    Love the subleties with removing coin from fabric. Moving the coin pressed against the arm is so clever.!

    Rick, you have a new fan from France. I loved magic when I was a child but I never really practice. Three weeks ago, at 44 years old, I decided to start coin magic for fun and your videos help a lot. You take your time to give all the explanations, it’s clear, easy to follow. So thank you very much.

      Rick is a great teacher and you will learn everything you need to know. I recommend him over any one out there in the CZcams world. He is very good at what he does and a super humble down to earth guy that will help you with anything. Not sure if you have heard of him or not but David Stone lives in France and he is also a great coin magician. He's a master at misdirection. Between Rick and David you will have a great toolbox of coin work. Enjoy man 😁👍

    I prefer coin magic over card magic all the time... Everyone does cards, not as many people do coins, I think coins are easier to hook an audience... Because a lot of people resist magic but they're always interested in seeing something done with a coin... At least that's my experience

    Nice work . Me and Jay Sankey both independently came up with that pop up shuttle pass. I in Vegas when I was 15 , so 1985 but I used mine for a jumbo coin production.. Can’t remember when Jay said he came up with his. But me and Jay go way back. Thanks Rick!!

    Coin magic is hard but you make it look so effortless!Great to watch!It does actually look like real magic is happening.The video gives people something to aspire to.Its clear in the video how it’s done but doing it for oneself is a bit different.Nothing worthwhile is achieved without a little bit(or quite a lot!)Of hard work/practice.A nice performance yet again,excellent.

    Nice man! I was one of the guys that liked hand washing but didnt see a reason for doing it. But now watching this it kinda opened my eyes to a different view on it. Thanks Rick. Gary Kurtz is a great magician turned hypnotist or mentalist. Can't remember which. Also Reed went down the same path i believe.

    Your ability to hold attention is inspiring. No hard cuts in your videos. Just you explaining magic. So dope. - I'm assuming your decent with a guitar. I would love to see you release other material that can help a magician that isn't just a tutorial. Like how to best utilize a hobby for personal development 🤔

    I am a person who has never handled coin in past, I hear palming coin are better to practice with then real coins? What are the thoughts. Love you videos, keep them up.

    • @RickHolcombe
      @RickHolcombe  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for watching! You should practice with the coins you will perform with. But theres no harm in getting used to the palming positions with special palming coins. I would just make sure to upgrade as soon as possible.

  • @nyrosmith
    @nyrosmith Před 3 lety

    I really love your tutorials but I have a serious issue with this.
    I am still a beginner and of course it is usefull to reposition the coins from time to time. But until now I never had the need to do something even close as a handwash. I worked hard that my hands look natural and scratching my eyebrow of rolling up my sleeves is convincing enough that my hand is empty.
    Am I missing something fundamental here? To me this looks like unnecessary stuff that I would avoid at all costs

    • @nyrosmith
      @nyrosmith Před 3 lety

      I also often readjust my glasses as a subtle convincer because this is a very natural move for me

    • @RickHolcombe
      @RickHolcombe  Před 3 lety +1

      Just keep the context in mind. I am not a fan of handwashing to prove empty hands after the fact. But, it is a nice subtlety to add in before any magic has happened when there is no focus on your hands.
      Like everything, it should be used sparingly. And keep it simple if you choose to use the technique.
      Of course, it is also up to you. You can do any of these techniques without the handwash.
