    Thank you for sharing this video with us the general public and enthusiasts. It is a most interesting and exciting project that you have at Boston Lodge.
    I'm always impressed with the professionalism and excellent management of the FF&WHR from both the staff and volunteers. As someone who is involved with a heritage railway myself I know what a challenge running a place such as this can be.
    On a side note I think that all railways and many business have a room not unlike your building H6. I certainty was not expecting to see a 1st Gen DMU controller in a video about Boston Lodge!
    I wish you every success with your endeavours. Keep up the good work. :)

    Thank you for a good video, I first went to the railway in 1963 with my school teacher ( Mr Winters). And live in Canada, keep up the good work.

    Paul; This is a fabulous bit of work. I've THROUGHLY enjoyed following you through the explanation of the project. "Not Hollywood" ? Thank God - Far far better. (Great camera work though- so credit where due). Certainly plenty of work- but a well thought and realistic plan. Particular congratulations over your recognition of the standing of H6 !!! Totally agree.( No PHYSICAL upper access but "saturation " with client controlled Hi -Res CCTV and monitors ? "pointers" of course! ) I need to watch this over again ! "Diolch yn Fawr" ? Definately.

    absolutely fascinating video! It's amazing to think of what the FR has done, the initial reopening, the battle to get back to Blaneau, the Welsh Highland; this project has some distinguished predecessors on the FR.

    i have read about the restoration work thats about to be done at Boston Lodge in a copy of steam railway, its nice that the Ffestininog railway is going to build a new engine shed to keep the quarry hunslets like Linda and Blanche safe

    Why does the clock have letters and not numbers? Above merddyn emrys.

      The letters spell out 'jolly good fun' which is a phrase used on the FR when everything is going wrong, it's raining and you left your lunch behind. Often shortened to JGF, it was poplular during the building of the deviation.

    What and whose is the little building on the other side of the road?

      @FfestiniogWelshHighland  Před 4 lety +2

      It is the old toll house which I believe belongs to Gwynedd Council.

      Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways what is it used for today? Wouldn’t it makes little guest house for lodge visitors?
