as a person who was a victim of this (friend stole a gleam duskit from me, a thing I was trying to get for a long time, traded it for a gleam cosmiore) I actually feel the same
(also like 4 months later another friend casually did the exact same thing to me by asking for a gleam duskit they gave me as a result of the previous situation back, and *proceeds to trade it off for a gleam metronette* and expect me to not have a PTSD breakdown)

I've been in the same situation with an irl friend on a different roblox game. It hurts not only because of what you lost, but also because of how much you trusted them. Glad he got it back, haven't got mine back and its been 3ish years now. It hurts me to see others getting hurt.

I honestly don’t get why the mods asked John he wanted to give it back or else he would be getting banned, they basically told john: “here are your options, you either don’t give it back or you don’t give it back”

These different coloured pixels are literally useless outside of trading. They're generally not useful in PVP and at most can only have the perk of looking cool. When these traders can no longer trade their precious colours anymore they lack a purpose. So essentially if he didn't give it back that would be purely a dick move which he gains nothing from or give it back so he can still make trade profits. The trading community ass anyways.
So apparently giving personal info of your account to other person is breaking TOS of trading and they say that they can't help you if you break the rules
No matter how much you trust a person, never give them your account information. This was his fault and could have been prevented. I'm pretty sure account sharing is against Roblox's TOS but I'm not sure.
that's true, but his "friend" that stabbed him in the back was just as horrible, if not worse. Loyalty is loyalty. I still have a friend of many years, like about 4-5+ years now online that I've shared my account and he never did anything but play on it (and I've had crazy good stuff). It's really all about the friend and if you know how they act.

man my loomian legacy account is utterly worthless but i cant think of any situation where i would share my account, its a precious part of a childhood
One thing I just don't get is why people would trust people hunting on others people's account. I have roblox friends, but I NEVER go all the way to do something like this, even if I have trust for someone for over 3 years. I do think these kind of scams should be taken care of better though.
which is why I think it is wrong for LuckyHD to throw shade at the loomian legacy devs for not helping these "victims", when people like Sun_Lando are breaking the TERMS OF TRADING by allowing another person to login to their account. The terms of trading states they cannot help return a loomian if there rules are broken, and it also states that are trades are final, so they cannot just force someone to revert a trade.

The scammer taking lando's thing, I relate to loosing the ghw duskit. I lost it I was quite dumb. I'm not gonna explain it but I got scammed out of my ghw duskit, which I regret alot for going through the trade, but I moved on, although it still haunts me. Most scammers are people that got scammed, but I found no point in scamming. Also, I feel bad for this whole situation but I'm glad there was a happy ending.

I got scammed out of a gleam sap geklow once in a situation very similar to this, and after asking the devs, they (of course) said the same thing that they said to Lando with his protogon, saying that since it was traded there is nothing they can do. Very sad to see this is how things are with this game.

Same thing happened to me over a year ago (July 2022) i was involved in the MERGE scam me and a group of friends lost OVER ONE THOUSAND GR (I lost 500) and the LL mods told us they could do nothing. The person who took all the GR but he HAD NOTHING LEFT as he gave it all away to the richest LL traders. (reverse "robin hood" some might say) The traders refused to give anything back to us.
We need a failsafe system to get back the scammed Loomians. Like, for example, you trade a gamma slug for a gamma Kabunga and that slug was traded for a gamma Craytal, once this safe is activated, all of these trades would be reversed and the original owners before the trade started, would be back those Loomians. And we would know who traded with who, in case they wanted to offer for that Loomian again. If you think this is a good idea simple like this comment.

Sorry but moderators have nothing to do more than banning scammers from the game. Why would you share your Roblox account if you have +1k GR in your inventory? I'm happy he got his loomian back but I know that we can't stop scamming. Everyone must be careful about it.

