Please watch the kitten around Robert’s face. I wouldn’t want him to scratch Robert in the eye. Robert is very trusting at his age. He just wants to cuddle with the kitten like he does with Kobe. ❤

Not to worry...when kittens and cats are in relaxed play mode, as this kitty definitely is, they keep their claws retracted. Dogs' claws, on the other hand, are always out, so they can scratch even with no harm intended. I'm so impressed with the sweet, gentle way Robert and his kitty are together! 👶🏼😽
Robert has learnt gentleness and respect for animals due to his wonderful family and Kobe. He will make a fine man.

The kitten loves Robert!! When he rolled onto his back and stretched out, purring contently, he was telling you he feels safe and loved. As long as Robert is careful not to make sudden or confrontational movements, he will be fine. Cats retaliate if they feel threatened or attacked. Dad did a great job of reminding Robert to be gentle. When Robert laid his head to cuddle into the kitty’s space, kitty was ‘making muffins’ on him which is an act of extreme affection. It is a leftover reflex from expressing mother’s milk as a newborn and is retriggered when an older kitten or cat feels extremely happy. No worries here. So beautiful to see Robert learning to treat animals well! ❤❤
