Geese are all bluff. They have no teeth, horns, claws, spurs, or spikes. Their beaks are actually bills -- round and smooth, not sharp or pointed.
When a goose flies at you, you can simply catch the goose by the neck and send it away in a different direction.
It must be embarrassing to react like you are being attacked by a bear when the attacker has no teeth, horns, claws, spurs, spikes, or sharp beak.

The worst thing to do is run away from it. When you do that, the goose believes it's dominant over you and will attack you even more. Face it, stand your ground, open your arms wide as if they are wings and stretch out your fingers to give them the appearance of claws. Start walking slowly towards it and growl and roar with as deep as voice as you can muster. Doing this makes you look like a menacing predator. Never turn your back to it.

That's about the right time right there. Nest built late March/early April. Eggs hatch after 28-35 days. Family hangs for a while until goslings are ready to fly. Then they'll disappear. They may come back late August/early September, but that depends.

First thing you have to do, is get on the ganders good side first. A bag of oats works really well for this. The most important thing: NO FAST MOVEMENTS. Geese are very reactive to fast movements, and it can trigger them to attack or flee. They don't feel threatened when you move slow.

A goose tried to intimidate me, biggest mistake the goose made picking on someone who very capable of dealing with it.. I ended up pushing it away at first, and it came again trying to bite me, but my next response taught it a lesson, I kicked it and it backed away, and when I went to go towards the goose, the goose would back away from me.. I showed the goose I was the dominant one and it was I who showed it, I was in control not the goose.😊👍 but the aim is never to physically hurt the goose. just slight physical push or a very light gentle kick is sufficient to establish dominants over the goose.😊
