My church has been using FreeShow for almost a year now and have debated on switching to ProPresenter many times. However, we don’t see the need as FreeShow does everything we need. I have recommended it to so many people who have used it for many events, like high school graduations. Every Sunday, I get excited when I see that there’s a new update. Thanks for making such a great piece of software.

If you imported a local file, the book names displays the names from the xml file. You can change them manually by editing the file in the Documents/FreeShow/Bibles folder, open the .fsb files in Notepad.
Both of them changes at once, but only the first bible in the selection shows preview currently. They will automatically be assigned to the first and second textbox in the selected template.
@@konstantinslobodyanyuk838 To swap the order, you need to create a new collection, but select the other one first instead. The text in the templates will be replaced, the default templates are "Scripture", if you don't have them try to press "Reset defaults", it should be selected automatically. The arranged order of the textboxes in the template determines which content goes where.

Downloaded it tomorrow. We are having our big mid year camp tomorrow and this is going to be great!
We use PP7 for Sunday but we can't use those Computers for Camp so this is amazing.
If you added ndi and resi support, we would probably switch haha.

thank you so much for the software but i am having trouble removing a certain tab while presenting the lyrics. 1 verse or page is divided in each line of presentation.

You can add folders from the computer to the drawer, or just drag any media directly from the computer into the project or onto slides.

Maybe if the SMPTE can be converted into MTC, and read as MIDI: jazz-soft.net/doc/JZZ/smpte.html

The idea would be to receive an external SMPTE audio input (for example via a sound card or simple integrated microphone input of a PC) and indicate at what point in the timecode you switch to a certain slide.
Or alternatively, as you suggested, using a SMPTE to MIDI converter, always say that at a certain point in the timecode it sends the MIDI signal that switches to the next slide.

Great program, super user friendly, thank you.
Though it runs well most the time, the program can lock up. When adding images sometimes it'll do this, it won't respond to anything and in task manage doesn't say it isn't responding.
Also when changing text size, sometimes the numbers will glitch out constantly increasing or decreasing. The only way I have found to resolve either of these is to use task manager.
Just thought I'd mention it, I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this or if it is something already aware of.

@@freeshowapp Oh wow, sorry for the late reply, the update is great thank you! I do have one question, is it possible to transfer a project with images and video intact to another computer? Or atleast is there a way to set the files so transfer would be easier without having to readd any images?

You have to select two or more scriptures, right click, and create a new collection.
A collection behaves simular to just having one bible, but outputs all the different versions in the collection.

Beautiful, but I'm having trouble with the transition. The slide transition applied is the transition of the exiting slide, not the transition of the entering slide.
Also for image slide. The fade transition is fading to dark then fading in to the next slide from the dark instead of cross fading.
Can you help me with this one particular problem. The problem is the videos are too lagy on my laptop but not in the PC. My laptop has higher specifications and more Ram and Nvram than the PC.

Transitions are currently a bit confusing I guess. The slide transition should work both in and out, but that will overlap with the next slide transition if that is different and play at the same time. Also the way it works currently don't allow for proper cross transition.
Lastly you can try changing the "Preview frame rate" in the settings, under "Other" from "Auto" to "Full".

Thank you! Yes. Go to the settings, and click "Styles", set the template you want. Go to "Outputs" and make sure it has the style you just set. 😊

hey, im wondering if theres any way i can change the link in which i get the lyrics from because genius doesn’t have a lot of the Spanish lyrics because at my church we sing Spanish songs so yeah
No, it's not that easy. You will have to find and copy the lyrics manually from other sites currently. But it should be easy to just paste the text after you have found the lyrics.
my another problem is while presenting the scripture by using certain templates only chapter name and verse is shown in projector. the verse is shown only in bottom pr5eview but not in upper preview and projector screen. please help. Thank You!!
Are you using the default "Scripture" template, and pressed the present "play" button? You can try pressing "New show", and see if that works better.
When creating shows I’m having trouble finding the lyrics, when I press the search button it just loads continuously and doesn’t find the song. We’re connected to the internet and allowed freeshow exe to have access to the internet, do you have any suggestions?
It was not working in the previous version, but should work fine now. It might also not find all the songs you search for.
This is a great app! But I noticed when I try to have a welcome loop in the beginning I put a picture and two videos that are like 30 seconds long, when I click on the picture after timer it goes to the video, then once it goes to a video it will not go to a next slide. I probably am doing something wrong. Is there a way to go to next slide with a video and not just a picture automatically? Thanks! And again, Thanks for this cool app!
Thanks! Try right clicking on the slide with the video background, choose "Actions" then enable "Next after media". This should work.
I have, but it won't seem to go to the next video, I tried taking off loop but it will just stop after the video is played. Thanks so much for your help! @@freeshowapp

