This entire show is so great, I LOVE Linda ,have just about all of her albums including "Round Midnight" This wonderful show SHOULD be ondvd for US. Beautiful standards, everyone so talented. WHY doesn't someone put the show on dvd for sale?
Hope someone listens to you, Linda Caylor. The person that should oversee deciding projects such as this and the release of other live performances and recorded material is Ms. Ronstadt herself! I pray she would have the stamina to do this, given her illness, with the assistance of others who also care so deeply about preserving her body of work. Had seen her with "her moon" on a clip of the Carson Show, but not this, and it was priceless. She ad-libbed beautifully during this prop malfunction and then gave her usual polished and pitch-perfect performance. It's so wonderful seeing a human being doing what they were meant to do and relishing the act of doing it!

Aside from the fact that many American singers have done this sing there is nothing else that allows it to be truly classified as "an American standard song". Voice fine, but this material outside her comfort zone, bland and boring. So many superior renditions by singers who undersood this genre and spent years learning how to interpret The Great American Songbook.
