jesus asks, “Why do you call me good? Only one is good, that is, God.” That is a troubling passage that is in all three Synoptics: Mark, Matthew, Luke.
He says the time of the Second Coming “is known to the Father but not the Son.” And so on
You are in confusion! WHO is Jesus when Jesus pre-existed with his Father before the worlds are created and before his incarnation on earth?
In another word, Can Man exist with God before he was born?
You did not read and understand the whole Bible! After ascension, Jesus confirmed He is the TRUE GOD or CREATOR... in several divine phrases... reserved for GOD ONLY in the OT, such as the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, the Lord of Lords, the Lord of Sabbath (who the Jews worship)

the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.
John 1:18 - "No one has ever seen God. The only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, has revealed him."

As for Bart Erhman, he was NOT God or the divine son of God; so, nothing is reliable with his own human view against the Son of God Jesus Christ.

Allah swt told the angels that he is creating another creation that will be ashraf ul makhluqat. They never killed Jesus. The matter of the fact that Jesus was praying, sweating and begging God to save him from his enemies in Matthew 26:39 and Luke 22:44, clearly shows he never wanted to die, and God heard his prayers and saved him as prophesied in the full Pslam 91 chapter and the following verses:
Pslam 91:10-16. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place-
the Most High, who is my refuge-
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.

He will say: O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not? Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you fed Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not? Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. He will say: O Lord, how should I give You to drink when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me.

The mythical Quran author called Allah said to man "He is the first and the last" (Quran 57:3) but Jesus in the Bible previously confirmed, "I am the First and the Last" (Rev 1:17-18, 22:12-13). Of course, they are not the same one being. So, who is the TRUE Creator?

I'll add my perspective as a Christian: I don't understand how God is three in one. I do know this however: I need saving everyday. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not my own savior. I just can't escape the sinking ship. Oh I used to believe my good works were like a life raft.. until I realized it had a hole in it, and was sinking too. I see the sin gap between God & humans as the size of the Grand Canyon. I just can NOT jump it. God is just too perfect, and I just can't reach Him & obtain salvation without Himself saving me by grace through faith.
I myself still did not know why you keep thinking God is like "one single person being" in heaven... for one physical mono-stone worship in Mecca only ... when the TRUE God is not limited by any dimension (time, space, matter, creature, relation...)
I don't understand either once you proclaimed as christian but you don't believe in trinity. This has knocked down the foundation of the basic teaching of Christianity right

What a poor Muslim teacher! when he failed to prove the mythical, powerless Quran author was the TRUE creator.
In the beginning, IF God cannot have His own Son and His own Spirit from nothing, then how did God become the supreme Creator to create all other things from nothing???
And by biological terms, can people understand the origin God nature in spirit can self-split into 2 identical God cells (called the Father and the Son) from nothing ... without the help from any woman or helper as argued in the Quran?