I just found this app and I want to try it next Sunday. Can I have the Bible work offline? Like download it somewhere because my church might not have internet connection during services
Great. You can search the web for XML bibles that you can import offline. E.g. Zefania.

@@MartinKarari Okay, go to the "Scripture" tab in the drawer, then click "New scripture" in the bottom left, then choose the type you have under "Or import your own", and select the xml file.
I started using freeshow a while back and its really good but it keeps crashing a lot. Is this an app problem or a pc problem? Im confused

Love the software but there are two things that could possibly make it better (for my experience):
1 / Bug fix: When you underline the Header/Version of the scriptures and change the color, the underline is black and I can't change it.
2 / Feature: When you make the scriptures with the Header/Version they are both spaced apart. I can see it it more of the shorter verses. Kinda like what easyworship does.
I hope that you could help me out here with your software and would be able to be fully satisficed with it.

1. Looks like having outline enabled, the underline will be the same color as the outline. I can't do anything about that. But by setting the outline to 0 the underline shows the correct text color.
2. I made it so if the template only has one textbox, the version text will be added on top of the text as you showed, and then it will get the correct style from the first line as well. Update very soon!

This is such a well made software! I'm seriously baffled. Is there a way to display scriptures in two different languages at the same time?
Hi, thank you. If you select multiple scriptures that are imported on the left in the drawer, right click them and click "Create collection", this way you can use it like normal, but it will output multiple.

Okay. I do have two more questions. Thank you so much for your prompt responses!
1) Is it possible for me to present the verses in a different way instead of horizontally? For example, I have 3 languages that I'd like to present at once. Currently, the default is 3 text boxes in a horizontal shape with a certain text size and font. If I want to edit these to be vertical boxes with smaller text, would that be possible?
2) I have accidentally pressed the "Present (Ctrl +0)" a couple of time while experimenting. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to exit from that. It makes my whole screen black. I have tried to press Ctrl + 0, Esc, and click around, but I've had to force close to app. I'm sure you've designed a different way to get out of the Present mode. Just can't find it.

1. You can edit the scripture temple in the drawer, or add new ones to style them however you want.
2. You should be able to press Ctrl+O (not 0) again to close before clicking anywhere. Or you can just double click the window to close.
Can we import pdf presentations and PowerPoint??
You can import PowerPoint as text, and PDF as image currently.
I’m trying to activate the midi in sequence, I use backing tracks to automate the lyrics but for some reason, it’s not working, how can I fix this?
When adding the MIDI action, did you find the correct input? Also I guess the action is set to "Next slide", but does it work when you activate the action manually by clicking on it?
@@freeshowapp I believe I found the right input, it was reading my laptop as the input source just like pro presenter does.
And yes, I set the action to “next slide” and nothing happens.
Lately I’ve been having issues with pro presenter on a few events where it would freeze on me or crash (doesn’t happen all the time but it has happened at random times), the midi feature not working on FreeShow is the only thing that’s holding me back from doing a full switch in order to let go of pro presenter for good.
Okay, thank you. Looks like the other actions works, including "Previous slide", but not "Next slide". I will fix this for the next version. 😊

Can we add easyworship database to freeshow?
Yes, "File">"Import">"EasyWorship", then you should be able to select and import the SongsWords.db and Songs.db file.
How do i output it on vmix ? im having trouble figuring it out
I have not used vMix. But when you have enabled "NDI" on the output in FreeShow you should be able to find the output in vMix under "NDI / Desktop Capture" (at least on Windows). And if not I guess you can use the "Local Desktop Capture" option!

What do you mean "export layout on media"?

May be you can do video guide export layout on media ok? I use software free.

@@catner70 You have to click on the button in the top right, so it turns red. Then the output window is live, and you should be able to find it in OBS. You can also turn off "Always on top" in settings if you want.
