This is absolutely a real SS 427. Documented by GM of Canada and 2 build sheets. I sold this car 11 years ago. The customer came out from NJ to buy a different car. He was very fussy and picked this one because it was the nicest car I had. Has certified independent appraisal in 2008 for $46,500 and everything scored a 9 or 10. Since then it has been meticulously cared for and rarely used. We purchased it in 2008 from a very prestigious Chicago car collection. He had been frame off restored by Nickey Chicago.
EXTERIOR: This car is very impressive to look at even though the paint job is at least 15 years old. It has proven itself, looks like it wS painted yesterday. The body is laser beam straight. The paint looks like red glass. All of the chrome bezels, trim, lenses etc is in excellent shape. The glass is excellent and fits the top real nice. Door jambs are spotless, weatherstripping is all soft. Black convertible top is in excellent shape. The SS included a blacked out grill, SS emblems and 15 inch rally wheels. These wheels are restored, excellent trim. Has BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Super nice unabused interior. Upholstery is believed to be original, has some slight cracking in the seems. I call it minor patina, overall still looks great. The door panels are mint. The dash area is mint- the lenses, gauges, knobs, vents etc. It does have a tilt wheel, bucket seats, center console, power windows and factory kick panel speakers. Upgraded stereo fits right in the factory hole.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has it's numbers matching 427-390 hp engine. A non Super Sport had 335 hp. It is completely detailed. Everything is proper tidy and clean. It has GM hoses, clamps, spring clamp battery cables, correct manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner etc.

1969 model year was the best looking cars that GM ever made. Not just the Chevy's but all the different makes. The full size Chevy's were great cars. I've owned seven different one's from Biscayne's to Caprice's. Both 2 doors and 4 doors. None came close to being of this quality. A couple were really nice but all were original. My favorite engine was the 327. Some had 350's which must have been made later in the year since that was the last year for the 327. The only big block I had was a 1970 Caprice and it was a 454 c i. The grille being blacked out in the SS looks better than the regular Impala. I used to black out the grille's in a lot of my cars. I would spray the whole grille black and then take lacquer thinner on a rag and wipe the paint back off what I wanted to be chrome. I used gutter screen over the tail lights on the cars that had a chrome bezel over the lens. I have a 67 Chevelle now that I done both to just to make it look different from any others. Couple of things I noticed that didn't look right on this one is the trunk lid hinges being black instead of body color and the door latches being painted. Very nice car regardless. If money was no object I would buy it along with many others.

@@VoloMuseumAutoSales Sure wish such a dream could come true. But, living in the northeast with no garage makes that unlikely....Oh well, my retirement home will definitely include a big garage...

Looks very nice and clean. Car has been resprayed at least once. Perhaps of good quality, but painter didn't bother to remove the door latches . . . which could indicate a quickie job. Canadian documentation is a nice feature.

Why can't we see the top going up and down? It is a convertible for goodness sake! Half the fun of having a drop top is the pleasure of people seeing the top going up and down.

Many times it is because the top won't clear in the room, the ceiling is fairly low and the lights hang below that. There are pictures of the vehicle with the top up.
