My only visit to England in late June for a month in 2007, I was dodging severe thunderstorms, hail, rain the entire visit. The Regency townhouse basement I was staying in started to flood one morning - knocked out the hot water heater. The owners were abroad for the weekend. Made it Very memorable. But then growing up in the Pacific Northwest - it just reminded me of home.
I wanted to thank you so much for your posts. My 95 year old dad loves watching them. He was always a great walker (as am I) but sadly he is pretty much immobile now due to chronic arthritis and he so misses his walks. I have been watching your videos with him and he looks forward to them. He feels it’s just like he and I are taking a walk together like we used to but without the sore feet 😂. You have really lifted his spirits, especially as he has had to shield for a year.
This make my mood better this friday morning. I'm listening this heavy rain while finishing some works and enjoying some shots of coffee. It's awesome 😃
Nothing like a walk in a decent thunderstorm...love the sound of thunder & rain, and flashes of lightning (as long as they're not too close!). But I will never understand why so many people think a cheap folding umbrella will be sufficient protection from heavy rain. You need to beef up your rainy day arsenal, people! A good waterproof (not "water-resistant" or "showerproof") raincoat is a must, as well as a good pair of rubber boots, unless you like wringing out soaking wet pants & socks!
