This week I convinced my teenage daughter to subscribe to you ❤ We are both horse people who sadly live in cities. I used to English ride at sunnybrook farms here in Toronto in my youth, and my daughter did as well when she was younger. We don’t have the means or the land to have horses so we live vicariously through you and your adorable storytelling ❤
@MamaStyles Google horse stables in your city , and find out if they have lessons or lease horse's. I just found a beautiful black and white paint gelding that I am going to lease for the summer. At only 150 a month.
Do you have a Marigold ointment ?
If you get Tiny's ear cleaned you can put that on .
It helps against infection and makes it heal faster .
Have you done a horse story on Frisco Bill yet? I. Havent seen one.
@@TammySaj-zm6kr Aww Ty for the recommendation but I am terminally ill with a disease called CRPS. There’s no more riding for this gal…I’m bedbound. Hence why CZcams is a great place for those who can’t venture out but that’s a cheap deal for you ..assuming you are in the U.S? Up here in Canada (Ontario) riding is very very expensive and sadly only for those with lots of money.
Don’t you guys think it’s just awesome how well CC’s horses are taken care of ? That vet visit could not have been cheap at all !! But very necessary.
❤️🐴❤️
that's what interested me to CC. She really likes her horses and wants what's best for them, no matter the costs. other channels seem to want "likes" "ring the bell" for the money, CC is horse centric!
Yes it’s nice to see that the horses are so well looked after. CC’s doing an amazing job.
@leanneadams2549 - just awesome!
God bless you for giving your senior horses mash for their dental losses! You are taking better care of your horses than most humans I know receive. You are a Wonder Woman!
I'm trying to remember all their names:
Frisco Bill, Goose, Gus, Little Gus, Nigel, Pete, Primrose, Stewie, Stud Man, Scarlett, Skeletor, Whiplash. Is that it? Of course Huckleberry the dog and Tiny the cat. Good job taking care of that many!
I think you got them all. I believe there are 12 right now.
Correct!
I am learning so much from you! Thank you for all the tips on caring for the senior horses. Sharing your wisdom is improving the lives of a bazillion senior horses!
I hope so ❤️
@TheCleverCowgirl I am learning more as well. Having horse's in my life for 55 years, means nothing, I never knew how to float teeth or alot about the digestive track. I feel like you can learn something new everyday about horse's, even if you have had them in your life for 100 years. Thank you for showing us everything you do ❤️ 🐎
@themoons also have senior rescue horses, I've learnt alot from them also. Love The Clever Cowgirl channel
@@user-yu9lt7qb8j I watch the clever cowgirl and free spirit equestrian us also a good horse channel 😀 👍
Senior horses need love as well as their mash.
all us Seniors need a little extra ~ OOOHHH how I hate cream o wheat.......
You take such good care of your horses. You should be proud of you accomplishments with your horses
If you want to support the channel, watch the video after it is live again in full and with sound and give it a comment and then thumbs up, *! Because as far as know and was told by a one-piece-youtuber, the algorithm doesn't care to much about people watching live streams than people watching the whole video with sound and also giving it a comment and thumbs up afterwards is more important. Maybe it is understandable despite my bad English.
I didn’t see the live ? What the heck
I am live in the chat when I premiere the videos!
What great content. Thank you so much!🦷🦷
@leanneadams2549 It is more helpful for the channel to watch the complete video with sound and give it a comment and thumbs up anyway. And as you already know as well, there are settings in CZcams, the app, and in Android to turn on the notifications if there is a new video avaliable.
@@TheCleverCowgirlBummed that I missed the live stream today!
And I thought going to the dentist was uncomfortable (despite having great dentists).
Prim has an unusually eye-catching coat/coloring and Pete continues to be a stunning beauty in his own right. WOW! Prim and Frisco are soul mates, absolutely.
To be fair, every young filly Frisco meets he thinks is his soul mate😁
Ears can get the worst infections from wildlife. Glad you caught it.
I can't imagine a more beautiful backdrop for a farm! Those mountains are absolutely breathtaking 😭
Poor old guys. It really sucks getting old. I’m right with them in that. Prolly why like them so much.
Stunning scenery, especially with the sunbeams streaming through breaks in the clouds!
I had to slip that in there, beautiful!
Endlessly fascinating. Your obvious love and care for these amazing animals is truly heartwarming
Thanks for sharing the dentist visit...
