Amazing video . I was amazed at how remote it seemed to be in a lot of the flying. Not a boat in sight in most of it. I guess I just figured boats would be everywhere. Thank you for the vid's and I hope to make a trip like that one day
Thanks! Yes, The Out Islands of the Bahamas are a great place to fly, boat, etc. They really have a great balance of fun towns and salty wilderness. You've gotta get there.

I am very heavily considering an Aventura II as my first plane. How many stops did you have to make to reach your destination in the Bahamas from Fl? Did you fly direct to Bimini first? Also, I love the song at 11:50

Great video! I have a place on Normans Cay. Looking at an Aventura to keep there in a hanger. As you know...lots of wind. You you ind sharing what you believe to be is a good wind /wave limit considering some time in the aircraft? Any info in operations in the Bahamas is much appreciated. Thanks!!
+Erik Vogt Thanks! We had a lot of fun over there. As far as operating in the Bahamas, they make it very easy. I think you'll eventually have to bring the plane out of the Bahamas for a day and then renew your cruising permit when you reenter, if you didn't want to import it into the country. As far as flying characteristics, The Aventura will fly fine in 25 knots, but a lot more fun if it's less than 15 knots. From what everyone says, you can land in one foot seas, but the most we've seen was probably 6 inches. They really are fun planes.
The Aventura is generally much cheaper, has a bigger storage compartment and has a greater useful load, but the Seareys do have some great features of their own. They have a sliding canopy, heavier built, more available options, easier to find, bigger community(better pilot and builder support), and most think they look better. As far as flying they are both the same, slow and fun.
Wow that looks like so much fun! How do you treat your plane after saltwater use? I know the Aventura isn't a $100K plane but is corrosion a worry? Or for the price and life of the plane is it just worth it to take it out in the beautiful saltwater islands? These videos are great! Keep it up!

It's not a problem, just a little more maintenance, a freshwater hose, salt away and a lot of corrosion block. It's definitely worth it!

Amazing scenery but a kind suggestion... Change the music to something soothing and lite that matches the amazing views.
It would have been a much more watchable video if varying camera angles hade been used. It's more or less the same shot all the way through.
