well... not for me. they all danced with their partners, even the girls who were alone didn’t want to dance with me. so imo maybe not going to prom at all is a good option as well

Mikayla Howard I can relate. My mom wants me to go to my junior prom but I just don’t want to go alone. Some people I know will be at prom but I would be going there by myself and the table I would sit at I wouldn’t know anyone. I can maybe go next year for senior prom ig but I’m over junior prom.
I think Prom for girls is worse solo because with Guys its kinda normal if u don't have a date, but the majority of girls go in groups or with dates naturally more

I saw this video and it cheered me up back then, but my experience... sucked. I was going as a group with 8 people and I heard one of the girls didn't have a date and so they put me with some other girl from my school. I was like okay I guess I have a date now and I was happy and confident. After the photos and the drive to the location I knew she didn't want me to dance with her or show her off when my friends asked me about her which made me feel awkward about her. I was a bit bumped out when we walked in and my true friends already had dates and we all got together and took a huge photo with me and someone else who didn't have dates feel awkward. Honestly I wished I didn't go cause now it's just a scar on my life now.
I can relate so bad. Had exactly the same experience. Just, at first i asked a girl to go with me and she agreed... then she dumped me and i had to sit in front of her and her bf at prom. and the girl that didn’t have a date didn’t seems to like me as well. I asked her to dance and she refused... then my friends bf asked her to dance and she agreed. And i tried to ask again and literally the same shit happened. Now I just have a bad experience and feel like a failure. I hope life will make it up to us somehow.

Unfortunately I can't show up and leave when I want to. My school is super strict about timing so if you don't show up at a certain time you're not allowed in, and they lock you in until a certain time.

I had noone at my school who I felt remotely close exapt for my crew of 2 close friends , me and my girlfriend at the time had broken up and so I ended up having quite an ... Interesting experience.
In my country prom isn't necessarily as big of a deal as in the US but that night I learned that if one has no interest in the girls / people in general of ones school and know the fellows good enough to be certain that I would spend the evening alone I should have gone to my favorite bar directly. Still had a pretty good time but certainly not at prom 😅
I wouldn’t say I was rejected because this girl was willing to put to prom with me but someone asked her the day I asked her to go prom. Very sad feeling cried for a little bit but imma go to prom alone and see how it is so I don’t miss an experience of a teenagers life.

Hi, I just wanted to say GO!!!! GO TO PROM!! THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO GO! I’m a senior this year as well and my super close best friend is home schooled and lives in an entire different state, then my other friend goes to a different school and not only does my bf live in a different state, he also graduated already. I have no friends at my school and you know what? That’s alright! My prom is tomorrow and what I’ll do is, I’ll be there from 7:00pm to 9:00pm instead of staying the entire 4 hours (it starts at 7pm and ends at 10pm) my mom will pick me up and we will go out to eat! The thing is; you don’t need people with you to have a good time, sure you might be nervous but at the same time, you’re making memories with yourself and you can look back and be like “damn I really went to prom by myself and totally WALKED!!” But yeah, and even if you don’t go to prom, you can always show out for graduation!!!! I’m going to wear an orange vintage themed woman’s suit with some heels then I’m going to decorate my cap with marigold flowers and put “present marigold” on the cap! But yeah you know? Either way I’m sure you’ll be awesome!

Well - for some people it might seem a bit awkward to go to an event that's intended as event for two as a single digit. People don't like being alone - that basically sums it up.
I went to prom last year. I go to a 1a school so all the high school goes. We have like 50 kids. Most boys don’t dance. I’m the only boy who would mostly dance. I danced with ever girl. All the girls where bored.

Never cared for it but I went to see how it is it was okay but it got boring so I just went home early,my other friends didn't show up it's okay because I didn't show up to homecoming and didn't care for any other high school events only one person that was a friend was there so I hung out with him,in the beginning mostly everybody was wearing something casual but mine was expensively formal as I'm like shocked.
