AWD SE with 22,000 miles. Cruises nice . . . not exactly sporty on the corners but fun enough. Feels solid, drives smooth and plenty of power. Range in decent weather is 300 plus highway and 370 plus city miles. Fast charging up to 230 kWh. Nice car, very nice car.
Hyundai/Kia are on a roll of great products! I like the front but not the back. Frunk is perfect for my emergency supply of THC gummies. Too bad Chevy gave up on the Volt & Bolt instead of trying to improve them. Did management raid my gummies stash?
I have a '23 Bolt euv Lt (with driver and comfort packages), and the Ioniq 6 is one of the few current evs that entices me; i like the slick euro sedan look. The backup camera on the Bolt impresses everyone who sees it; Chevy did a great job on that feature. I charged beside a Kia ev6 last week, and I think it looks better "in person" than in pictures; as far as I know they share platforms.
I have had similar experiences with the Bolt backup camera. Everyone who rides with me comments on how large and clear the backup camera is! Great touch. I’ve looked at the EV6 on the channel as well. It is great!
I usually agree with you but I'm not too fond of the looks of this car. I recently drove the Kona, and it is a confusing mess too! I'm going with the Volvo EX30!
@@MetzTech Maybe this fall you can find one in the USA to review they seem to be media-friendly... It gets rave reviews almost everywhere if the reviewer is used to Bolt EV/Bolt EUV-sized cars!
I have to Bolt EUV and love it but looking for something just a little bit bigger. I drive the Volvo EX40 recharge. Loved it and I think my wife would love it which will be the deciding factor. How do you like your Volvo? I’ve always admired them as good looking, high quality cars but I’ve never owned one. They are taking a very assertive stance on EV’s and Vegan. The one I drove had CarPlay and Android. This makes it an easy transition to just plug in my iPhone and keep rocking’. Anyway I’d love to hear back if you can as to how you like your new Volvo. It’s just me, my wife and our little shih tzu but we like to drive in comfort and feel secure among the trucks on I-26 so any real world experience you can share is much appreciated. Thanks!
Hey Louis, I agree with you, Hyundai and Kia are just beating then out of the park. But in order to make them trully desirable you have to opt for the higher trims. The Ioniq 6 is a true Tesla 3 competitor. Specially with the incentives their throwing at them to compensate for the loss of the federal tax credit. I also agree with you on the back end, to busy just for that is a no for me .
I agree. That’s one of the big downsides with legacy brands is the trim level breakdown. You typically have to spend a ton of $$ to get the features you want. That’s one reason I appreciate Tesla, you can option on white seats and bigger wheels but you are mainly just paying for more power. All the tech features are just standard. That’s the way it should be. But yeah I love what Hyundai and Kia are doing, no doubt.
In your sound test city driving I heard some plastic panels rattling very similar to what I started hearing in my 2023 Kia Niro EV. 😂 So seems the Hyundai Kia similarity besides software screens and buttons goes also with interior panel rattling. My 2022 Bolt EUV that I sold never had interior rattling, but recently I started noticing suspension squeaking over big bumps which got me concerned for a new car with just 10k miles and convinced me more to switch to Niro EV.
Ok I’m watching this about the Ionic 6 which you said is your friend’s car… What car did you Buy when you said goodbye to your Bolt??? All your loyal fans are waiting to see!!!

My camera looks like it's in 4k, it could never be described as fuzzy.
Totally agree with what Hyundai is doing with design! Good review!
Thanks, Carlos!

Hey, to each their own! I would love to check out an EX30. They look awesome!

That is definitely a criticism, the interior build quality leaves a lot to be desired. But man is it fun to drive 😅