the "John incident" happened to me once a long time ago. It was in PBB, and i was the only one in my friend group who played the most but not progress the furthest. I went to a schoolmate's house for a party and decided to login to my roblox account on his deaktop and play some phantom forces coz i didnt have a laptop yet. It was foolish of me, coz one day they were teasing me and stuff so i got mad and said things back, but then the friend who had my acc on his pc, he and his brother decided to get back at me by logging into my account specifically Brick Bronze to release every pokemon i had. I had every starter at max level and some mega evolutions, not to mention a crystal onix and shiny Regice that was gifted to me. they proceeded to delete everything and not trade anything away and left me with a non-shiny eevee named "get good".
It's been more than half a decade now and i was so upset, but hey its just a game (that got deleted from the face of the earth no less) and me and one of the brothers are still pretty close friends in university now. Moral of the story is: don't trust 12yo friends (the age we were at that time) that bully you and cant take a joke, or else ur LL boxes will look like it was raided. :/
Yeah ngl this whole situation has caused a decline in my trust of the developers. Like is it so hard to make it where if a scam is reported they are forced to return it or get banned
That same dude who took sun Landon’s stuff actually took my stuff too, in a similar way. It’s a really long story but the dude basically stole around 40-50 GR from me out of pure anger from his own actions. He stole it and gave it away to some random CZcamsr who then refused to give me my stuff back unless he got to keep some stuff. So I got some of my things back but ever since then I knew something was up with him. If anyone’s interested just tell me if u wanna hear full story lol. Screw u CCGrulz 🥰

Lando is also at fault here. I don’t condone scamming and I also do think that the developers should do something about the John guy, but Lando should have been more aware about his account. Because of Lando sharing his account with the John dude, John made the situation look like it wasn’t counted as scamming, and also caused disturbance to other people. He’s lucky that there are people who were willing to help him. Don’t be a fool, guys
Honestly they could implement a trade password, a password you make when you first join the trade resort that you need to type in before confirming a trade

Good idea actually. There could be an option in settings to set it on or off but you’d need to type in password. Only problem is if you forget it in which case it should be verified in discord before you can make one.

i think at this point luckyhd is one of the best people in the community im so glad people like lucky are around to show sympathy and help to people who need it

My friend did, like, the EXACT same thing. He asked to borrow my gleam hw cephalops, I trusted him, and he then traded it away for ONE GAMMA

tbh even if you can trust someone completly there is still things to never do with them like sharing your account's password or any personal info. When they say that they mean it you never know when you would either be hacked or a victim of scam

Thing is, John did nothing wrong the 2nd scenario. He got the W fairly even if it was because of someone else’s actions. You cant force someone to give back something they got, threatening them with a trade ban, if they didn’t do anything “immoral.” John did the scam in the past, but he’s not in the fault this time. You can’t punish someone of something they have already been punished for.
Sure, we all think it would be better if he gave it back, but no one is completely selfless.
I hope that this may be a lesson to everyone:
-Do not let anyone into your account, and only trust your friends with loomians you can easily replace.
I got this video recommended and this is just ridiculous. this isnt some elaborate scam, people just share passwords and thats already a really stupid thing to do. Maybe people will actually learn when these scammers finally get away

im not sure if the loom mods care or anyone else but a long time ago i accendently traded a santa ragoon with my ot to a person for a gastroke and i thought it was a halloween one, i would be happy just knowing the player still played the game. also that was very kind of you for helping lando get his most prized loomain back.

This reminds me of a guy on doodle world that seemed to be sharking/scamming me in a trade and he start saying I wasted his time when I realized he was being fair in a trade then started cussing at me and I told the a mod and then they asked the owner if they should do something bout it but he said no bc it was just in dms which felt entirely unfair and the guy just got away with it and the mod was nice and wished that wish would have done something bout the person

I used to have a friend who had insanely rare loomians like GG roamings , rainbow wisp route rare etc. but one day someone hacked into his account and stole all his valuables in LL and released every loomian he had.
He hasn't played roblox ever since...

This also happened to me. I had given 350+ GR and my most prized loomian. I Had made a down payment for 2 GGRE Swachies. The next day, The account that had my loomians were gone. I haven’t found them, and probably won’t. I have given up on trading, and stopped playing loomian legacy. Don’t Give out your password. I won’t end well.

This is the exact reason why greed doesn't pay off, especially for catching a specific pokemon/loomian when it comes to trading!
And I agree with LuckyHD on this. If the moderators in Loomian Legacy isn't doing anything in its power to do this and let other potential scammers just roam around freely with others' worked loomians, then LL shouldn't feel respected for not being aware of others rather than focusing on their own thing, especially during updates.

This is why you should NEVER EVER give anyone your password to any accounts, not even your closest friend. I believe that all parties are at fault, minus the LL moderators. The players who lost loomians are at fault because they WILLINGLY gave their roblox password to someone. I believe the players who gave their password and then got scammed in the first place are the most responsible for this. They are lucky that their entire account did not get taken. The players who stole loomians are at fault for stealing them. The moderators of LL are not responsible for stupid things people do.

