- Seoul was sooooo much fun! There were tons of quirky food and lots of shopping, I really had a great time there even though we had to leave early boo! I'm gonna have to make a trip back and explore the surrounding islands (I heard Jeju island was amazing!). The protests you saw were probably because of sewolho incident which took place about few year ago where a ship with almost 300 students sank in the middle of ocean. People of korea are still asking the president, who did not take any action as the ship was sinking, to just say something and take some approporiate action about it. Instead of doing what was supposed to be done, the government is spreading its unrightful power over civilians arresting them for standing up against the government. And in order for the president to gain support from the people, the government would often spread false report saying that the N. Korea is threatening to bomb because when it actually happens people cannot help but to rely on the government to protect the country but I doubt that will happen. Im sorry this comment got way to long. But i had to let you know the fact :) thanks for the travel vlog! Loved it! It was lovely to see familiar places.

i'm so happy that you got to visit Seoul, Korea!! But actually, you didn't really go back to the state that earlier. Because that kind of protest and threatening by North Korea are suuuuper common and typical especially when some political issues are going on. Also, it never gets more serious than that. But i totally understand how much foreigners get worried about it, so yeah please come visit to Korea one more again!! There are still a ton of different things you haven't seen yet !! :))))

I was teaching over in Korea for about two years and during my stay, there were many scary moments where North Korea acted crazy .. Many of my Korean friends said to ignore it and it's normal. I knew of other english teachers that left because of these situations. I'm happy you returned home safely! ~

+tina nguyen Yes!! I certainly do and I hate it! My face always gets puffy and my hands and feet too! For long haul flights, try to keep hydrated and walk around if you can, but I usually just let it be, my body deflates after a few hours lol
