  • The lowest of low budget productions, this film is a testament to some select peoples all having the same goal- Displaying our individual talents as a collective, while trying to make a film that we can all be proud of. With never more than 3-4 people behind the camera and 1-2 in front (and with a year in post-production) we were determined to simply try and tell an interesting story with interesting people in an interesting way.

    Great video! I will say that this is exactly why John needs someone to confide in and love him for who he is, not the hero people believe him to be. That could be Cameron from the show, Katherine Brewster from the movies, or someone else entirely. Someone needs to stop the General from becoming bitter, crazy, and losing hope like this

    • @deep1umbra
      @deep1umbra Před 5 lety +6

      I agree, though it doesn't have to be a romantic love interest. I liked the idea put forth in the old '95-'96 Malibu comics that Danny Dyson grows up to be John's best friend, battle-brother and confidant. It would be a great way to tie up threads from T2.

    • @jakubchmielecki4041
      @jakubchmielecki4041 Před 2 lety +2

      In terms of love. I've always seen Cameron as the best choice for John from every single one possible. Kate Brewster or any other 'human woman' seems to be too plain IMO. The relationship of John and Cameron actually has a profound story that never bloomed enough to be the most beautiful flower of the Terminator Franchise. Before John meets Cam in school, he is still just a 'weird kid' for whom, living on society is practically impossible because of being Skynet no.1 enemy and can only trust his unpredictable mum. At first, he sees Cam only as an useful ally, but after some time, we definitely see his inner conflict with Sarah's influence and his common sense, when he spends more time with her, because he realises, that Cameron could definitely be someone more than protector, or even more than friend, someone to confide in, someone who can possibly love him and never leave him. Throughout the whole TSCC, John and Cameron are actually both learning about each other. Cameron learns by John's explanations about humanity, dreams and empathy, but by providing explanations to her, John also learns himself about these things again, so he would never forget that he is only a human after all. A very tragic human, whose life, since being just a kid, has always been an uneven horror, filled with sudden deaths of his beloved ones (Uncle Bob, Riley and Derek). A pure survival and escape, but paradoxically, the very thing he is supposed to run from and fight with (Cameron), becomes the object of his fascination and feelings. If their relationship was properly used in further movies instead of Genisys od Dark Fate, I think that this Franchise could be much more succesful than it is now. Hell leave everything after salvation, and instead of that produce further seasons of TSCC.
      Actually, now I imagine how T-Salvation script would be redone so instead of Bale's John and B.D.Howard's Kate Connor, there would be Dekker's older Connor and Glau's Cameron Connor as his wife, who obviously would never get pregnant like Kate, but they would have Savannah Weaver as their adopted daughter.

    First time I've seen this, really good. I love the plot twist, it's makes total sense and adds to John's character. The idea of John actually the one behind sending the original T800 is very interesting, would love to see this in a future James Cameron Terminator movie. I would have this being the true Terminator 4, the movie should be called that. Salvation, Genisys and The Sarah Connor Chronicles happened but are from alternate timelines and altered futures, with the premious of time travel you can do a lot with a movie's universe.

    This short film could make an excellent TV series "The Chronicles of John Connor" with different actors to embody the hero according to the times and age of John Connor. I know that the previous series "Terminator: Sarah Connor's Chronicles" is to stop prematurely, but I think there is really potential around this short film for a TV series.

      A Rock & Roll Fable Your welcome man, like you said in terms of a sequel you could follow a different path, in the 1st draft of the T2 script a couple of scenes got cut from the script for budget, one of which showed not only the defeat of Skynet, but how Reese and The Terminator were sent back through time in the 1st film, here it is: www.scifiscripts.com/scripts/T2-OmittedScenes.txt

    A fan made film that's better than Dark Fate, Genisys, T3, and Salvation! How is this possible in only a short film of a few minutes? Well a fan knows what fans want to see as a natural progression of the story I guess....I mean I know! James Cameron, Tim Miller, Jonathan Mostow, and Joseph McGinty Nichol need to see this!

    I thought about this once having put my self in these hypothetical shoes : with all that i suffer just to see a victory that leaves desolation and death , i thought this a more likely scenario , skynet lost but so did humanity , ergo better never to have lived , logically your film is flawless . Far more in keeping with the original than it's sequels philosophically

  • @pablofsi

    Really awesome job! I like how you depicted John Connor in some parts and some parts not, like, the fact that he is a warrior with so much fierce on his eyes when on the battlefield, I just don't like the always present whispering on his voice like Bale's representation, I think Connor would have more greatness than that. Also, the fact that he seems a little bit disrespectful and to relativize others deaths. He would be very sad and not just kick someone that is dead and keep eating while he walks away. I didn't like a few things but aside from those your work is amazing, and the guy that plays Connor should be considered for Hollywood acting. Pretty good short film, congrats!

    One question: If John already sent a T-800 to protect Sarah, why does he need Kyle to protect her? Could you please clarify?

    • @arockrollfable1050
      @arockrollfable1050  Před 6 lety +6

      Riasat Salmin Sami yes of course. John sent the T-800 in a moment of haste and when later reflected the fact that he should not interfere with the course of human history, he sends Kyle Reese back to stop his mistake

    • @RiasatSalminSami

    What a plot twist! John Connor sends back the first Terminator to 1984 to kill his mother before he is born, and inadvertently, causes his mother to be made aware of future events. Temporal mechanics can be quite the mind job. Amazing job, and I look forward to seeing more work from you in the near future!
