I'm the gay cousin, the gay sister, the gay in the family - AND PROUD. Came out to my friends when I was 12-13, to my parents at 17, and now I'm 21 y/o and have no clue or courage to come out to my grandparents. I don't know why, but it kinda seems scarier because they are "elders" (?)

I'm 14 and I came out to my parents as bisexual two weeks ago...they had a better reaction than what I thought. It's incredible how I've had less panic- anxiety attacks since that day (I've also been less depressed).

So I go to an all girl and boys schools and we had these friends over and they were talking about how my mum said that me and my sisters weren't allowed to date any boys in highs school and my sisters were complaining but I was ok with it because I am gay so if I got a girl friend I can just tell my mum that she said I wasn't allowed to have any "boyfriends" 😂

When I first came out it was only to friends, I was petrified to tell my family because we aren't really that close and my mom isn't really the kindest person. When I finally started to tell people I felt like a whole new side of me was coming out and I could finally be who I felt inside. Eventually I started to get worried that my brother, who is in the same grade as me, would hear about it and tell my mom. One day my mom was driving me home from something and she kept pestering me about boys. I got so frustrated that I blurted out " I don't like Brendan because he's not a girl!". Needless to say I don't get pestered about boys anymore. The only problem I have is that my mom tries to use my sexuality to get attention. She'll make posts about it or try to talk about it in very public places and it just makes me so pissed off and uncomfortable. Regardless of that aspect, I do still think I'm better off out of the closet than hiding under all my "dirty laundry".

Everyone who I've told before has just been like, "I'm not surprised" or "I know, it's kinda obvious". My stepmom told me "I snoop in your room a lot and I found your little note" (the note being who I knew/know I could come out( "I told your dad and he was like, 'OK'".
I hope I could have the courage to come out.. But I'm getting it somehow. Thank you Cris and Virgo for inspiring me and making me feel everything's gonna be okay ❤️
I was very scary and nervous to come out to my friends but they all were veryyy supportive 🙌🏽 but when I told my mother she just doesn't accept it I mean she didn't rejected me she just act like I never told her.

I came out to my mom 5 years ago (and she kind of already knew), she told my dad, my twin sister probably always knew, I told my oldest little sister a year after coming out to my mom and I was so sure that she already knew (guess what? She had no idea, and she didn't take it well at first because it was while I was texting her, could have done that better TT), and my other little sister learnt it from my other sisters (and she was like "Oh? Cool!"). I know that some of my extended family knows, but I don't exactly know who knows and who doesn't. Oh, and my grandma still asks sometimes my mom if I have a boyfriend. Nop, oups. I'll figure out one day how to explain it to her XD.
