Element Ecto is a great RTR or the Axial Base Camp or Traxxas Trx4. Trail running is so nice and relaxing compared to bashing.

Hey love the new build man can't wait to see what you're able to make of it. would love to see a video explaining the thought process of running your portal in the back and a straight axle in the front really a unique idea and truck has a killer stance to it it seems to be fairly planted.I can definitely see a lot of potential. I built this chassis a few months back. Didn't go with that trans because of the reviews. I went with the Amazon dig trans and a Vader flat skid. Biggest suggestion I could make is sand the corners down on the belly. It's an odd ball, but man does it climb.
I did the sanding on my belly as well.
I got the same chassis with a 3 gear with dig and I’m running trx4 axles.
I’m also running the proline cliffhanger body
If u double bend the rear links it should have a ton of clearance.
...Ya, but sometimes it is better to have that "slide-up" effect, bringing up the rear-end & weight !!

I am currently running the injora lcg chassis on capra axles , very similar layout , forward transmission . Managed 1st place in class 2 at the UK nationals with it. The injora comes link kit but no transmission
what Transmission are you using for that?
Procrawler grind 431 transmission.
My back up c2 truck runs 62%overdrive didn't know it had that much when I bought it but love that it dus have that much
After 4 years of 1/24 i would really like a 1/10 but cant find anything i like. Would love to throw sth. like this together on a budget.

Got a Fimonda cf lcg coming in the mail from China. Comes w/ links and their forward mount trans. Looks like a g speed copy. I’ll run an AR44 front w/ SOA and a TRX4 sport rear w/ Dlux riser, because it’s what I have on deck. I have a spare Capra cage I’ll cut up pretty extreme and slam it down low on. Also be running CF 2.2 wheels. I’m shooting for MOA lines w/ the extreme break-over capability in a Capra looking crawler. Should be fun! 🤘☠️
Don't expect too much from that frame...MOA lines are out of the question though...you will see😉
Had that frame build for a friend...kinda pain and the geometry is ...hmm...lets say strange. He sold the frame/gearbox after his first comp and got one of my frames 😄
They sell this with links and everything. Been thinking of pulling the trigger on the full kit

Whats your reasoning that some overdrive is to much for the trails but ok for comp ? Are you having issues just regular trail crawling with od ?
Joe you think the Baja pro X with printed inserts would be good for crawling? I remember they crushed the ramp test in the big tire shootout you did not too long ago, and that was using stock foams (if I remember correctly)
