POV: You're holding an entrap staff and suddenly see 5 green arrows coming straight towards your face.
The song definitely grew on me, gives a “we’re almost done, just a bit longer” vibe.
This theme is just so oddly beautiful. It sounds so oddly cryptic, but in a good way. It fits where it plays, just like the rest of the songs in this game.
Engage has very good ost and I'm here for it.
A dark fall + The Sacrifice and the Saint was not something I knew I needed.
Wow that's pretty spot on actually, I definitely agree
Very accurate. Less accurate is what comes to mind for me - temporal tower. Its not very musically close - and yet, I get that same "final dungeon" vibes. Elegant, yet majestic. And super well suited to Alear's sense of purpose in the debut chapter. Just got to CH 23 and having a ton of fun
Yet somehow triumphant.
The massive amount of reinforcements in Chapter 21 made me wanna cry LOL
the funniest part is, after beating all the introductory crap and approaching the boss, you get hit with the "now what if we spawned all reinforcements at once" and you realize "wait this isn't free exp anymore, it's time to kill the boss and get out of this damn chapter" lmao
Me : Oh reinforcement! maybe I can farm a bit before fighting the boss
enemy *appear the same amount every turn*
Me : Nope Nope I'm fighting the boss now
Always love when the game is like "Okay, time to finish the map now"
As someone that likes to rout all maps, I was SO annoyed that they just kept coming
@@SvanEsch123 My game lagged after a certain point, I counted at least 50 enemies on the screen once I started getting frame drops😂
This is the definitive map theme of Engage for me. I just picture everybody engaged up and smashing through endless enemies. Super sick
This song may seem odd out of context, but it can make such a impact
This is the kind of song I can just partially pay attention to for most of it then proceed to get hyped every time the climax plays.
At first, Bright Sandstorm was my favorite because I instantly loved it. But gradually...I don't know, but I love this one more. I love it so at the 2 minute mark.
fantastic theme
Best theme of the game.
Hard agree
This is up there with Bright Sandstorm and Trail of Heroes for me. I don't know why I love how epic this sounds.
When your team is picking up all the emblems.
Nobody:
Not a single Soul:
My ADD brain surrounded by +80 soldiers: Why does it sound like I hear birds in the background? 😆
Sounds like a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon theme.
For real, especially the violin solo that comes in at 1:05
Hearing any of Goldmarys lines during the battle with this music is something I find so badass like her crit quote “so sorry..!” Or like just hearing her say “perfection..”
My personal fave is "What's the point of you?"
The chapter would be more epic if our divine dragon is actually not available for a chapter and Velye fight on his/her behalf
That's would've been epic af
Well well, if it isn't good the guitar at 2:00 .......
this song isnt the same without cursing out of anger from alears pepsi ass not being able to take a hit from a single axe unit
Ace Attorney vibes
"promosm"
Agh something about the Engage motif is decidedly nonmusical and jarring
I agree it just sounds off
its funny you say that, i like it because of that very reason. it just feels off? but it feels otherworldly too
@@FrNSICs That would make sense, especially since this plays in Gradlon, an area of the game that should feel “wrong” and otherworldly. Sometimes weird and “wrong” is exactly what the composer was going for , and that’s good.
Edit: to put it simply, this song is meant to feel discordant.
It's modulating a lot, or at least borrowing some chords from other keys.
I never even noticed it when listening to this piece and still can't, could someone point a timestamp out to me where its present?
