Thank you all for being here & sharing your thoughts! :) I do want to point out, I was being sarcastic about when I said "how did they get that kind of music out there" so I promise I'm not ignorant and naive! All my country friends growing up were hardcore hip hop heads. You guys are awesome, & I'm glad to share this music journey with you!

Im 53 and live on the coast of nc. Group up listening to ALL the old school rap.... these guys are bringing back some oldddd vibes ;) Just because we live in a rural, farm area doesnt mean we arent cultured. Weve lived mirrored lives of a lot of old school rappers... just a little different.
This man is a '90s hip hop head. I was born in 88 My first album I bought as a kid was Master p the last Don it was a double disc set and I'm from a small town in Alabama It's just a matter of what you're around and your influences and what grabs your attention at that age and you fall in love with it
It gets there cause it's all we had. I grew up in Santa Fe, a small Texas town especially back in the 90s, you either join the military, become a refinery worker or a criminal. Nothing much to do growing up besides, football, parties and music. I grew up on Tupac, Pantera and Hank Williams Jr.
To answer your question on how artist like DMX and Tupac circulate to our small towns? simple: HASTINGS BOOKS AND RECORDS (Hastings Entertainment). In the late 90s...On Friday nights, you'd put on your Weekend wranglers and "going out" felt Hat...then meet your friends at the local Mr. Gatti's to grub. Once everyone shows up, you all head over to Hastings to run thru the new music section looking for the next Album to take a chance on. Drop 18 bucks on some dude name Jay-Z and everyone heads out to the Field party and take turns throwing in your new albums in Bubba's Boom box while BS'ing all night and watching all the girls run around in their Rocky Mountain Jeans until the local sheriff shows up to shut the party down for the night.
I just Love Love Love your reactions! Adam got me into Rap and turned me on to so many more rappers AND now I can add another to the list JamWayne... He is Fire!!!
I understand not knowing how things circulated when we were younger, so I'm not here to hate on you for your question. I, actually very much appreciate that you are hearing the lyrics, understanding the influences and appreciating what has been created from those influences. Very very good analysis of things on this reaction.
Just subbed to your channel today and am looking forward to hearing more of your own unique take on songs and life in general. This song is definitely a banger and I appreciate the fact that Jam and Adam are bringing back the art of skill to the table of music and not the plain materialistic style that you hear from multiple other artists.
Jason Vorhies/Jason Stathom....double. Can't believe no one ever mentions the Halloween theme song the beat is based on! Freddy Krueger! Leatherface! They mention all the 80's horror icons!
Hahah yess, I definitely caught it but I was so wrapped up in the amazingness I forgot to use my words LOL. Thank you for bringing it up! Jambo & ACAL are a killer team!
"these boys herding cows and eating corn" toted guns as children to protect from all big scary shit on the farm, an to load up the table. i learned how to clean my dads guns well before i was 10, and i was 8 when he gave me my first firearm. we never owned a farm, but my grandparents did. my dad was a car guy, so, i am too.
Trust me, we were listening to rap in the Midwest as well, Northeast Oklahoma to be exact. I remember my introduction to rap came as a teenager when I found a couple of CDs on the sidewalk on my way to KMart, one was WC and the Madd Circle the other was Bone Thugs N Harmony E1999.
Was born in Woodburn Oregon and grew up in a small town in the late 80s through the 90s called John Day in Eastern Oregon an been bumping Tupac and Bone Thugs since day one.
I saw this video for the first time yesterday and been watching reactions since. Love your excitement about the beat and sound as I felt the same way. 🙂 You should check out No Problems.
Small towns still have radio stations and record stores and cable tv. It's not like everyone in a small town is unaware of what goes on in the world. What do you think kids in small towns do for fun? Watch the corn grow or play with scarecrows?
Hahah no sorry, I actually grew up with small town kids in a town that was small-adjacent! I was just trying to joke and exaggerate that it’s a wild culture difference 😅 sorry if I seemed ignorant with that one, these first reaction type videos don’t always catch my jokes well. Thanks for watching!!
I was one of those little boys that grew up in the DEEP DEEP south...this reached us through radio and MTV and BET. Yes, we jammed to Pac while cutting the grass. There's something synonymous about that culture and us poor white folks...not the violence but the struggles of trying to make it in this world.
How did we listen to rap/rock? Lol I grew up on a dairy farm till I was 20 yrs old. In my area you could find rock/metal on the radio and rap to a lesser extent. I'd buy the tapes and cd's. My brother's and I would rig up car stereos and speakers on the tractors and in the barn. I spent countless hours doing field work but I'd never head out without a case full of Pac, NWA, Nas, Scarface, Megadeath, G'n'R, Slayer etc. I think you confuse country/farmer with Amish. 😂 Loved the reaction! #GoonSquad
Wow, really. How did we hear this, wow. It was the 1980', not the 1880's . Ever heard of radio or music stores. We had to actually go to a store to buy music. I hate this generation.
