Watch as Mickey and Minnie point out some of the things in their new meet and greet area.
After Toontown closed down in the Magic Kingdom, Mickey Mouse needed a new place to meet his fans. On March 30, 2011, the former Exposition Hall reopened as Town Square Theater where fans can meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse "backstage" before Mickey's magic show. This is also the first character location with FastPass. Although guests don't get to actually see a magic show or theater performance here, the posters in the queue area do "magically" move. (Look for the poster featuring Oswald The Lucky Rabbit.) The Disney Princesses are also meeting guests here until the Fantasyland expansion is complete.

But for the logic of Disney and respect to the characters, they cannot expect fans to suspend disbelief to think Mickey & Minnie live in the theater now. At least with ToonTown, they had houses.

At first, I thought Mickey took us to the backstage of Magic Kingdom. But this attraction is just for meeting Mickey and Minnie! It's similar to Mickey's House in Toontown at Tokyo Disneyland. In addition, it isn't busy at all! In Tokyo Disneyland, we have to wait for 45 minutes on average to meet them. When there are too many people, we have to wait for more than 120 minutes!
That is sooooooooo cool omgoodness I am in love with the new scenery it's cool it actually makes me alot happier and can't wait to meet Mickey and Minnie in there new homes (I was sad that we lost toon town but then we would have never gotten this wonderful new place) !!!

We still prefere TOON TOWN. Mickey had a whole town now he has one back stage room. Talk about down sizing!!!
We just got back from Disneyland Paris (again), for the 20th anniversary, Mickey's dressing room is about the same but the waiting area shows Mickey toons while you wait in line.
Oswald appeared on one of the posters as the disappearing rabbit.
I have been to Disney so many times but never met Mickey or Minnie. I am destined to meet them the next time i go!

@MsDisneyMickeyMouse Magic Kingdom, in Disney World Florida. They needed a new place for guests to meet Minnie and Mickey because Toontown was being taken down and replaced with the larger Fantasyland expansion.
theyre expanding the park and the houses were very tight and crowded ,so its all for the better
I really want to see that. I have a lot of questions for Mickey and Minnie.

Yes, but they're have the characters at all the parks and logic would say that they'd have to have somewhere to stay at each park, as this location seems just like them at work, as opposed to ToonTown, where they had actual homes.
