It looks like a lot of the original orange trees on this land are gone now. I used to buy oranges from this place, that was around 1991. :)
Yeah buddy. Thank you. Growing food is life.
Good i am also planting these
The Holiday avocado tends to be bigger, the skin is a little lighter and smoother than the Hass. The Hass skin turns a lot darker when ripe. The citrus trees are so fruitful.
Amazing avocado trees, awesome.
Nice
Very cool, I bet those loquat trees provide a lot of food and shelter to the local wildlife
Wow, I have a pearl tangelo I wish was that big.
very nice tree beautiful tree wow
Cool property
Nice inspiration to grow....thanks 👍
Awesome tour for avocado lovers. It was great to see the graft union and the rootstocks up close. Those rootstocks are massive. I have a bacon but I really hope it doesn't get that big hehe. Mine is 8 years old, about 3 metres tall, in a climate similar to San Francisco.
Wow very nice place 👍
Hi what an amazing tour.🌳🌳🌳
Amazing!! Amazing!! Wow thanks for sharing
I need some of those grapefruits!! They look amazing! ❤
Beautiful ❤

Holiday is much larger and more rounded but still slightly oval, doesnt look like holiday
This was bananas! (Ha see what I tried to do there?!) I wish I could buy some fruit trees from ya for an 8a greenhouse. Id do it in a second. I love your content, big fan. Super cool to me to see those huge old trees. Just copped perlite from your store, thanks!
I got a Nabal tree from a local nursery in Southern CA.
I had never seen one in person so I had to have it.
Its 3 foot tall and starting to bloom except I am culling its small fruit until the tree is at least 5 or 6 foot tall.
I am always excited to see any Nabal avocado tree when you mention it. To me it might as well be a Rock Star!
Can you talk about it more in videos and how to pick them and such? Because i hear its hard shelled and probably easy to mess up and harvest prematurely.
And to keep raving, 😂 sorry!!
my Nabal is thick branched and I am considering to graft Reed onto it. Scions are from a potted nursery Reed I got recently
My thinking is that in those years the Nabal takes its rest, the grafted Reed willl be there to whisper to its Nabal host " it's Okay, you raised me, I got your back!".
I think I read somewhere that Reed is a child of Nabal. And that in some ways Reed is a perfected Nabal.
Keep up the avocado videos
I am always quite curious about the larger fruit varieties, their history and who was involved in bringing them to the public.
Aside from that I hear
Oro Negro from Florida is also something to also rave about? And it changes color when ripe! How cool is that? The way its described makes me think it might be as good as some top rated California varieties. But is it yet available in California? Have you any experience with that variety
Thanks
Great! I get excited about Nabal too! I'll try to do videos about when to pick them. I love the history of these varieties too. I've never tried Oro Negro avocado.
Is it possible to get this guys email? What an amazing Orchard!
👍🍺
They're coming for our backyard fruit. Did you hear the announcement today that in Redlands, the agricultural officials are going to go into people's yards and strip their trees of fruit ? They say it is because of a fruit fly.
Never happen in Simi Valley because the place is already poison with radiation and toxic chemicals
The avocado you were questioning thinking it was a hass looks like a hass skin wise but the stem needs to be coming out on an angle. stem on the one in your hand was more straight out the top. I don't know what it is but I don't think it's a hass.
I would like to get some scions from you mr.graftman how can I do that? I'm a few hours away from you.
So we have 100degree in summer and minus 10 degree in winter. So plants here are a bit more resistant
Pretty much the same in Vancouver BC or interior like Kelowna. None of my citrus can survive winter or snow LOL!
bags on avocados,
does that actually deter critters from eating them? or is there another purpose?
thanks
Depends on the critter. Some can rip right through the bag and eat the avocado.
Where do all of you guys get these scions from? I can’t seem to find anything but hass avocado :/
@@AJTheGraftMan I am in SFV so very close to your area. Are there any groups around where people sell scions or do you order yours online?
Bananas are missing
dont waste your time to graft on flimsy thin branches of a big established tree, please
I'm suffering from major tree envy right now😂
