- On my channel i’ve covered the history of many of vivziepop’s old cancelled projects. These projects had a variety of interesting ideas, however they had to be scrapped due to time constraints and other contributing factors. There is one project that i’ve yet to cover and this one has a tragic backstory which sets it apart from the rest. In this video i’m going to discuss the history and tragic disappearance of vivziepop’s timber series.

Crazy how different things could've turned out if Timber actually was created. Do you reckon she would be facing as much controversy and criticism if Timber became her main focus besides HH? (since HB probably wouldn't exist)
Personally i think she still would have, but just to a lesser degree. Alot of viv's old drama's were caused by zoophobia which was being made alongside timber.
Added to this, alot of viv's older dramas weren't actually related to her projects, but just people she associated with. Unfortunately viv would be friends with people who would end up turning on her.
I do think in this alternate reality where timber was the main project, channels like myself wouldn't exist. I'd still be doing gaming content probably.

@@theunicornsys they're mad about the word crazy being used. which hasn't been used to describe mental illness directly for quite some time. usually people use it to say how something is crazy, like crazy odds for a shiny in a pokemon game or crazy luck. Crazy now means mostly something being like out of this world or uncommon n such.

Timber had a lot of potential and I think making Timber the character not speak and instead have her communicate via expressions and movements would have been creative and a good use of animation.
I hate it when projects new movies and shows get scrapped and never see the light of day. But, if these shows did exist. Then we wouldn’t have the shows and movies we know and love now. Although, I’m hoping that Timber and Zoophobia will get a second chance
I'm certain when Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are finished, Vivienne will give Timber another shot. By then, her channel will likely have well over 10 million subscribers, so crowdfunfing would be smooth sailing.
As for Zoophobia, I think Viv intends to reboot it since the story is not what it used to be. This comic is where the Hellaverse was originally supposed to be before becoming it's own thing. Not to mention Zoophobia was something of a punching bag during its time. So Viv might focus solely on Timber or whichever of her other film or TV projects she chooses when the Hellaverse shows are complete.

Honestly it’s understandable she wouldn’t want to work on Timber anyone after being scammed. Like I’ve lost months of work on projects due to one reason or another and I just cannot bring myself to work on them again from all the time lost. I can imagine it’d be worse for Viv since she put money into it
The Timber short is what introduced me to Vivziepop. It was in early 2019, months before the Hazbin Hotel pilot released.

It's so interesting how many unreleased works Viv has. I wonder if she would ever try to pursue them, it would be interesting if she even pursued SpindleHorse further and had it be a studio dedicated to all of her works.
I am certain Viv will likely try to make Timber a full show once Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are complete. And if she still has time and energy, maybe have another go at the Zoophobia webcomic. Though we might have to wait like five or so years until then.

Uh Yo. Somebody who worked on both Timber and Die Young here. Nothing crazy behind the scenes during the short, I just wanted to say that I had NO idea about the production company scamming Viv out of money while trying to get Timber off the ground. So many things would have been different if she had worked with a more honest and on the level company. Then again, if that were to happen we wouldn't get HH and HB. Aw well, the things we could do in a world where time machines exist.
I think maybe Hazbin and Helluva would still be conceived and be brought to fruition.

I remember when i first came across that video. It was really well animated and really creative. Especially with its message to stand up against others who judge you for being different.
I really hope just with Zoophobia, she can pick this back up at one point because this project definitely deserves a spotlight like her other projects.
Also Ayy, the purple owl like creature and the creature with the blonde ponytail and three eyes that Timber first befriended are named Quincy and Maggie respectively. Just wanted to let you or others know 😉
I bet the two would have greatly help and support Timber's journey in whatever she was trying seek and achieve!

brrooooooo this so sad i’m sure all of her fans would’ve loved to see a project just like this one. Maybe someday she can go back to working on it if she truly wanted to or if she had any time but as of now we have the hazbin hotel series that’s coming out soon and the rest of helluva boss and all of her existing shorts on her channel that we can binge watch while she makes new episodes for the shows we already love. keep up the good work ❤

