When drilling holes in steel. The reason the bit was screaming was: you need to use cutting lube of some sort, and the bigger the bit the slower you turn it. For say 3/8 and larger your belt on the drill press should be on the top pulleys.

I had to look up what a Subaru Sambar is and I am thoroughly impressed, what a cool van.
My only regret is I do not have the funds to order one and have it shipped to Maine in the USA.

Coolest wrecker ever!! The boom turned out amazing. I'm no engineer, but maybe some bracing at the bend as well as some lateral bracing? I'm sure you're still dialing it in. That thing is seriously so cool.

Great episode on an inspired build. Once you drive that thing on a trail, you are going to throw rocks at climbs looking at the sky over the hood of a jeep.
