hey bud, hope the fam is doing well. I wanted to let you and others know that my stihl 200t rebuild went great. changed bearings and everything. I’m very grateful to have found your channel, i wouldnt know most of the things i know if it werent for you.
I’ve got an early 630 that I essentially turned into a super. Larger HS225 carb and modded muffler. It pulls a 24” bar surprisingly well. Still 48mm top end.
HI TINMAN 😊😊 I don't remember seeing none of those saws growing up 1 of dads friend about his age did and he knew the fellow back then 😊😊 OMG 7 17 2O24
My # s on 630 ,670 Intake 77.5° Exhaust 102 ° Transfers 120 ° Works on my saws I just built a 670 champ and the owner is happy it pulls long bars and short
Ive done two older huskies with a big .040+ pop-up and base cut and they respond very well. Just finished up a 55 with a low exhaust roof and about 24° of BD. Runs great!
It just goes to show that you can put these mochines together with old original parts and still have a reliable saw for years to come. It doesn't take all bran new OEM parts to build a good saw. I have a 55 husky that I built with mostly after market (the cheapest parts I could find) that has cut 100's of cords of wood and is still cutting today seven years later. Thanks for the info. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
I wore out a bunch of 630s , but the stock 670 is a totally different saw , you better know how to use a saw . I still have a dead on on the shelf , can’t part with it . 👍🇨🇦
Do you still plan on fixing that barn find motorcycle engine ik you have a lot of irons in the fire... to ne honest I can't remember if it was even viable lol remember cylinders were seized
She cuts Eh!! That thing rips and it’s a bit different. Not something you see as much. A 28” bar and sharp chain and that’s all you’d need from Manitoba Eastwards…..
Тим привет нужна твоя помощь. Обнаружил на своей 266 se протектор карбюратора трещина, он тёмного цвета, пила 82года, от чего подойдёт от61, 630,266хр? И чем заклеить адаптер?
Hey tinman totally off topic of the video but I'm a tree guy/climber. Needing a descent 50cc saw that I can carry up a tree for the little but bigger cuts. Looking at a husky 545 mark2 and a 291 stihl. Also as a good ground saw. I know they ain't classified professional but my 500i is a bit much in the tree. Anyone in the comments have a good suggestion. And price is a factor. The 500i blew my socks off lol.
Building a Jonsered 670 Super and going to try my hand at porting it. Thanks for all the content and the great information
Cool to see a couple Stihl’s on the shelf!
Thanks for your knowledge and sharing ❤

Awesome that you keep notes.
The 630 and 670 with a bit of simple tweaks become meaner saws.
My squish is 26
.035 Pop up piston, no machine work to the cylinder base gasket delete I use Three bond 1184 , or moto seal

I aswell love that saw!
That 630 is a menace
630 super is fine and dandy, but what about that 92 super you have. Lets build that one! 😮
👍