When in California visit Perris auto speedway America's premier Clay oval!!! 😊 cuz
Skeletor is a rascal! He makes me giggle!! Thank you for sharing their teeth cleaning. I also hope that Tiny gets better!!
The horse dentist looks much scarier than the human dentists.
😂 very true! 😳
I listened to the majority of the video while doing horse chores. Watching again. Thanks CC for explaining how important dental/floats are for horses. Tiny...that darn cat! 😹
These horses live in a paradise on earth! Thank you for sharing the day to day of a horse barn especially with all the knowledge you have. I find it very instructive and helpful.
Little Nigel is just such a sweet boy, I hope he has a very long and comfortable life with you
Those mountain are so beautiful. Can't get enough..
I love how kind and caring you are to your horses. Every house needs an owner like you
Heh, did you call Tiny a "feLION"? Cute!
Yeah 😆 she is like a tiny lion
I call my cats, Ernie and Bert, feLions, too. Sometimes I call Ernie my ocelot cat. I think he was abandoned as a newborn because his fur suit didn't look that much like an ocelot and wouldn't sell for big money. If memory serves me well--questionable in my seventies--that appearance is created by some combination of tabby, siamese and Abyssinian. Bert looks mostly like an orange tabby, called Ginger Tiger Cat, but he seems to have some Siamese because his whiskers are black and his face is a bit dark. Bert and Ernie are foster brothers born three days apart. My vet was super impressed by how well they were raised by the kitten rescue. Ernie and Bert were well-socialized and physically healthy. It is heartening to see so many big-hearted, capable animal lovers making videos. Many people are feeling more and more love in their lives because of this. I do feel great hope for this world as we, as a society, open ourselves to our animal brethren. Thank you, most excellent and clever cowgirl and your wonderful followers.
Wow! First time I have seen horse dentistry.
It seems fairly intense! She takes such good care of her animals. ❤
@DianeStrickland - CC also has another dental video here on her channel
first time I've seen horse teeth so up close 😮
Check out this video, it explains it a little better! czcams.com/video/w9gai2VPdh8/video.htmlsi=D46y0S7fRhTAu_Z4
Ty CC!! I'm really Loving these bonus video links!! Tysm! 💖🙏
So great to see you giving your old timers the care and consideration they deserve! I hope other young horse people will learn from your example, as it's a great kindness to ensure proper feeding and nutrition, especially in stoic horses who mask their discomfort.
Thanks for all the work preparing the videos you have many fun horses to get to know! 😊
Trying to keep an outdoor centric cat healthy is hard when they think they are invincible. The horses are beautiful and the setting isn’t bad either. Good luck with the weather.
These animals are so loved and well taken care off.
Entertaining, educational, and relaxing as always. I find myself happily listening to you talk about tooth floating and watching sedated horses. It’s all good❤️
He's a good baby!
You are so kind to all your animals...bless you.
Sweet Tiny girl ❤❤ 🐈 ❤❤
I don't know about anyone else, but, I was totally delighted in the turd train and turd pile. Lol. That absolutely made my day. Hahaha
Tiny is a very special feline 🐈😺.
After all that you had to do this episode, I hope your hubby made supper so you could take a breather. Hope you are enjoying your Easter. As someone who grew up with farm animals, there are no holidays. ❤
Wow, owning a horse is no joke! So many important responsibilities that I did not know about, so thank you for sharing. Your horses all have the sweetest faces, even if they are rascals sometimes. My heart just melts seeing that they are so well taken care of, especially little Nigel, who still looks like a sweet baby despite his age.
You are an amazing and humane caretaker. May you be blessed. Please do let us know how Tiny fares at the vet.
Poor Tiny, hope she gets better soon. Nothing better than a barn cat. Always so independent.
Thanks for another very interesting and entertaining video. I hope Tiny's ears heal-up fast!
I love tiny and Nigel the most.
Getting that scab off and muck out of her ear will be a huge help to healing. Your such a fantastic animal carer. ❤
It looks much better today!
dying laughing psycho skeletor 😂
when clever cowgirl said psycho we all laughed out loud my son is 11 and he said well sometimes our goose acts psycho too🤠😂
I admire and appreciate that you share IT ALL 🤠 you're commentary is the best!
