The ump was terrible everything had to over the ctr of the plate. For. Oklahoma to get a call
OK, I don't care what Patty said concerning Pickering not tagging at 3rd base. You've been playing softball since you could walk. Less than 2 outs, fly to outfield YOU TAG! Patty could've been pulling the helmet off my head and I wouldn't have budged one inch off that base until that ball was caught or hit the ground! And Patty! You have got to be better than that! Less than 2 outs, fly to outfield YOU TAG! Didn't cost us the game but cost us serious momentum. Boone, come on! Play-it one hope and let her have a single! Trying to do too much! Now let's go win this game tomorrow!
Two badly-executed plays. No reason for Pickering to leave 3rd base until the Texas centre fielder touched the ball. With two outs and no base runners, there was no reason for Boone to attempt a catch of what became an inside the park homerun. Pitching was not the problem. Momentum was the problem for the Sooners.
The ump was killing us. It felt like our pitchers were forced to throw down the middle of the zone all game 🙄

Two points: 1. You cannot come out & not be energized. I never sensed that.2. A lesser team beat us today because we played bad defense & no run support for Nicole. Not at all in sync. Tomorrow will tell the tale.
I am a sooners fan and think they are in trouble. The other pitcher as we have seen batters can still hit her. Only difference is the defense did a great job getting the outs or the pitcher would get a strike out to get out the inning. You play with fire you eventually get burned. They are struggling to push runs across. I hope they win obviously but wouldn't be surprised if they lost. Keep being the Jennings show.
So OU could potentially play 5 games in 5 days? I know the weather played a role and can’t be helped today.

THERE WERE WAY TO DAMN MANY WALKS DID I MENTION THERE WERE WAY TO DAMNN MANY WALKS BY SOONER PITCHERS !!!!!!!!!! I have to agree with Coach Gasso. She cannot Have Maxwell teach every game. I have seen Nicole and Deal pitch good games. Stanford was going to pitch Nija every game. Stanford is 21 dimensional that way. Florida appears to be pitching Roth rock. Every pitch now she came apart the last inning, 3 or 4 walks. The sooner bats didn't or couldn't or something respond, Hell, The gators outfield can't catch Even when the ball hits their gloves. When was the last time you saw Riley Boone or Jay to Coleman? drop a fly ball and more to the point in the same game???? answer never. Good hell Jayda climbs halfway over the fence to catch them. The umpires seemed unfair. But you can't bitch about that too much. You have to win the things that you can win. This was the worst played Sooner softball game that I have seen. I just hope the sooner batch show up for the rematch., I have no doubt you guys will get this fixed. BOOMER SOONER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wrong Kenzie. That ump was not calling pitches the same on both sides. Ump started off great, but quickly begam one of the worst of the year.
Exactly, it should of been a 3rd strike on Erickson and that would have been 3 outs instead of a walk. Then the umpire call two controversial balls to the very next batter forcing Kierston to throw a pitch she didn't and would not have thrown causing a 3 run homer. The ump was calling balls when there were strikes the whole d..m game.
It’s a mindset… like she said, control the controllable..
BTW....................yes the home ump was awful, he was awful for both teams. His awful stuff was just more harmful in those moments for OU.

As an OU fan, I just don’t know if this team is good enough to just drop the hammer like that. Streaky and lacking the killer, clutch attitude (and pitchers) from prior years.
Nicole May is terrible and always gets killed in the early innings and gives up homers. She has not improved. The only chance we have of winning is to have Maxwell pitch every game.

At least the Sooner defense Was not dropping fly balls that hit them in the glove. They did it more than once. They also did it when they beat Alabama. That is the true definition of choke. By your definition, I suppose Stanford choked against Texas just because Texas beat them by what 1 run.
Something tells me they're going to come out with a vengeance tomorrow. We've seen it happen before, when a "streak" has been broken, it's like it frees them to just play loose and happy with no expectation of maintaining perfection; just being who they are--the best of the best. And, we've seen what they usually do when beaten in game one. Like Kinzie put it... "The Sooners play best when they get punched in the mouth." 😉 This is going to be a fun game to watch. BOOMER SOONER!!! 💖🥎
