  • I caught a lucky break and landed myself back in the seat of a 621GXT front loader loading dump trucks and back filling pipe. Today's ride is the Case 621GXT loader you've seen in previous videos of the restaurant parking lot job. Due to the crew being short staffed I offered to help out. I hope you enjoy this in cab footage as much as I enjoyed running a loader again!

    Kick ass man! Wish I knew about your channel when I first started operating, everything you say in all your videos is all 100% on point about the whole earth moving industry, you just proved it’s one of those things you can say “ if you don’t know, you won’t know” 👏

      I appreciate it Omar! Part of what I love about this industry is that you learn some new trick almost every day. You never reach a point where you know it all.

    I run a front end loader working underground utilities, really love the way you work. some fine operating IQ. I was checking your mirrors every time you backed up and how you worked the windrow from the right to the left of your bucket to keep from push further out. glad to see and operator at work and not a guy that just moves the machine.

      Thank you for the compliment! That means a lot. Thanks for watching!

    This is was really cool to watch! I especially enjoyed seeing your process for clearing the spoils. When/where to backblade, when to push the dirt, where to position yourself...Never seen it from the driver's seat perspective before!

    You're intoxicated. Quit lying 😂 nah man, no homo, I love you and your videos. If everyone was like you in the industry, we wouldn't have a shortage and I wouldn't be dealing with rock truck drivers with no common sense. Thank you doing the extra work just to teach us monkeys. ❤

    Did they tell you where to make your dirt pile? Or did you pick the spot?

    • @DieselandIron
      @DieselandIron  Před 3 lety

      A little of both. We discussed it before and that was the best spot that was out of the way.

    I live in the Caribbean and have a license and certificate for all earth moving vehicles, would I be required in US to obtain some other certification or license and if so, how do I go about getting it?

    • @DieselandIron
      @DieselandIron  Před 3 lety

      No license required here in the US. If you know how to run the machines you can walk onto a job and hop in the seat. How do you like operating in the Caribbean?

      @@DieselandIron Lot of unsafe practices but got my training through the Military so I keep myself within the confines of operating procedures. Machines are abused far too often thus becoming inoperable for months.

      @@borntobewild7619 you guys have some rough digging conditions too. Aren't you pretty much digging in old coral all the time? It looks pretty miserable. Where are you in the Caribbean?

      @@DieselandIron I am in Jamaica. Our topography doesn't make it any easier. Either you have to deal with hilly terrain or areas that predominantly rocky. Old infrastructure with some jobs makes it even riskier to operate.

    what kind of job is this ? im in the sandmines i run loader all night long and im kinda looking for something like this i want something different everyday

      @DieselandIron  Před 3 lety +1

      This was a new parking lot project. If you want a good time you should get into road building and try to get on with a pipe crew. There is no downtime and you are constantly being challenged to go quicker and be more efficient. Thanks for watching!