Thank you for a very detailed look at the day with the dentist. I'm sure that these treatments will help them stay healthy. 👍❤
Thank you so much for sharing these great videos! I love getting to know the horses and their personalities and Huckleberry and Tiny too! It is enjoyable and educational! Thank you so much!
I love the way you refer to the gang as "The Boys"! 😁 And, good job looking after all of the needs of your 4-legged family.
It's actually his eyeballs that aren't working anymore 🤣
If I get one more "cut his hair" comment I might loose it !🤣
So glad kitty and all the horses have you😊
I absolutely love your channel ❤ it’s wonderful to follow someone who loves their horses so much. This was such an interesting vlog today, thank you so much for sharing. I hope Tiny’s ear heals quickly bless her, she’s such a sweetheart. 🙏🏻
13:05 Goose's expression is probably what I look like when the hygienist is doing my teeth 😂😆🤣
I could watch this stuff all day. Thank you for saving these guys. ❤️
It must feel good to get all those horses done!
I'm so glad that you are able to do what they need
Prim’s dark colour is caused by the sooty gene, which affects the way sugar tyrosine compounds are metabolised. If you feed her some sugar beet regularly (particularly when she is changing coat) it will boost the sootiness of her coat.
ooooo, I did not know this! Time for an experiment!
no way seriously?!
I had no idea coat color could be influenced by diet. Too bad I can’t do this to make my grays darker!
Did a little reading. Turns out Molasses, alfalfa can make the sooty areas darker. Wonder if it was the shift to alfalfa over winter?
Regardless, Prim is stunning!
Sending love and quick healing for sweet Tiny.
I wish you had someone to help you, that is an awful lot of work for one person. I laugh every time I hear "Turd Train" 😂😂😂
Wow! That was an efficient day of dental care. I learn something with each video.
Love that little man - Nigel. He’s so lucky to have found you.
Thank you so much for taking us through a day in your life with your horse/pony/kitty/dog family. There is so much more than meets the eye. Just find it so interesting and educating. Never owned a horse or pony but my love for them was sparked riding ponies at the age of 8 yrs at the Johannesburg zoo which was my favourite outing Sundays with Mum. Now in my 60's your show intrigues me so much more. Bless America. Take care much love.💞 🐕 🐾 🐎 🐈
I hate the dentist, but if these horses can do it, I can😂😘
61k subs, if you aren't creeping up on a million by this time next year I will be shock. You go girl!
This is great video so funny horses playing you up and keep you on your toes. Hope summer time behave for you. ❤
You’re living the life I dreamed about some 40 years ago. Thanks so much for sharing.
I had to laugh at Gus and Pete being full of nonsense. LOL
Boy, does this remind me of the days getting the mulies' teeth floated. Since my boss raised them as pasture pets, I'd have to run out with a bucket of oats the get all 10 into the pen and not get squished. We only used a file, and the dental tech was pretty darned strong! Tiny's ear may get a hematoma, but with some warm water, time and maybe clavamox, he should do fine! Nigel's forelocks make him look like a Shetland -- uveitis is very difficult so love him while you have him.
It already is a hematoma 🤦♀️ I am guessing she will ned a few little sutures to help it heal along w the antobiotic. It is looking like Tiny will get a break from her barn duties while she convalesces at my house!
@@TheCleverCowgirlWill that be hard for her to be away from the barn and her horses, or will she enjoy the extra luxury? Has she had to be away before? If so, how did she handle it then?
Tiny is one spoiled and cute Barnie! Happy healing!@@TheCleverCowgirl
I hope Tiny is ok! Maybe the Vet will give her an antibiotic.
Great video as usual!
Blessings to you and yours on this wonderful Easter Sunday. Jesus has Risen!
Another wonderful video! Your storytelling and style are completely enjoyable, and I eagerly await each new video. You work so hard, and it’s obvious that you love what you’re doing, and have a great knowledge!!
So much work. You’re a good manager of your horses. 👍
Everyone gets top-notch care at your barn! It's wonderful! ❤
They KNEW they were going to have to see the DENTIST!
What a great horse lady you are. You think of everything pertaining to love and care for your animals.
FYI: I use a Worx leaf mulcher to shred hay for a senior horse of 32. The mulcher comes with .080 weed cutting string but that skinny string barely cuts the hay. So I carefully drilled out the holes where the string goes to .105. The hay is shredded really well and my horse can easily chew it. I use the square weed trimming string. I cut the length at 15.5 inches. Hope that helps.
