    Passion yes. This preacher did something very problematic. He equated Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, and Laquan McDonald.
    Michael Brown death has been investigated 3 times. Including by a DA who ran on platform of reopening the case. So AG Holder (black) DA St Louis Wesley Bell (black) said Brown death was not murder. This preach condemned white evangelicals when the facts are to call Brown death a murder has no facts supporting it..
    Trayvon Martin was a black youth killed by a brown man. George Zimmerman was of Afro-Peruvian decent. So white evangelicals should have called a brown man killing a black youth white racism even though the black alternate juror agree with the verdict of not guilty.
    Laqaun McDonald was shot 16 times walking away from police. The mayor was Rahm Emanuel former chief of staff to president Obama. A white reporter had to sue to get the city to release the video. Then after its release the officer was fired then charged. So white evangelical are responsible because the Mayor and political structure support by the black church in Chicago failed to release the video an charge the officer for an obvious crime. Once charged the officer was found guilty.
    This is wrong. To lump all these cases together is to discredit yourself. Now if you have an agenda that does not require discernment this will work for you.

    We should seek racial reconciliation to honor Christ and the Gospel but less should be made of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr by the Gospel Coalition. His theology was so unorthodox and his personal life so full of sexual sin I doubt that he was saved. Only God knows for sure, but the printed evidence the human eye can observe to reach this likely conclusion is damning.

    • @BGeorgeVideo
      @BGeorgeVideo Před 4 lety +4

      Mike Nicholson how much could we doubt the degree of ‘saved’ were the Pastors and churches that stood idol as injustice reigned in America ..... There’s plenty of Biblical figures that had multiple wives and a variety of mis-givings ..... ppl lift Kings name because of his self-sacrifice in the midst of the oppression he was up against, and his willingness to speak out against the ills of his time ...... questioning if he’s truly saved or not means you only look at the fact that he gave the ultimate sacrifice seeking equality for the least the lonely and the left out ..... every piece of scripture doesn’t automatically translate wt everyone .... in Kings case, we see his personal mistakes in light of what he was fighting against ........ I believe your next statement should be one to chastise the White Church community that was doing nothing

      To dragon slayer:
      The starting point for overcoming racism is being in Christ which comes by faith alone. It seems this is not enough for this preacher. He thinks it is shallow to believe this the starting point.
      He says shame on us for not standing up to racism. It is Christ alone living in us (first) that is the source of the Love and justice he speaks of.

      I was offended that he brought up a Trump smear and Obama superiority bias. ( To promote racism from the pulpit. )
      I refused to listen to the rest of the sermon because he was stirring up racial division. I dont call that idolatry. On the contrary the apostle Paul had to take Peter aside and rebuke him when under pressure he stopped eating with Gentiles when he saw the Hebrew party arriving. Do you see the racial divide there? It was between Jew and gentile. It needs to be called out as wrong. So you misunderstood me. The division I am speaking of is a racial division that could not be allowed to fester.
      The division you mentioned was to the lordship of Christ. That is certainly gospel truth. I agree!
      But that being said, what in particular made you so upset?
      Causing racial division upset me Which is not Gospel. Which is destructive to the church. His comments where accusations! Then he said: by the way, I’m not talking about you Matt (Chandler)
