I really dont think Kelly Kelly's Kelly kick was that bad.. dunno why everyone hated it 🤔
It looks like a lazier way to do a FameAsser.
I think it just didn't look painful enough and part of that was because Kelly was so light and thin. Even against other women, Kelly's calf across someone's back just didn't look impactful. as a fameasser across the neck with more of her body above it, way more intense.
As it's said, doesn't look impactfull enough. It'd be ok as a normal move or the one to set up for the actual finisher but otherwise I like it, looks cool.
I thought it was awesome. What is people’s problem? The move is perfectly fine. And the move is fine as a finisher.

Not gonna lie, I don’t hate the Lightning Fist. The issue is that it would’ve worked better had Cena been a heel.
I watched the ppv live when he performed it. Looked like some Jackie Chan-like finisher and I never hated it at first and I still don't. And it's kinda funny that they added that move as Cena's finisher in WWE 2k20

Ya know the Berzerker, there's something there that can be wholly different today, but still rooted in tradition.
For example, one of my absolute favs growing up, though i only saw him sporadically here in the states, was Stan Hansen. Stan was a complete hoss, a f'n lunatic lol, and in a way, had THREE finishers.
His main was of course The Lariat, basically JBL's clothesline from hell. He'd sometimes blast his opponent with it next to the ropes, & they'd go over the top and were done, 10 count, match over. However, just because i found it hilarious, i think the 3rd way He'd end a match was my fav, but it can also be VERY effective in building a character if used properly; notice i didn't say finisher cuz He'd LOSE the match lol, but it's cuz He'd just use his bare hands to friggin strangle the dude and not let go, forcing the ref to DQ him lol... but it reallt helped establish that this guy was DANGEROUS and was putting fear into the next guy he'd feud with.
It may be too late now, but i think a guy like KILLER (Karrion...smh) Kross could really adopt the count out win and the "gets way over as a menace but technically still lost" throttling of the throat lol....
I don't know how you dont kill a person with this, but if he could do his suplex (i think doomsday saito or something?) Up over the top and sending dude clean to the floor, u can really push that "MY GOD! Theres no way theyre getting up after that!," angle, along with "he only needs 3 for a pin; his opponent couldnt get up til after a 10 count, Wade!!"
Then he totally loses it, beats a guy to a pulp, but is so concerned with inflicting pain and fear, that he doesn't care if he loses, so long as he got his hands squeezed aroind a neck, boom, yet again, commentary i could hear Michael Cole, "this man is sick, he's deranged! He LOST the match, Pat, does he even care?!?!?! LET GO, KROSS, LET THE MAN GO DAMNIT!!!"
Completely shiny amd new in 2024, unpredictable, great dangerous, MENACING, unflinching heel that wants to end you as much or MORE than he wants to win --- that shit WORKS and wiuld get over very quickly

I loved Umaga, but I always thought the Samoan Spike was one of the dumbest ways for him to end a match. Literally the rest of his offense looked like such a better way to put someone down. I guess a taped up thumb to the throat would hurt like hell, but dude was the Samoan Bulldozer, so a precision strike like that didn't fit the gimmick. Should've just rolled opponents up after his big corner splashes, that's usually when it most looked/felt like he'd murdered someone!