I’ve thought about getting one of those! I used a chainsaw in the past but found the soaked pellets work better at preventing choke on the ones with lots of missing teeth!
My friend has a 30 year old rescue horse who has pretty much lost all of his molars. She also uses a leaf mulcher to cut the hay into pieces. It’s becomes almost like Haylage. He gets all the leafy parts of alfalfa and he does very well on it.
So good to see little Nigel, I think he gets better fed than I do…
Very informative and very interesting. Thank you. And, thank you for taking such good care of your critters. Love Tiny! She's a sweetie, although the gophers probably don't think so.
Thx so much for the up-close dental shots! Very nice. Also learned alot, never knew to ask the vet to balance the incisors. I will do so this year. Was a busy and productive day for sure! Cheers from N. Texas and have a great week. ❣️🍀
Over the 35 years that I rescued and cared for horses, I also did not know that the Vets should be balancing the incisors. Vets are different everywhere.
Definitely.
@@cathywhite4019Around here it's the dentists with all the expertise. A lot of vets either didn't bother with teeth or didn't do as thorough a job as the dentist. Not sure if that's changing though with the newer generation of vets. Also if the horse needs sedation it's a lot easier to have the vet there to do whatever's necessary. Dentists can't give drugs.
Some will flat out refuse to do it. Best to have a dentist that is always staying up to date with what is best for the horses!
I found that it’s very hit or miss to find vet who will do teeth adequately. They basically learn to file them, but not to align them or balance them. My horse had a parrot mouth and could not chew his grain properly or even sit a bit properly in his mouth.
I finally found an equine dentist, who actually had to trim his overbite and take other measures to line up his molars. He was in much better shape after the dentist got through with him. It also improved his TMJ.
You are awsome at explaining all the Dental work and feeding of all ages of horses.
Nice to join you in your ‘adventures’.
This was such an interesting video. Just to see some of the equipment used and what their teeth look like. Thank you and your dentist for letting us in the stall with the horses during care.
Thanks for caring about your herd
I thought you meant the horse dentist wanted to snuggle 😮
She got some snuggles in with the horses too!
The whole process of dental care for most of the horses was practically a near day’s worth of work. It took time just to get these horses positioned and then treated followed by putting them out to recover. Then they are monitored for full recovery then put out to eat. Good to hear from you as to why you are looking out for potential mishaps with water and food. Most of is not obvious for the non horse people. Before seeing these videos, I never realized the importance of horse dental care.
Like a psycho…….🤣🤣
I knew nothing about horses until I found this channel. Amazing how much knowledge you must have and the hard work
Turd train! lol
Very informative on horse's dental health. I haven't seen other channels discuss in detail this process. I hope Tiny's ear isn't infected!
I learned a lot of horse stuff! Thank you!
We're doin the same. Horse dentist comes once a year...more often if necessary.
What a busy day! I hope Tiny is ok!
Thank you for being kind to all the animals, cheers from England.
What a busy day. It was interesting to see the dental care.
ah, good reminder that my herd is due for their floats!
I'm very impressed on how well you take care of your horses. It was nice to watch the horses getting their dental work done. Thank you for another great video. 🐎🐎🐎🐎
What a Wonderful Resurrection Day surprise, and such a lovely gift! Thank you for All that you do CC! We truly Love you and your majestic, beautiful horse babies, Tiny and Huckleberry too! Haha Huckleberry made me laugh, he seemed a little nervous today. He knew something was going on and he didnt want Any part in that! Oh No the Vet is here!? Im taking off to gopher hunt Far out in the field! 😄❤️🙏
Lovely, informative video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us. We have learned so much from you. ❣️❣️❣️
I have never seen a horse dental before and I found it interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Great video today! Love to be with you at the barn even if it's a video. Thank you horse girl! ❤
Frisco Bill looks like he’s saying that all the pretty stars and sparkly fireworks are still circling around him!
Thankyou for sharing your beautiful horses. I just love your videos ❤❤❤❤
You are a very good four legged mum❤🎉😊
Love learning from your knowledge of critters! Another awesome video!! Thank you!!
The care you give is amazing. I can't imagine the cost of horse dental care visits!!! (Poor little Whiplash having a rough go with the drugs.)