I don’t share my passwords with anyone else in my friend group at all. I had one friend who ask me for my alpha gleam Nevermare last Halloween and I asked them why. Turns out they wanted to trust trade someone for a gamma that was why over priced. I didn’t give it to them, I still have it, cause it’s my first roaming alpha gleam. But I never talked to that person again.

I think Loomian Legacy trade rules system works the same as a Roblox trading.
2 years ago someone got into my account and traded to his alt account all of my limited hats etc. for crappy other hats. Worth of all of them was 500k robux. I reported that to Roblox and they said exact same thing like LL moderators "That was legit trade, we can't do anything with that." xD So yeah... I'm glad that Sun_Lando atleast got his Protogon back :)
Having earned someones trust is hard and scamming the person that trusted them and ruining a 3 year old freindship just to try to get a loomian they lost back is just tragic and in the long run they earned nothing from it and lost a good freind and his reputiation in the LL community and idk what it was like for lando but it must have been a really stressful and heartbreaking situation for him
I think LL should implement a trade password system. It would work by requiring a password for confirming a trade. This way friends would still be able to share roblox accounts while still keeping their trade passwords, which allows for them to not get scammed.

LL trade banned me for 73 days for ban evading and I didn’t even know.. and I got death threats, I trade baited someone on accident but most people don’t believe me bruh

Honestly this is some extreme bull crap I've seen, if your willing to make a game and manage it you should be fully responsible and committed to it, not like "oh what ever" its your fcking game, sure you can choose to do nothing about it, guess what you're going to get flamed in the internet. I don't get why a person would trust someone with their account in the first place even if it is a best friend.
1. You're asking to eventually get scammed
2. At least change your password after every time that they log in, have 2fa and/or set a time limit till you log your friend out of the account.
I'm not saying you shouldn't trust your friends but if they accidentally somehow get a login method to your account leaked you're the one who faces the consequences and if they let greed get the better of them you're the one who faces the consequences. I'm not saying the devs aren't entirely in the right as imo they should've locked bro up after the first screw up or even trade banned him for at least over a year if he chose to keep the stuff so he at least has time to grow as a person. And the guy who was on Sun_Lando's account should've at least done some research on people he's trading with if he's trading someone else's stuff without their permission so if he needs to he can get it all back he most likely can. The trading community is a scummy place (I'm sorry for the generalisation but I've seen too much bad from the people in said community over some silly little pixels) so I don't see why bro would take risks like that. All parties were in the wrong, one could say sun_lando was in the least wrong but he still has some blame towards him. They need to lock up "John" though ngl and I get that the fact that the friend returned the stuff but he should also be temporarily trade banned

I don't even play this game anymore, nor do I even play roblox that much but this shit is horrible. While yes, he shouldn't have gave his account, when you're best friends with someone for a long time, you trust them over time and you know everything about them and so on. Plus, don't act like people don't break TOS rules all the time. Now idk how much of "best friends" they were, but he must've really really trusted and thought his friend was loyal. His friend is a horrible person for doing that, that aint even a friend no more. Those type of people usually continue scamming or continue on with that scam tendencies, so I'd really be wary of him on any other games/platforms. Now I've never been scammed before but I can say I'll sure be hell pissed

Never ever share you passwords in roblox and any website, just because you trust him allot doesn't mean you literally give them your password, you can just do it yourselves, and if you two met eachother doesn't mean you give them your phone immediately because they're a literal stranger!

This is why it's hard to trust people. Imagine the countless of other people who have been scammed, and are silenced because they can't get the attention of others to make a situation right.
what these situations have taught me is...DON'T for whatever reason share your roblox password or ANY password to anyone/stranger online
Doesn’t it say on a sign that don’t trust other people, or that loomians that are traded will not be given back. Makes sense they didn’t break the rules to give back the loomian. Imagine getting a good deal, and then admins forcing you to trade it back because it was “illegitimately traded” out of the original owner.

I actually went through this same scam like a few weeks ago and lost all my stuff, I was already quiting loomian legacy so I didnt care and now it has been too long to do anything.
It really sucked. I knew that "john" guy aswell... he gave my friend helzzy an Alpha hw proto for free... and it was scammed. He probably tried to get helzzy trade banned. Helzzy gave the original owner the proto back and was furious at "john".
I was scammed one. I was too nice. The scammer in person said he had trouble with the theatres. I was too friendly, gave some of my loomians to him . Again and again theatre after theatre. I gave half my best looms to him. He unfriended me. Fortunately because of the code that gave me 10 tokens i gained half of my loomians back by training up pre evolved looms with experience points
