Brandon played with a rookie QB in SF and performed well for SF. He probably would play well again with another rookie QB for the Commanders.
Aiyuks ascent coincided with Purdys arrival. If you want to talk about Aiyuk becoming a big time WR, you have to credit Purdy.

Why would Aiyuk wanna leave the 49ers? A team that has all the right parts going for them right now and go to either the Steelers or Commanders? Those are two teams that are in the rebuilding phase right now and neither of them will even make the playoffs this year.

If I was the 49ers Id want to trade him. They drafted another WR in the first this year. They got a loaded roster. Aiyuk is likely leaving after this year anyways, as its obvious 49ers dont want to pay him. If the 49ers can get a 1st round pick in exchange why not? Gives them alot of draft stock for next year. And they are still completely stacked for this season.

Hardman was traded with a 7th for a 6th in return, cheap, not close to caliber of WR of Aiyuk. The interests are not aligned at all, Aiyuk is looking for a multi-year deal for value of mid-to-high $20's (so Pat would have to give up way more than a few million), Aiyuk doesn't want to be traded for one year wo a new contract, and 49ers aren't going to trade him without a decent return. Also Chiefs don't really need him - sorry, no chance of happening.
