- I'm stoked to present you the 100 subscribers special video. I've prepared and performed four techno ideas on my Volca Sample, to celebrate hitting this goal. I'm breaking out a nice shirt, hard rumble kicks, and a lot of energy. You can join me in awkward dancing for a short lockdown rave, or just sit back and enjoy the show. :)

Volca Sample may be quite a limited device, but with some creativity, it can be very surprising with it's capabilities. 😉 I'm glad that you've enjoyed the video and thank you for the subscription!

When I was still considering getting a Volca Sample, I already knew that I wanted to make stuff that'll surprise people with what's possible on this little machine. Glad to hear I'm succeeding! :)

@@Chaotrick does it come with the gear to transfer the samples from pc to it? Because where i bought it, it wasnt listed if it had extra parts/cables.
@@asteriks_hardcore You don't need any external gear for transfering samples. In first gen of Volca Sample, you'd use an audio cable that comes with it. With Volca Sample 2, you transfer samples with an USB-A cable, which is not included as far as I remember, but the cables are so common that you'll most likely have one laying around. 🙂

Very nice bruv, subbed. You get the samples from a sample pack or make your own? Some nice synth sounds in there.
Thank you! In this video, the samples are a mixture. Kicks are made by me. Some of the synth sounds are mine as well, mostly made with feedback loops. Then there's a few 909 samples from a pack, and a few synth sounds come from Legowelt's free sample packs as well.

Thanks! In my opinion, Sample is the most versatile of the Volca family. It offers a lot of possibilities, depending on the loaded samples and the way you wanna use it. I'm glad you've enjoyed the video!

That's awesome, thank you for sharing! Volca Sample is an awesome device. Despite all it's limitations, it's possible to make great music with it.

Is it possible to play like a 1 hour set with it and also a good variety. Absolute banger set btw
Technicaly, it would be possible, but it'd be quite difficult. There's only 16 patterns and they're quite short (16 steps), so variation and structure would be harder to achieve.
@@Chaotrick oh mhhh thank you! Can you recommend any other sampler which isn't so expensive?
@@babynito It all depends on what you're looking for. It's difficult to find a piece of gear that's powerful and budget friendly.
You could look into Koala Sampler. It's an app, but it's quite powerful and flexible. It's constantly updated and I made tons of music with it, I wouldn't made otherwise. It's going to be cheaper than a piece of gear and give you a lot of flexibility. ;)

how you did acid sound?
One acid sound was found on the web, in a TB-303 sample pack. The other one was crafted in Synth1. The trick to the cool modulation on the vSample was to use the samples with a long sustained note and a filtersweep. Then the start point knob acts like a filter cutoff.