I don't know this creator.. but from what I guess after the episode 1-8 nightmare if Vivzie makes enough money on Hazbin I'm sure she'll do her best to bring life to her other series. It takes a lot of dedication to do what she is doing.
Why didn't she try to sue the company that scammed her? I mean, she has every right to do so, right?
Maybe she just didn’t have the time to mess around with lawsuits, or she didn’t have the money for lawyers while working on her other projects, idk though, to me, the time one seems more likely.

shiiit timber was the first viv's short i saw (and it was one of the shorts that made me want to go into animation a couple of years back!
I remember Timber was the animated short that introduced me to Vivzies channel before Hazbin Hotels pilot dropped. I hope she'll try pitching Timber again but i wish the multiple eye thing stayed...it was a really cool design feature

As someone who isn't a fan of vivzie's works, the Timber short always stuck out to me as the best work Vivzie has made. It's geniunely heartbreaking to see this project go into the gutter. The concept is gripping and has *the* best character designs out of her whole catalogue. I hope to God one day Timber becomes a reality, because it looks so goddamn cute 🥺

The actual short was always my favorite growing up ❤ my art style started out honestly as a lower-quality knock-off type of her Viv’s art because I watched the video so much 😂

Honestly it dosnt seem like an issue of cancaling, but more overscope. All of these storys are giant and epic, multi series. You can only strech yourself so thin before things start to break.
Like, I love wrighting storys but I've had to shelve so many because the notes just become a complicated criss cross mess. I dont even want to think about how much worse it gets with 3 to 4 entire crews to deal with.
I knew it the people complaining about how many projects she shelves really do have unrealistic expectations

The idea of Timber being for all ages is what annoys me more about the show being shelved. Considering how often people bash on Viv for her Seth Rogen/South Park kind of humor, and how it's present in BOTH Hazbin and Helluva Boss, Timber would have been amazing just for being the prove that she can make a show without that kind of tone.
Most that are active fans of Viv know that she is more than capable of that, especially now that Hazbin's season 1 is out, both that and Helluva Boss's best moments are its serious character-driven moments. But i think Timber would have been this way to prove to outsiders that yes, Vivzie's work is much more than F-bombs and sex jokes.
So many forgotten projects that would’ve made such great series
To me, this story makes me think of her progress as well. She has so many wonderful Ideas, but nothing will ever go right, there are specific things you need to make things like this happen and she can't just make them appear.
I'm glad she is able to go through with Hazbin, it can give us hope that one day she will get to finish these projects. After all, if the series does well then more people will be willing to work with her.
I hope vivsie can persevere and her world/art can be injoyed by many people/animals/beings 😊😊😊

Okay YALL, in 6:00 you can see the girl wearing top of her dress similar to millie, while the one eyed guy has a bow and suit, loke moxxi. I like to think that the characters were kinda reused seeing the personalities are also similar (While I think the guy's design contributed to angel's later on). Just my observation though.

I remember always watching the timber short, when I was in elementary school, I wanted to watch it again and it took like several wrong tries for me to spell timber right so I could find it again 😭
I had no idea this short was going to become a series, that's really cool. Shame it got shelved, because vivzie is only working on hazbin and Helluva now which are both adult shows, a family friendly show would've been nice too

When I watched Timber, I was 7/8/9. Watching this short is what made me decide I wanted to start drawing and become an animator, just like Viv. I still have the same exact dream at 16, and although she’s not perfect, I’m grateful for Viv’s work, because it awakened the fire in me. 🫶

I don't remember where I found the name but I the character on the left at 5:30 is called "Earth". I asked Viv in a patron call in late 2021 about her but she didn't want to talk about it but called her "The Earth's Spirit".

I don’t think everyone understands how hard getting a project off the ground is. Many major studios have picked up ideas and concepts to only be tossed aside in the end. For her as an independent creator to have gotten one of her projects off the ground is amazing and should be applauded.
Vizz is also super lucky she knows everything that happens further on the story while we are stressing Stolas will die or Stolas is gonna end the deal with Blitzo 😩

Why didn't VivziePop finish the webcomics about ZooPhobia?
When VivziePop was developing the pilot for Hazbin Hotel, she was busy and didn't have time to finish the ZooPhobia comics. But now VivziePop was focusing only on Helluva Boss, and the webcomic and web series about ZooPhobia would be released later or in the future.
