I saw an Interview where you shed a tear Lily. I saw when you talked about the hate you recieve, you showed such disgust and dismay at this with such honesty in your eyes. That's what separates you from them. They are wolves and you are a sheep dog. Keep on with your brilliant and inspirational videos. My Niece loves you too and she's only six!

This is my first time commenting on your channel I have been watching you a very long time as well as Vanessa‘s channel. I live in Michigan in the United States out in the country. I try to camp at least once a month for the three seasons. I have a very big backyard that I camp in most of the time as I have only one neighbor really. I try to be very rustic but I do camp out of my truck. I just want to say U2 ladies inspire me so much as a watch all the bush craft channels with the boys it sure is nice to see that two ladies can do it as well. Keep up the great work girls I absolutely love both of your channels and watch every video. You’re so inspiring and congratulations on your recent wedding Lily so happy for you.

This was me at your age. So good for ANYONE to gain these skills and learn to create and improvise as needed. Never be afraid to try. I would tell myself if so&so can do this, so can I!!! I learned about motors by taking one out and apart and rebuilding it. Learned about large and small appliances the same way. Plumbing, carpentry, electrical (not my favorite!!) camping and survival skills all by trial and error. Terrific life lessons!! You go girls!!!❤ And boys too:)

For those whom don't know. Vanessa was bit by a tick and contracted one serious disease that left one side of her face some what paralyzed. She was hospitalized for a while, she came out of it and is back home alive.

Thank you ladies, this takes me back to what I would call my glory days in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Circa 1980 before the valley got developed. It was 6 acres of woodland surrounded by national park land. I still own the land and have built a 2 story cabin there. Off the grid basic no frills fancy shed. I miss the days of stringing a rope between 2 trees and throwing a tarp over it for a shelter. If either of you get to the states and would like to see Virginia, I'll let you use the cabin.
The two best talented and skill girls I know, I learned a lot from your experience.

Actually, I would definitly come, just for work on this awesome camp and I probably would also cook something. I love austria and the nature there and just by the way...they filmed it at 30th of August and I just started on 2nd of September to a trip to Austria. This is not far away, just several hours by train for me. I just need to park my toddler anywhere.

I'm an old camper (mid 60s). and I'm not that easily impressed, but your lights are very good really lit the camp up!
Really enjoyed that Video. I will check out Vanessa's channel. Some hard work on that shelter, looks extremely comfortable. I have never eaten goulash although a lot of the Austrian hunters who visit Sweden make it very regularly.

Twp Brawny Woodsladies! Watching you two reminds me of my age. I used to look for a good campsite and then find wood. Now I look for a spot covered with dead wood and camp there. That firesteel really gives the sparks!! I really like the lights, as well.

Lilly, Instead of using a saw to cut firewood, try finding two trees that grew close together at the base and created a "V". Put the branch between the V and snap off lengths of firewood. Just a tip that works for me. Love your videos!

Survival Lilly was one of first youtube channels I started watching when my wife got rid of cable tv.. I really enjoy the winter videos. I was a mad hiker and camper of tents and tarps before I got married. I live in the NW hills of Connecticut and my mothers family are French Canadian and dear old Dad,s is from Calabria Italy. But I love Winter and snow. I don't like driving the big rigs in snow and ice but sometimes I have to.
Your cutting of firewood reminds me of my time living on The Isle of Skye in Scotland. Cutting peat. The process keeps you warm twice. Once in cutting, a second time in burning.
Ever find any cool stuff in the bog?

When cooking foods that need a long cooking time start your fire early and let the meat cook while collecting more wood.

Best saw I think cuz I grew up using. .41 and a. .45av I now use a ms170 working on saving for a bigger one to cut with grain takes power and 10 degree chain

Lilly to get your stakes out of the ground in future, you could use leverage. Loop wire or rope around the base of the stake, place the end of a larger long pole against the stake and inside the loop and place a large rock next to the larger pole - use it to give you leverage and you can get the pole out much ore easily
It was great to see you two camping together. You would sleep warmer if you would change you clothes that you worked in all day moisture is trapped in you clothes and it makes you colder at night. I always change everything before I go to bed. The deer stew looked amazing. Thanks for sharing.

When using wood in ground char the ends first that will be in contact with ground and a little above ground level to prevent rot and insects

Cut a "V" notch in the top of your stump or splitting log to keep long pieces from rolling while saw is being used . Better for one person saw work . I am no expert but this has helped me over the years . Thanks to my Grandfather .
How do you manage to see two such lovelies together in the forest? In all my travels l have never met a female survivalist actually in the forest ever
